As someone that served in the North, this is a bad idea. When they get to jss1, it will be very difficult to transfer knowledge with English language. I saw a whole lot of jss1 students that couldn't write or even speak good English. They always prefer Hausa. This will only make them productive within Hausa speaking areas.
