2 Nigerians were accepted to nuclear physics last year. And it was categorically said on most of d program site that maximum of 3 nationalities per program. The issue is that for some program, some nationalities don't have representative at all and for majority, many countries are under represented. Meanwhile, having many person from a nation that applied for a program does not mean all will reach the threshold.

Come to think of it...erasmus is not a popular scholarship in Nigeria. I'm sure it ranks below PTFD and all the others. just wondering when naija guys will come to know it fully.....they will have to create Erasmus Africa....cos the influx of applications ehnnnn....

nobody have been called for interview for the IDOH programme, they just sent mails to eligible applicants. the next stage will be application assessement for interviews.

I don't doubt you bro. Their message is very clear. Just use what they asked you to use to avoid any issues. God will guide and help us all. A friend of mine got called today for interview. He applied for IDOH....one public health and infectious disease stuff like that. So let's remain hopeful.

I used my state of origin certificate collected in abuja. it was dated Nov 2017. two programmes MESPOM and SERP+ said my documents were okay. so i guess they accepted it. They better not treat me a programme....when did Nigeria become programme....lmao. This residency shouldnt be a big deal. I feel i just depends on the consortium and what they feel is okay. Secondly the consortium handling should be able to ask you to send a more relevant doc if th one you sent is not okay. they sent to me and i changed the doc, they sent to my friend too and she changed hers.

Let Erasmus just give Nigerians this year...next year they can give another country......anyone thinking in my line....lol?

Lol; i applied for the IMETE program early November and within four weeks of applying my status changed from under review to Academically Admitted via the application portal. I understand that this does not automatically mean that i've been awarded, but the first step into the bigger game is an encouragement to the soul as i beg the Lord to shower his favor on us. So House, are my chances still good?

Yea its a good step....just keep being positive.....before 30th April I guess you should know your fate.....Lets just hope, pray and not worry.

Yes, don't do that if your program didn't ask you to use it...I scanned all because it was an option for mine, Moreover I will attach my Nat ID Slip to it since it bears my Address.

exactly drhammed. you can just put more than one doc so that they choose the one they want. passport page is diiferent from all the pages of your passport. one serves as identification. the other shows that you have not left your country.

Try to make it recent. 2011 is a long time. If you have NEPA bill use it. let the document not be earlier than march 2017. what they check for is the date and ur address written on the document.

What did you use as Residency Certificate?

Just to add, two consortiums accepted my state of origin certificate. one bounced it. so i had to get a letter from the local government (with their letter head) stating my address, then another letter from my employer stating my address- and the accepted it.

they said 600 words maximum- y u like the program,.......like other normal essay.but u know competition wet dey for Erasmus. and for security ,no experience. just nysc teaching and maybe sales.

It doesnt matter. Maximize your NYSC and Sales experience. Just think deep to events and relate them. For example, I made a switch from being a quality control chemist to a banker. I mentioned it in my motivation letter. but i added that I have learned about adaptability and how to serve the needs of customers - at the personality part" So I guess we humans are a sum of all our experiences and that is what they wanna see.
So go ahead, and write from your heart.

I didn't apply for BIFTEC, the cost of applying was too huge....if you did apply...you really tried.

But you can get someone to read it for you and make some corrections.
Theres a free site called SCRIBENS. it can edit your grammar and sentences. There are also free plagiarism tools to check your work. PLAGSCAN is okay.

They didnt give you what to write? cos most of theses guys gave what to write so i started wondering if i was writing an essay or a motivation letter. And they want you to write the whole world in 1 page,.....I feel your pain bro.

Thing is, someone like me took a full year to plan my applications into their programmes. Took it bit by bit. From International passport to IELTS to obtaining transcripts, so nothing would catch me unawares or be rushed.

It will not hurt to try sending a mail to the programmes one is applying to. Stating the strike with supporting documents like newspaper publications, one can never tell what will come out of that.

Wow, thats impressive. Yea that idea of sending a mail is actually an unexplored option which might have paid off.

It's a privilege for those who were able to apply for this scholarship. A lotta guys wanted to but could not get their transcripts due to ASUU and NASU strike.
I dont know much about the erasmus scholarshipbut according to the EACH consortium but I think, if you've had your masters in the UK or any of the programme countries in the last five years you belong to the PROGRAMME and not the PARTNER country.

It's nice to be here. I guess the long wait has started. I applied for EACH, SERP+ and MESPOM. I had to write a gruelling chemistry test for EACH (excellence in analytical chemistry).
