Some folks on our MESPOM facebook page are getting called for interviews. One was called on the 22nd feb, another today...me I'm still refreshing my mails....every second....The stakes are high!!!

Na international olympics!!! some of these courses are very competitive

For guys that will be needing visa infos like belgium, estonia, germany and co...there are threads on nairaland devoted to these kind of info. feel free to search nairaland.

Some grad schools won't give you specific reasons. If they do, they are calling for lawsuits or challenge from candidates, especially those ones that believe they have all that is required to be admitted. Instead, you receive a generic regret mail.

No reason. It was the normal generic reject email.

Sh**...sometimes I wish these guys would just tell us so we can beef up subsequent applications. Sometimes I wonder what they seek. I wish I could just get a revelation on that. Cos its really disheartening when you package a complete application and it gets rejected. not like you failed a test or sth.

Its really sad....but lets not be discouraged or give up. Was there any reason given the rejection?

Give it a try, no harm in trying. Some people do cancel their application and when they do, those dates would be available.

I don't know anyone moving through Israel as am not interested in that route. Those who used it last year were very secretive in telling others. I even said I won't reply anyone here this year because some people are plain wicked, they would only view to gather information and add to theirs but they would never reply you if you ask a question they know the answer. It later became all man for him/herself last year. So my dear, I am sorry but I won't reply you again. Follow any route you like and want. Hope you understand.

I understand...but that's the difference between average minds and great minds. In the end its how many people you've influenced. You cant change who you are...if you can help, go ahead and help...you will be rewarded. All those who covered book in secondary school, where are they now? Keep up the good work Mavinc cos I'm really learning from your post. I've not gotten the admission yet but at least I know what to do now. God bless you abundantly.

I am planning on applying for a master degree in criminology at KU LAUVEN in Belgium. After going through all the required documents,it's quite unfortunate that I won't be able to meet up with the deadline since the required documents and processing takes time to collate. Besides,Toefl is also required.

What will you advice I do in a situation like this?

I think you have answered yourself....my advice is that you choose your battles wisely. if your documents are not complete, dont bother applying. get your documents ready and prepare for next application. you can use this time to register for TOEFL or IELTS. Your complete application is the very first step. Thats the only part of the process thats within your control. So I believe you should make it as perfect as possible.

PS...If the school has an English waiver, then you have to get a letter from your school showing all your study was conducted in English.

Besides EACH, did any other programme require an applicant to write a qualifying test?

wow! its good to be here. I actually applied for two courses in Estonia. Excellence in Analytical Chemistry(under the Erasmus scheme) and Applied measurement science. I have written the moodle test for Analytical Chemistry. patiently waiting for admission results. This thread's been very informative.

Poland is affordable too but I am sure I won't pass the embassy if I go for the interview because I lack the financial capability when I was offered €24000 waiver last month. I don't want to join list of people that will give naija bad name. Fully funded is the only option regardless of the European country.

If you can risk it, just go.....some countries are affordable. Estonia is an affordable country.
