IDF SPOX: Hezbollah has over 150,000 rockets, meant to kill Israeli civilians, some are strategically placed beneath civilian populations. We have called on Lebanese civilians in specific buildings in the Dahiya neighborhood to move away from areas being used by Hezbollah. The IDF is defending Israel from Hezbollah. We are not in conflict with the people of Lebanon. |

There are some reports, still unconfirmed, that Abbas Nilforoushan, who has served as the IRGC deputy commander for operations and recently assumed the portfolio of the late Mohammad Reza Zahedi as commander of the IRGC-QF's Department 2000, was in the bunker with Hezbollah's Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah today as Israel carried out its airstrike (a former chief of IDF military intelligence is indicating as such). He's been sanctioned by the U.S. for human rights abuses, has considerable experience in Syria, and was a deputy commander of the IRGC's Ground Forces.

IDF: Over the past day, the IAF struck approximately 220 Hezbollah terrorist targets in Lebanon. Among the targets that were struck were terrorist infrastructure sites, launchers from which projectiles were fired toward Israeli territory, Hezbollah terrorists, and weapons storage facilities in Lebanon. The plan for a new 'Security Zone' in South Lebanon: The Cabinet has agreed that the IDF must return to the security zone in South Lebanon. This will be done in one of two ways: a political agreement or a ground operation that involves the seizure and occupation of territory in South Lebanon. Moreover, Israel no longer accepts UN Resolution 1701 as it is written and will demand changes.
