sonnie10: This is not true. If you check the dollar value now and when dollar was below 200 naira , you will notice that barely any improvement has been made When the dollar was 200 naira, people don’t invest in Nigeria stock like they do now. Thats the whole point. There’s confidence in the Nigerian companies because the economy is good and companies are making profit and because more people are buying their stocks and productivity in turn increased. As a matter of fact, the unification of the exchange rate is part of what bring about increase in investors confidence. These things are common sense. |

Watcharena: what was Russia meant to do when his own soldiers couldn't fire a single shot, did you see how those helicopters were flying low,you can bring them down with even rocket launcher and a simple anti aircraft gun. But they refuse to resist. Even Somalian Rebels did better. The country it self was meant to absorb the first shock.
Even the president is not a serious person, with all the blockade,he was still sleeping in his palace ,he refused to arm him self
The same thing happened to Assad his soldiers abandoned their positions they were not even fighting at all The same excuse you guys gave on behalf of Russia when Assad was brought down. Russia is weaker than they’ve ever been lately. The war in Ukraine really exposed them. |

OkpaNsukkaisBae: Anybody who knows history, can easily predict this stuff. Now, it has proven that Xi's China don't care, they only care about China. But Xi is making a strategic mistake by choosing isolation. At this stage, China cannot afford to stay neutral, you must pick a side and put in the resources & chest the casualties. The EU, NATO, New Zealand, Australia, Canada especially their European members are paying the ultimate price in Ukraine through funds, weapon shipment, intelligence sharing, military instructors.
It is likely that the Chinese told Maduro they can't help. Baba surrendered himself to the enemy, also possible that POTUS ego was hurt when he learnt about the visit from Beijing thus went on the offensive. The civilian visit sef na nonsense.. Dem don pass that stage. I was expecting China to sail their warship to the Carribean towards the Venezuelan coast showing massive solidarity to Maduro.
There's something I noticed, some countries can be very lucky by having a leader who's very competent on the domestic front, lifting people out of poverty, giving the nation a new face lift with massive modern infrastructures however the same leader can fail woefully on foreign policy decisions. Something which a country like China cannot afford to do at this point in time.
Now, I see why Russia is not taking any chances. Last year they conducted like four tactical nuclear exercise. Went on a massive production of nuclear bomb mobile shelters. You’re funny really. Expecting China to fight the USA on behalf of Venezuela has to be the funniest thing I read today. |

Now China is challenged. Russia is drawn in Ukrainian war. But if China let Venezuela and Iran fall China itself will be the next. And nobody will come to help. Which country out of all these clowns can help China in the first place? Is it Russia that’s entangled in the battle with Ukraine or Iran that’s still finding itself? It would be foolish for China to go into a direct flight or anyone behalf. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Russia-Ukraine War: World News, Weapons & Battlefield Discussions - Live by Rilwayne001: 10:35am On Jan 03 |
dermmy: You can't continue to sit idly while your own interests is being threatened. It's up to China. US military might is hinged on the fact that they can weaken others economically before they can even use military power. They have done so with Iran, and they are currently doing the same thing with Russia. They only need to sanction the country they want to mess us with and instruct their allies to do the same or threaten any country that does trade with such country they’re dealing with. China economy is different. They simply can’t do same for China. Even if they decide to sanction China, they can’t stop their allies from trading with China or threaten anyone from trading with them. Why, because China has grown tremendously that most countries depend directly or indirectly on them for survival. This is similar to how US has been able to make everyone rely on them. Should China go to any direct war at the moment, they’d have to be spending from their economy and eventually get distracted to the point that they’d lose the current growth and advantage they possess. US understands this which is why they have been baiting them. And I like XI, he’s not going to fall to their bait. I support China only Use military power when they’re directly confronted, otherwise they should continue to stay focused. |

Allthelight: I have said before the only real threat to U.S is china... Others are just noise makers I swear. The more reason why China should stay focused and not be distracted. Chinas focus threatens US more than the ones showing supposed military might. US can weaken others economically before coming at them militarily, for China, it is different. The more reason why China should continue to stay focused. |
