Lagos or Abuja
chomo17:
No. I meant TLS Contact Visa Appointment.

Please can you shed some light on the POF question?

Travel / Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by Rinthuspp: 2:25pm On May 06, 2022
Thank you. Maybe for Lagos. I went to the branch at Abuja and they told me to come but I have to come very early and if they do not have crowd they can attend to me.
KolaSteven:

Hi,
So I went today and apparently, walk-in appointments are not for first-timers (those without a previous UK, US or Schengen visa before).
But since I have a very strong reason to go and come back smiley, I stayed to argue with them.
They've suggested that I should come again on Monday before 8am and they'll consider it again, but usually no first-timers for walk-in.

Travel / Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by Rinthuspp: 11:40pm On May 04, 2022
The 200k is the one I spent at the consulate. Every doc for legalization has a price including the DOV.
AlanOguns:
okay, I have spent over 200k already too lol, I have done the legalization and translation, but I wanted to know how much the consulate will collect for their own legalization. Or won’t they collect money too? Or it’s just DOV they’ll collect money for ?
Travel / Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by Rinthuspp: 4:13am On May 04, 2022
Okay, thanks. I would like to have a feedback from you.
KolaSteven:

Hi,

I called their customer care line and the representative told me that I can come for a walk-in appointment.
I'm trying to gather all my application documents before going (and getting a no-objection letter from my school has been difficult due to the ongoing strike). I'd go tomorrow but there's holiday so I'd on Friday.

I am not a master's applicant. You need to submit all the documents you authenticated at MOE (which includes your waec certificate, bsc certificate and transcript) and then your birth certificate or attestation of birth and declaration of age. The idea is that all documents that will be leaving Nigeria must be authenticated at ministry of foreign affairs including affidavits. For the cost, I cannot categorically state but it is not expensive when you do it yourself without a 2nd party. For translation, go to the embassy website, there are recognized translators. Just send them a mail and the documents you want to translate then they give you the price. I used ASHA, they are very formal and they give you 2 weeks to collect your translated doc. It is also a soft copy so any mistake, you can correct it yourself without having to start from the beginning. You can send your scanned doc for translation while doing authentication simultaneously to save time.
Donblaize:
For Master's applicant, pls which documents will I need to authenticate at MoFA, how much does each document cost, and how much is the cost of translation of documents. Where can I do the translation. I await your kind response

Yes I have although I have a document that was rejected because of my name. Almost 200k,I used an agent for the legalization so it is not the standard price and probably I have more documents than you. When your educational documents has been legalised then they give you DOV, I paid 21k for that (note: included in the above stated amount). I have not gotten a proof of accommodation, I am yet to do that. Thanks.
AlanOguns:
wow you’ve legalized already at the consulate ? Please how much did it cost you ? And how did you get your Declaration of value? Also have you gotten proof of accommodation? I’m waiting for my documents to be sent back to me from abj so I can go to the consulate.
Travel / Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by Rinthuspp: 1:58pm On May 03, 2022
I submitted mine because it was the part of the document my school used in grading me for admission. The idea is just go with everything so that you will not be sent back.
haftob:

Pls is transcript one of the requirements for legalization to get DOV?
Attached is a screenshot of wat I saw on a file I got on their website.
Travel / Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by Rinthuspp: 1:55pm On May 03, 2022
Yes, I used by student copy and I got it from the embassy on Friday.
AlanOguns:
Hello, goodmorning. I want to reconfirm if a student original copy of the university transcript that has been authenticated is acceptable at the embassy for Italy visa since getting the official transcript is quite hard since the school won’t give you. I have already used the student transcript and I have translated and authenticated it because I was told that they’ll accept it, I just want to reconfirm. Thank you.

Is medical insurance and travel insurance different. I saw on the tls website that applicants need a medical insurance. What insurance agency can one use?
Travel / Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by Rinthuspp: 6:34pm On May 01, 2022
Okay, thank you. I will try that.

When did you book this appointment? Was there closer dates than the date you chose?
chomo17:
Wow! That makes it more complicated then. I have less than 2 months to visa appointment.

What do you advise?

And also how do you intend going about the accommodation thing?

Travel / Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by Rinthuspp: 9:36pm On Apr 30, 2022
Yes you have to get a confirmation from your school,
that is when they have verified the information you submitted and sent to the embassy you chose. You will then be allowed to print the form to be submitted at the consulate.
AlanOguns:
thank you. Am I to get a confirmation from the school first after filling the Universitaly form ? Or I should just print out the summary and go for legalization at lagos consulate?
Travel / Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by Rinthuspp: 9:28pm On Apr 30, 2022
Did you succeed with the walk-in- application as suggested.
Can any one go for the walk-in-application?
KolaSteven:

Thank you, Nancyama. I just did and turns out that the earliest date for my appointment would be the 26th of May. The conference starts on June 2 so that's way too close since I'd have to allow 15days for visa processing.
Is there anything I could do to fast-track the appointment date or something?
