tensazangetsu20: It depends on the school you get the masters from. If you want to get a masters degree, then you should look at the top 100 schools in your field. I even see people going for MBAs in no name schools. If you aren't able to get a masters from a top ranked school, you are better off using that money to learn a trade or go for professional courses. Don't waste your time, money and resources. y You re absolutely correct, d value of a masters degree is directly tied 2 d school it is gotten frm |

Dereformer: Who told you knowledge is not transferable? pls tell me whr a dying Professor was able 2 transfer his knowledge immediately 2 his son. But I ve seen whr a wealthy man transfer all his money immediately 2 his son. 4 a whole trunk of knowledge 2 b passed 2 sm1, it must involve sm rigorous processes & time. Let me go by dis analogy. 2 bcm a knowledgeable graduate in a particular field requires 4 yrs of studying. Y u can bcm wealthy in minutes. Ve u eva wondered Y. pursue knowledge and money will find u. |

Career › Re: A Case For MBA At Open University (NOUN) by Rios: 4:08pm On Jun 25, 2017 |
Not only in 9ja u ve certificate discrimination, presently Canada dnt accept any certificate frm Uniport. 2 b admitted into Canada schools u re expected 2 take English proficiency test if u schooled in 9ja but not applicable 2 those who schooled in Ghana and both countries teach with English. this is jst 2 mention a few.
My advice is if u ve sm constraints goin 2 an old generation federal Uni (UI, UNN, OAU) u can choose NOUN but if not please go 2 an old generation federal uni. MBA requires a lot of practical approach using real life cases. Having an MBA means that u should b able 2 diagnose an organization facing challenges and offering solutions(Consultant/Business Doctor) not as a paper 4 d aim of gaining promotion at place of work which I feel is v myopic.
In a nut shell, to ve d distinctive competencies that will mk u stand out from other MBA counterparts requires outstanding tutors which re mainly found in very few Uni presently in 9ja. |

NUC can't mandate organizations to accept d certificate moreover u wouldn't b present when de screen out ur certificate... I will advice u go 2 an old generation federal university. The quality of an MBA has a lot 2 do wit d school it is gotten from. I'm talkn frm experience |
Career › Re: Men Vs Women – Who Are Better Managers? by Rios: 2:16pm On Jun 22, 2017 |
Men make good manager as well as women. But men tend to have an edge over women when it comes to emotional intelligence which makes most women to be more of a reactive leader than a proactive leader. This is bcus most women/female managers re emotional which mk dem 2 reactive 2 situations, mkn subjective decisions in an organization. They allow their emotions 2 cloud their judgement. most male managers on d other hand re not as emotional as women which mk dem analyse situations in an organization b4 mkin decisions...
In summary: Most male managers are Proactive managers, while most female managers re Reactive managers. |
