Ikwokrikwo: Instead of tolerating one another, why don't we go our separate ways let everybody live his life the way he wants it? Oga, if we go seperate ways, it wont solve the problem, as we have northern christians, so we have southern muslims. Be informed that islam is fast growing in the south east. Go to Imo and enugu and see numbers of mosques being built daily.
We need to understand one another, if we do, it will go a long way in promoting peaceful co-existence |

BruncleZuma: Do you attend schooling on a Sunday...you know we don't use the same calendar as KSA and the other Islamic countries right? Is Nigeria a christian country? Why do we need to have holidays on sunday, why are we using the invention of a catholic pope called Calendar to conduct our own affairs? Why do we use christian parlance to name Heads of Govt Agencies Minister and departments as ministries? Why do we use church titles in our education sector? Rector, Vice Chancellor, Dean, Provost are all borrowed from christianity.
Just because of common Anjamin arabic on Naira, they screamed islamization, Just because Nigerian Army used Arabic in their logo, they screamed islamization. Are Nigerian Muslims not as equal as Nigerian Christians? Are we second class citizens?
We should learn to understand one another in order to live in peace. Enough of all these victimization of Muslims on Nairaland ( |

SmartMugu: Just a honest question about these herdsmen. I'm asking because I don't really understand their lifestyle.
Where do they sleep at night since they're always with their cows? Hotels? Where then do they keep the cows while asleep?
Do they have homes in various states -as it appears they walk all around the nation with their cows?
Do they just sleep anywhere the night meets them and their cows? What if it rains or they get attacked by animals or someone?
How come most of the herdsmen are from one particular ethnic group? Don't other ethnic groups breed and rear cows? If they do, do they walk around the country with cows too?
Why haven't we ever heard of Igbo/Kanuri/Ijaw/and so on/Yoruba/Kalabari/etc herdsmen before? Don't they have cows in their various areas?
Of all professions, why choose to walk around the nation with cows when horses, sheep, goats, and even cows in sane nations are raised in ranches?
Why would any parent even want his/her child to grow up just walking around with cows? Dont they expect them to have their own homes eventually?
I haven't been around the herdsmen before, I only see them when I see many cows controlled by one or two men holding sticks. I naturally assumed they're just trying to deliver the cows to a reseller or something. Finding out they actually walk with cows from states to states appears barbaric to me.
Some people really have some survival tactics beyond normal human comprehension, which applies in this case, but when it hurts or hinders others, the idea is worthless. I still don't know why anyone would want to walk all around with cows from states to states. I guess it's for exercise or just their passion for cows.
I bet these young men in these pix aren't the real owners of these many cows, they are rearing them for someone. Why then can't the owner of the cows get a piece of land for his cows? After all, he gets all the profit and only pays his workers whatever they agreed on. Why achieve that at other people's expense? Isn't that parasitism - where Mr A wants to take everything from Mr B and return nothing?
What are herdsmen looking for on other people's property with their cows without the property owners' permission? Are they brainwashed to think the entire nation belongs to the actual owners of the cows? Common sense applies here - you can't find anyone walking with cows on roads, schools, other people's farms, etc in any sane nation. Why did a governor decide to allocate hectares of land that doesn't directly belong to him to harbor privately owned cows? Should the owner of the cows be responsible for creating and replenishing his range for his cows - those are his property? Why tamper with other people's peace? Have u ever heard of Fulani Drug Baron before? |

Foreign Affairs › Saudi Arabia Hikes The Price Of Petrol By 128% by RisMas(op): 6:12am On Jan 14, 2018 |
Saudi Arabia has increased the price of petrol, as it looks to curb the rapid growth in domestic consumption of energy products in the kingdom.
Effective from January 1, the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources announced plans to increase the price of Octane 91 fuel from 0.75 riyals per litre to SR1.37 per litre (82% increase) and 95 Octane from 0.90 riyals per litre to SR2.04 per litre (up 126%). Diesel for transport remains unchanged.
The increased prices include VAT, which was also introduced across the kingdom on Monday.
The kingdom’s Ministry of Commerce and Investment said it will monitor fuel stations in all regions of the country to ensure that prices are applied, not manipulated, and that supplies are not interrupted. Saudi Aramco said it will provide its customers with detailed information on mechanisms of applying these prices.
As part of its budget announcement last month, Saudi Arabia said its economy contracted for the first time in eight years due to austerity measures as it announced record spending to stimulate growth.
Riyadh also posted a higher-than-expected budget deficit in 2017 and forecast another shortfall next year for the fifth year in a row due to the drop in oil revenues.
It unveiled plans to spend more than ever in 2018 in a bid to stimulate the sluggish economic, saying it expects GDP to grow by 2.7 percent.
The finance ministry estimated a deficit of $52 billion for 2018.
King Salman told the cabinet that Saudi Arabia expects to continue posting deficits through to 2023. http://www.arabianbusiness.com/culture-society/386730-saudi-arabia-hikes-the-price-of-petrol |

Timothy Ifeanyi Ikeji wrote: This was the burial of Fulani victims of violent killings in Taraba state in November 2017, Nobody shed tears for their wives, children, mothers, elderly ones among them wickedly slaughtered in their sleep, Nobody was disappointed in Mr Presidents slow response, Nobody wrote long Epistles, Nobody was disappointed in Nigeria, No nobody lamented at the insecurity of lives and properties of their fellow country men and women,Nobody threatened War, Nobody pointed accusing fingers,Nobody wailed ceaselessly. Till date Nobody asked for investigations to unravel the cold blooded killers,Nigerians check your Conscience, even the Devil is ashamed at the height of your HYPOCRISY. My take: I am not a fan of the herdsmen neither do I support their actions especially their readiness to kill at the slightest provocation. But we are all Nigerians and our lives matter. Lets be united. Stop politics for a moment and reflect on the way forward. No one should die carelessly and lets stand up against evil. Let's press on the government to be proactive and be seen as doing something serious about the many burning issues. Let's save lives. We are Nigerians. EternalBeing: Indeed, the perilous End Time has come. Wether they are cultists or the usual bigots that have wantonly been killing people all over Nigeria from the inception of this administration, the fact that the President has not said "pim" to condemn or bring the Fulani herdsmen to justice is encouraging the audacity of killers. If tribalism has not blinded the President, he would have brought them to book and that would have served as strong deterrent to other potential killers, the fear of him that spared not his own kin would have reset their brain. Uncurtailed Islamic blood shedding under Buhari has brought the value of life in Nigeria to all time low. Moslems in Nigeria have full backings and control of Arab Islamic Countries. We Christians need unity and backing from a Wester Christian Nation(s). Yet, some myopic Christians were happy at the secularization/islamization of the only western Nation managing to stay Christian. I don't know how a sane sensible Christian would not support Donald Trump. Trump is reversing all the satanic evil Bills signed into Law by satanic Obama, yet some eternally senseless Christians are against him. They say they love GOD and His Holy ways, yet senseless Christians during moslem Obama era continued to encouraged legalization and proliferation of societal evils, homosexuality, incest, bestiality, human sacrifices, peadophilia against their own Children that they are suppose to fight for and protect. During their tenures, Jonathan and Obasajo priortize Life and protected Christians from these evil people. With enough support, Trump can really help influence the next election so that Nigeria would have a Christian President. Any Christian that abuse Donald Trump deserves the painful horrible deaths that these satanic Moslems constantly plan for them. Bro, Is everything alright with you? Go and read the content again |

Bede2u: The $1 Billion is simply for 2019 elections.
Just like GEJ in 2015, Buhari is aware of his low rating and intends to spend a lot of money to launder his image in 2019.
Only a fool, a bigot and/or a very wicked person will vote to re-elect a 77 year old man who spent up to 12 months in hospital his first term....especially when no major milestone was recorded in that first term
If re-elected, Buhari would be 81 years in 2023. Do we hate ourselves so much in this country that we would elect a very old man to lead us into the future? Someone whose reference point is from a time before most of us were born?
Pls dont re-elect Buhari. Arent You a bigot too? |
