I'm glad to be of help. My husband had MB,BS plus two years experience then and YES he had to pay the equivalent of one month salary to BHP global after the had processed his visa and given him his flight tickets. Over the last five years, he has grown in his career which might have been difficult for him in Nigeria. Things got way better with our combined salaries and with his MRCP and my CELTA we can also both work in UK.
P.S: BHP Global services the Northern part of Nigeria while Onniver(not sure about the spelling) services Lagos I guess.

As for Jeddah, I will see what will happen next year. I am enjoying Hail, it is a bit ancient and strict, but its good for me for now. I prefer smaller cities and less busy areas.

ChineloSA, I know what you mean about ancient and less busy cities but I lived in one from 2011 till 2013 and I can tell you that it gets too boring at some point. For married people, you get too dependent on your husband which puts a huge strain on your marriage.In Jeddah, I could move around alone, I got ponmo and shaki at free will and I had a hairdresser who braids my hair.The freedom was exceptional.
All in all, I wish you all the blessings that Saudi has to offer.

Hi all,
I just saw this thread and I'll like to share my experience.
My husband got a job as a Doctor through one of these agents BHP Global to work with Saudi MOH in 2010 and I joined him in 2011. Being a lawyer, I couldn't work in Saudi coupled with the fact that I had my first child in 2012. I was frustrated and very lonely so in year 2013(and another baby on the way) I traveled to England to do the one month CELTA course ,I had my baby and I got a job offer immediately from a University in Jeddah with my Nigerian passport but as my husband's dependent. I was offered $3000 and I took it.
I completed my one year contract in May and my husband got a job in UK after completing his MRCP exams and we just moved to UK.
The moral of my story is that aside from money, Saudi has a lot of opportunities for Doctors because you get to meet doctors from all over the world who can advise for on your career paths.

Next time take a job in Jeddah, then you will enjoy Saudi Arabia.

I am trying to apply for student visitor visa on the new online UK visa application form, surprisingly, on the form where type of visa was asked; there were option for study and visit. I chose visit(hoping it is correct)

But when asked what kind of visit; there was no option for student! the options available were general, tourist, entertainer, sport, special, other( supposed this is for military personnel).

I am confuse. Can you help?

If I choose Study, the options available are tier 4 and non-tier 4( I feel this is not it)

Type of visa = Visit
Purpose = Special Visitor
Type of application = (Special) student visitor, up to 6 months.

@Justwise,i am planning to get a one bedroom flat also he can make arrangement for hotel reservation,the 1000pounds is for his expenditure in uk he still has some money in his account that he can fall back on.I have already paid my tuition fees and i have my maintenance money too.
So you are saying he can make a note stating that he is going to the UK as part of his holiday while u are going to study and not that he's escorting me?

@Justwise,I plan to get accommodation before my travel date,also he might not really have anywhere to visit because the only reason for his travel is to help me make arrangements/adjust to my new environment.Also, he has just 1000pounds to spend on the trip,minus accommodation and tickets,do you think this might pose a problem because he doesnt have up to 5000pounds.when they ask for his reason for travel on the form,is accompanying a spouse good reason.he has everyother documents i.e leave letter,letter of appointment,marriage certificate/pictures.what should he state has the purpose of his visit and what evidence of money does he have to show/for how long.

@jUSTWISE,thank u very much for your support.pls, i have another question,my husband is planning to take his one month annual leave so that he can escort me to the uk one month before the start of my course,what type of visa would you advise him to apply for(tourist,visitor or dependant)and what documents will he need to show.

@Justwise,pls there is another issue that i want clarity on,i am planning to get my student visa and then travel to saudi arabia, where my husband is currently working then travel to UK from there.My question is,do you think i might have a problem when entering uk,since i got my student visa from Nigeria but i travelled from saudi arabia.

1.Band Baaja Baarat(Ranveer Singh all the way)
2. No one killed Jessica(Vidya Balan was very deep)
3. Dhobi Ghat(kinda diff from the usual filmsbut awesome nonetheless)
4.patiala House(All about Akshay Kumar and Rishi Kapoor,they were both great)
Will definitely watch 7 khoon Maaf 2mao and see what Priyanka Is going to deliver

I guess the Company's bank statement and sponsorship letter plus tax payers certificate will do d trick.The whole thing is just confusing.

Financial sponsorship is money given to a student to cover some or all of their course fees or living costs. You can receive financial sponsorship from the UK government, your home government, the British Council or any international organisation, international company, university or independent school. If you have financial sponsorship, you can use this in your application as evidence that you have enough money to pay your course fees and living costs . If your financial sponsor is only covering some of your fees or costs, you must show that you have the rest of the money needed. Thanks

I thot d whole idea of the Company sponsoring me excludes me putting the money in my account e.g PTDF candidates don't give proof of fund for 28days in their,they get the visa with their sponsorship letter.

The Company paid half of my tuition so that I can get CAS and they will pay the remaining and the maintenance fees after I get visa.What do I do in this case

@Justwise, I checked the UKBA website and they only mentioned sponsorship letter and nothing about financial proof, pls, do u think the financial proof is mandatory? Thanks

Hello everyone,please i need advice on some issues regarding uk student visa application.I got admission for MBA studies in coventry starting in April and i have paid half of my tuition fees to the sch but i am planning to use the company i work with as my sponsor,the company is registered in New York and recently got registered in UK too.And the company is willing to pay the rest of my tuition as well as my maintenance fees.Please i will like to know if the company qualifies as an INTERNATIONAL COMPANY as started by UKBA under official financial sponsors definition.Thanks
