As a pregnant lady as long as they can verify you a landed immigrant, they wouldn’t deny you health care because you do not have you health card available. My dear Canada is not Nigeria they have all your information as long as you have your SIN. They can issue a temporary health card that’s not a big deal.

Yes she can get it on Sunday, they work 24 hours monday to Sunday.

I heard its difficult booking Doctors in Canada, how true is that? plus is it possible for me to book a Doctor/ make appointments while i am still in Nigeria. As long as you are a landed immigrant getting a doctor is not a problem at all but the only thing is that they would prefer having you around for a while so they can have proper monitoring of your progression.

You can obtain your SIN at the port of entry but note it might take some time and depending if you have a connecting flight, you may miss your flight. You can get your SIN anywhere and all kids irrespective of their age must have a SIN .
