ugonwoke:You won't be saying this when you read the last CTC of the appeal court judgment that you think that favoured Sim. 😂🤣😂🤣😂 |
The authentic Speaker, Rivers State House of Assembly. SinFoolbara will learn new things in politics, he was given a partial victory at the appeal court to drag him to supreme court for a better lesson and to quash his delaying tactics from appealing all the cases that favoured Rt. Hon. Martin Amaewhule and others at the supreme court. A special court of appeal was setup for Rivers State cases to quash his delaying tactics, so it can't help him any more. When you read the CTC of the last appeal court judgment, you will understand that it was all a setup to deal with at the supreme court. Rivers State politics is too deep to understand 😂🤣😂🤣😂😂

The Council deliberated on 4 petitions against Hon. Justice Peter O. Lifu of the Federal High Court, Abuja as follows: Petition by Mr Douglas W. Chukwu, the Secretary of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission against Hon. Justice Lifu was discountenanced, as the petitioner who had earlier indicated interest to participate in the hearing of his petition failed, neglected and refused to appear before the Committee. The Council also finds that the allegations of inducement to the tune of $1 Million, a bullet-proof car and gift of a plot of land to Hon. Justice Lifu by Chief Emeka Beke, Chairman, All Progressive Congress, (APC), Rivers State were not substantiated in any form. It was also found that the same parties who appeared before the High Court in Rivers State, also appeared before Hon. Justice Lifu at the Federal High Court in Abuja, but failed to disclose or bring to the notice of the Hon. Judge the existence of a sister case at Rivers State High Court. It was also found that the same parties who appeared before the High Court in Rivers State, also appeared before Hon. Justice Lifu at the Federal High Court in Abuja, but failed to disclose or bring to the notice of the Hon. Judge the existence of a sister case at Rivers State High Court. The Council noted that the acts of misconduct alleged were actually perpetuated by the petitioners who filed the case at the Rivers State High Court, after the case at the Federal High Court, Abuja had been instituted, suggesting forum shopping. Council finds that Hon. Justice Lifu neither exhibited personal interest in the matter nor misconducted himself in the procedure and noted that the complaints contained in the petition are now subject of appeal by the petitioners. Similarly, Council dismissed the two petitions by Abednego Oli Benjamin, Chairman, Boot Party, Rivers State Chapter against Hon. Justice Lifu, as it finds the allegations of bribery and other corrupt practices against the Subject Judge were unsubstantiated. It also finds that there is no proof of misconduct in the ex parte orders made by the Subject Judge. Council also noted that the ex parte orders are now the subject of appeals. On the petition by Dr. G. M. Giles-West Clark, Rivers State House of Assembly against Hon. Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court, Abuja Division, the Council finds that the petition was not supported with a verifying affidavit and was therefore, discountenanced. Source: NJC.

You're very correct here! Wike connived with Fubara to loot Rivers State treasury for eight years, go and see Fubara's house as a civil servant before as a Governor and you will wonder how come. Fubara was given a political solution to the problem by the President and he abandoned it through those that are benefitting from the crisis, saying isn't a constitutional solution. Now the court that has constitutional solution has spoken, present your State budget to the Assembly members or you can't have access the the state account until otherwise. And that is the LAW Fubara is playing SAINT to the public and when he's NOT! emmatex2020: |
Governor 'DONATUS' Fubara should obey the rule of law and stop operating on illegalities. He can't be running the budget of a state like Rivers with only three Assembly members. Even if the said 27 lawmakers defected to another party and have lost their seats, that part of the constitution is not self executory, he should go to the court with the jurisdiction and prove their defection, let him stop operating on illegalities and be seeking for public sympathy on his illegal spending on the State budget. The law is the law!!! Governor 'DONATUS' Fubara's illegal spending on the State budget: Royal House of Grace - N100 Million Omega Power Ministries - N200 Million Salvation Ministries - N1 Billion. Redeemed Christian Church - N100 Million All these donations are within two weeks, SO WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FUBARA and WIKE? 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Viewer's discretion is strongly advised. Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has expressed grief over the fire disaster on the East-West road that caused loss of lives and destroyed several vehicles on Friday night. Governor Fubara after inspection of the carnage that occured at Aleto, Eleme area near Ndorama noted that when he got information about the fire incident on Friday night he quickly dispatched the security agencies to step in, describing the situation as unfortunate and commiserated with those that lost their loved ones and vehicles as a result of the inferno. "In fact, I got the information through the MD of Indorama and I immediately alerted the security agencies to make sure that they step in. And from what we are seeing this morning, it wasn't a pleasant situation." "From what I am seeing, we recorded a huge number of vehicles destroyed and souls lost. But I have already asked the security agencies to give us a full brief so that we can assess the situation fully and see what we can do to support the families that are bereaved and how to cushion the effects of the losses which we believe is no fault of a good number of them." Gov. Fubara who was accompanied on the visit by the Commissioner for Energy, Hon. Uche Nwafor urged commuters on the East-West road to be cautious as the situation of the road calls for carefulness, adding that the disaster would have been avoidable if motorists also behaved properly. The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Friday, barred the Rivers State Government from withholding financial allocations of the 23 Local Government Areas, LGAs, in the state, pending the determination of a suit that was brought before it. The court, in the ruling that was delivered by Justice James Omotosho, further directed parties in the suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/537/2024, which was filed by LGA Chairmen in the state and nine others, to maintain status quo, pending the determination of the matter. More so, it stopped the Inspector General of Police IGP, Police Commissioner in Rivers, Director General, State Security Service, SSS and its Director, who were cited as defendants in the matter, from withdrawing the security personnel of the LG Chairmen, pending the final resolution of the their motion on notice. The ruling followed an ex-parte application the plaintiffs argued through their lawyer, Mr. Aliyu Hussein. Justice Omotosho held that the Rivers State Government should not frustrate or prevent the LG Chairmen from discharging their duties and rendering services to their respective councils till the determination of the suit. Specifically, the plaintiffs approached the court, praying it for an order of interim injunction to restrain the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, Chairman, Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Rivers State Government, Attorney General of Rivers and Commissioner for Finance, from witholding the revenue accrued to them. They also sought order of the court to restrain the IGP, Commissioner of Police in Rivers, the SSS, its Director, SSS in Rivers and the AGF, from withdrawing the security personnel attached to them. They equally prayed the court to prohibit the defendants from preventing the enforcement or implementation of the newly amended Rivers State Local Government Law N:5 of 2024 pending the determination of the motion. In a 33-paragraph affidavit in support of the application deposed to by Dr Chidi LLoyd, Chairman of Emohua Local Government, the Chairmen claimed to have been duly elected in a democratically conducted election for a term of three years under the provisions of the Rivers State Local Government Law. They asserted that they are autonomous and constitutionally recognized as one of the tiers of the government, adding that the Rivers State House of Assembly enacted Rivers State Amended Law to guide their affairs and activities. They claimed that Rivers State Government, AG and Finance Commissioner, who are not happy with the amended law, have approached the IGP, CP, DG SSS and Director SSS, seeking the withdrawal of policing and other security services from them in order to frustrate the implementation of the amended law. The Chairmen alleged that the Police Commissioner in the state who has the responsibility to advise IGP on the policing and security needs of Rivers State is under substantial control of Rivers State Government and would implement the directive of the state government. They averred that it would be impossible for them to carry out their respective functions and duties without the policing and security services of the IGP. Consequently, they prayed the court to restrain the defendants, especially the Rivers State Government, from taking the law into their hands. In his ruling, Justice Omotoso ordered all parties in the suit to maintain status quo pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice for interlocutory injunction. The Judge warned that no party should take any step that would make the motion on notice nugatory. “The plaintiffs are hereby ordered to serve the motion on notice seeking for interlocutory injunction on the defendants to enable them have the opportunity to respond to same. “That this matter is adjourned to 2nd day of May, 2024 for the hearing of the motion on notice,” the court held. Cited as plaintiffs in the matter, are: Dr Chidi Lloyd, Chairman, Emohua Local Government, Hon Alwell Ihunda Chairman, Port Harcourt local government, Dr Nwanosike Samuel, Ikwerre local government area, Barrister George Ariolu, Chairman, Obio-Akpor local government, Dr Obinna Anyawu, Chairman, Etchi local government area and Hon Chidorom Nwaiwu, Chairman, Omuma local government area. Others include: Dr Hope Ikiriko, Chairman, Ahoada West local government area, Barrister Benjamin Isreal Eke, Chairman, Ahoada East Local Government and Dr Roland Sekibo, Chairman, Akuku-Toru LGA. |
