Pls can anyone help me wit a few pointers, I also got invited for the screening excersise for civil defence, ofcos I would go I can't put all my eggs in one basket lessons from past. But sincerely given the choice of NIS and civil defence which would you go for and reasons why ? This question am throwing to the house for advice and clarity thanks for the expected help. Allah no go shame us.
Immigration and Civil Defense have same salary scale.

Immigration have more areas of operational responsibility. Which means Immigration have better and more juicy locations to serve than Cvil Defence.

In Immigration, staff can be posted in Nigeria mission overseas. I don't know what rank they post there but I am very certain that in all Nigerian Embassies overseas there must be an Immigration Attache', a deputy Attache' and some other few immigration staff to assist in passport application, passport renewal and visa application. There are more than 100 countries around the world where Nigeria is officially present.

Nigeria have about 80 official border crossing. With immigration staff fully present. Nigeria sea ports and airports are staffed with immigration personnel. Passport offices are present in all state capitals in Nigeria. I don't know which of the posting is more juicy. You can be lucky to serve in a good location though.

No, they will only be entitled to their FULL salary from the date of First appointment and will be paid arrears
During Shot Service Training for military they usually pay cadets N45,000 per month. After training their salary accumulated during training is paid in arrears.

Anyone who is familiar with NIS could clarify. The initial information I posted was a copy and paste from a Nairalander who had earlier posted. I remember I acknowledged the fact that I was only reposting what was earlier posted.

1. Sir, if you are not driving the car yourself then don't even think about giving the car to a driver.

2. If you still want to go ahead in giving your car to a driver then make sure you give on hire purchase.

Im saying these from experience. I gave my previa to a chairman of a park on hire purchase, he paid our agreed monthly remittance for two months , rest is story. After 6months i collected my previa and sold it.

Believe me these drivers can amke you cry. Please take note of number 1.

Did you summit your passport with your application ?
Do they sent decision mail before you get your passport back if passport is submitted?

No decision yet, Abuja centre
I recalled while I was attended to, the staff who was handling mine cautioned her fellow staff to desist from telling applicants 15 working days, rather she should tell them when decisions are made they will be notified
I read here on this thread, some people who did biometric in Lagos 15 September received collection email on Friday 02 October

@Giselle237

Today make 15 working days after my biometrics in Abuja. If I don't hear from them today, should I contact UKVI or should I wait for more days before contacting them? Please I need your advice. Thanks.

Please Update Us When You Pick Up Your Passport

mosesolawuyi:
Hello everyone!
I just want to find out if DMC now sends refusal emails to every unsuccessful applicant or just some handpicked ones. My friend received a refusal email from DMC last week and then an email from TSL asking him to come to collect his passport. But, this afternoon, I only received a mail from TSL informing me that my passport is ready for collection (I didn't receive a refusal email prior to that). Does this indicate a success?
BIOMETRICS DATE: 15 SEPT
VISA TYPE: VISIT
