[quote author=Msticks post=121903529]Hi Approval has not expired. Her approval was given 1st of march, in my presence. The guy from ABH approved instantly when i submitted my docs, and few hours later, she was asked to submit passport in Nigeria. Tracking shows that the package was successfully delivered, and return envelope tracking is not active yet, meaning the have not sent it. We have sent mails, no response. And when you call, the lady that answers call for the embassy is the rudest person in the whole world. I am also sure her return address is correct. Hello, has your wife gotten her passport now? Did she change her passport after her interview? Like submitting a new passport that has your last name instead of her maiden name? Do you live in the North? I know of someone who submitted a new passport that now has her husband’s last name instead of the one she used in applying earlier, and this caused a delay. I also know of someone that lives in the north and didn’t get her passport returned early enough. I submitted my passport few days after your wife and I got it back in less than five days. Please check that all balances on you end, then send an appealing email to them. One thing I have learnt is to always try to appeal instead of demand, feed their ego and you will get all the information you require. All the best. |
Oby94:Going by some few people’s testimonies and timelines, I think it is possible. Some people just get the email requesting for travel date and passport. |
Justcul:Thank you so much. We got married after he left for Germany. I will just wait for an update from them. Fingers crossed! |
Hello everyone, please do we have anyone who didn’t pay for verification fee because your spouse has a permanent resident permit? I have gone through this trend and I can’t find anyone in my shoes. All i I see is the blue card category. My spouse was once on blue card, but now on PR. During my interview, I was asked not to pay verification fee, Infact I went back the next day with the money, I managed to enter with the disguise that I wanted to pay and they again verified and said, I don’t have to pay. I just want to know if there is anyone here who had the same experience. It will really break my heart to be called back to make payment, because this would amount to starting the waiting period afresh. Response would be highly appreciated. Thank you |
chidi4eze:Well, it depends on your application category. Get to the embassy before 5:30 so you can be amongst the first set, for family reunion it takes more time. I got to the embassy by 5:30, I was number 6 on the line, number 2 for family reunion and I left the embassy around 1:30pm. I hope this helps with your plans. |
[quote author=Afrigoodexpress post=116899995]Mine is under Blue card category for family reunion visa. My interview was on 30-Jun-2022 and I got email on 15-Sep-2022 to provide additional docs. You will get reply within 3 months. Please what other documents were you asked to provide? I also didn’t pay for verification. |
Blessings777:Hello, I also didn’t pay for lawyer verification, although my husband has a permanent resident permit and he is gainfully employed. I had my interview on Wednesday. Please what additional documents were you asked to submit? Is the time frame also 6-7months? I just want to know how to prepare my mind mentally for this waiting period. Thank you. |

Or are there cases where it's exceptional (i.e instead of verification complete email, an email requesting travel date and passport will be sent)
