Due to the high level of 'advanced' cheating in the University entrance examination, Chinese Officials have introduced extreme steps in curbing the act.
Extreme?..yeah! they've resorted to using drones to invigilate in an exam hall, as students there have gotten so advanced in their ways that everything from their glasses, pen, up to their shoes has been 'technologically modified'.
Well not so extreme as the drones don't have firearms installed but they are able to detect suspicious radio signals from an height of about 1,600 feets and they can rotate up to 360 degrees to scan. The location of these signals, arising from mobile phones, electric pen, computer glasses and even earphones is then sent to the main operators so that they can pinpoint who is cheating and where. This anti-cheating drone has been used to arrest 9 suspects in the past year and their are legal penalties for those convicted of
examination mal-practices in China.
Me thinks this new development will reduce the rate of cheating...at least for now...not until students start using Jamming devices to intercept the signals transmitted by the drone. You know students are so smart and they will do anything to get what they want and these drones will make them work harder both in studying for exams and also in devising better methods for cheating.
