*THE JOURNEY IS SO SHORT*

A young lady sat in public transport: an old grumpy lady came and sat by her as she bumped into her with her numerous bags. The other neighbor got upset, asking the young lady why she did not protest and insist on her rights: she responded with a smile: “It is not necessary to be rude or argue over something so insignificant!’ I’ll alight at the next stop, replied the young lady”.

Here’s a response which deserves to be written in golden letters in our daily behaviour and everywhere:
*It is not necessary to argue over something so insignificant, our journey together is so short*

This touched my heart and set me thinking.

If everyone would realize that our passage down here has such a short duration and; to darken it with quarrels, futile arguments, unforgiveness, ungratefulness and bad attitudes would be a waste of time and energy.

Did someone break your heart? Be calm, the journey is so short!!

Did someone betray, bully, cheat or humiliate you? Be calm, forgive, the journey is so short!!

Whatever penalty anyone serves us, let’s remember that the journey together is so short…

Let us therefore be filled with gratitude and sweetness. Sweetness is a virtue never likened to bad character nor cowardice, but better likened to greatness.

Our journey together down here is really short and cannot be reversed…
No one knows the duration of his/her journey!!

Even Methuselah, the longest lived man got to his bus stop and alighted from bus

Two years ago, a well known Minister of God, Dr Myles Munroe and his wife Ruth Munroe, together with Pastor Richard Pinder, Pastors Lavard and Rudel Parks and their two children took off from Bahamas going for a crusade; none of them got to the crusade ground. They all got to their last bus stops and all alighted with a plane crash.

As we wake up to see each day light, millions of people: young, old, mid-age somehow get to their respective bus stops and must alight. We all pray to live long. And I pray for you reading this post; that you shall live long and fulfill God’s purpose for you on earth in Jesus name.
But REMEMBER, the journey is so short.

No one knows when they will get to their last bus stop where they will have to alight !! Meditate on this my brethren. The journey is so short. 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, or 150 years all start with one day. You surely know how many years you have spent, but do you know how many more you have to spend? 1, 5, 10, 15, 20 or 99 year(s), months, weeks or days, hours, minutes or seconds. The journey is so short.

*Therefore, cherish and hold on to friends, family and the people around you! Be calm, be respectful, be kind, and be thankful. Love God; hold no offence.!! Be forgiving!!!

No matter what anyone has done to hurt you, always remember that: “it is so insignificant.” Be quick to forgive. Hold no grudge; the journey is so short.

Never forget that however long we pray to live for; the journey down here is so so short!!

The young lady in the above picture was allegedly strangled by her boyfriend while in a scuffle with him.
This information was shared via a facebook user’s account, May Ebute, who told the story in brief alleged that the victim was killed on Saturday night and by Sunday morning, neighbours woke up to see the corpse of the lady while her boyfriend was at large.
The suspect is said to have been picked by the police yesterday 4th Dec 2016 and is cooling off in their net.

A pastor and wife met their untimely death after been shot by arm robbers along Gawa area of Benue State. According to Idoma Voice, the pastor and his wife stopped to purchase foodstuff before they were suddenly gunned down by the men of the underworld.
An eye witness while narrating what happened in the event said;

“I stopped at Gawa at about 8:14 this morning to buy some foodstuffs on my way to Bali to buy yams when some young men walked to men saying its better to get the yams in the evening when the market is closing.

Little did I know I was the target. Pushing me to hit the road so they can waste me… Oh God.. The pastor arrived shortly with a Toyota picnic. They bought yams I even helped to negotiate with the seller. We took off the same time before I stopped to excrete. Just seconds we heard gun shots and that was how they wasted this couple.”

Four handsome young men also referred to as the aluu 4 were lynched on Oct. 5th 2012 based on allegation that they were thieves.

The victims were Ugonna Obuzor, Toku Lloyd, Chiadika Biringa, and Tekena Elkanah, all students of the University of Port Harcourt, River State.

As we remember them today, we encourage everybody to bear in mind that the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria stipulates that a man cannot be seen as guilty until a competent court of law declares him so, hence jungle justice is a crime against the law and human dignity. #IStandAgainstJungleJustice

Point of correction, Obudu Ranch Resort is not in Calabar. It is in Obanliku LGA, formerly part of Obudu LGA, Corss River State.
Calabar is about 4 hours drive from that resort.

A 37-year-old foreign national is facing abduction and rape charges for allegedly turning a 12year old girl into his sex slave in Pretoria, South Africa.

According to Sunnyside Police spokesperson, Captain Daniel Mavimbela, the Grade 7 learner was reported missing from her home in Mamelodi in early September.
“According to reports, the girl left home to meet with friends at a recreational park just outside Silverton,” said Mavimbela. “Instead she came across an unknown girl, who subsequently led her to a flat in Sunnyside, east of Pretoria, where both of them were to spend the night together.”

One Ms Uduak was arrested and charged to Calabar Magistrates Court on Monday, November 28th for allegedly pouring boiling water on the face of 10-year-old houseboy, Daniel Okon Nse in an attempt to wake him up from sleep.
It was gathered that on Thursday, November 24th, at about 5:30AM, the 29-year-old suspect poured boiling water on Nse, causing severe burns and injuries on the child’s face and arm. Mr. Emmanuel Agan who is a neighbour to the accused, noticed the grave injuries on the child on Friday 25th November, 2016 and immediately reported to Basic Rights Counsel Initiative, a front line child rights organization in Calabar.

The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Peter Fayose is confident that the People Democratic Party, PDP will retain the governorship seat in the coming Ekiti 2018 election.

The plane which carried Brazil players from the country had fatal accidents. They were 72 passengers and 9 crew members on-board.
CNN reports that so far 5 people have been reported rescued alive and taken to the hospital while 76 were said to have died.

Luck ran out of four suspected fraud stars last week when they were arrested by the operatives of Rapid Response Squard in Lagos for reportedly duping ignorant residence of various amount of monies .
The suspects, Kenneth Umukoro, 36; Uba Utokcha, 41; Joseph Onuoha, 40 and Ikechukwu Okeke, 25, individually owned up to the crime when interrogated at RRS headquarters after been picked at different places and during separate times between Tuesday and Thursday last week.
