US bombing of Afghan arm of ISIS is no longer news, perhaps what is news now is that Americans are reacting over the act.

When Donald Trump, the current United States president was coming in, he promised America he was going to give terrorist a good fight.

The family capacity bomb also known as Massive Ordnance Air Blast bomb or referred to as Mother of all bombs(MOAB) dropped in Afghanistan in a bid to dislodge ISIS in the tunnel by the US army was the largest non-nuclear bomb ever used in a war by the United States of America., AP reports.
Shortly after the attack, report said 36 ISIS victims were recorded. However, at the moment, AP reports that the casualty figure has risen to 94.

Meanwhile, since the spot is a tunnel, there is the likelihood that many of the victims were buried by the devastating impact of the bomb, analysts said.

It is no longer news that in certain part of Nigeria right now, anytime any day the herdsmen can walk comfortably into any community, kill ,maim, kidnap, rob and even rape in a relaxed manner then leave anytime they feel satisfied with intervention form the security agencies.

The most recent was the attack in Zaki Biam a town in Benue state where over 50 people were said to have lost their lives with more than one hundred injured. I saw gory pictures of the victims and i was like what is really happening in this country.

@op, i think you got a lot of things wrong here. For example, tech niche is too broad. some blog on network, some on web, some on domain , some on devices and so on. Most long tail keywords associated are bombs when clicked.

e.g are you aware that a keyword like "wireless technology in business" can give you as high as 191.55$ per click?
just multiply that by only 500 clicks per month and tell us how much.

The problem most bloggers have is the do not understand that blogging is about proper research. Some will just jump and begin to write articles without adequate investigation of the various rudimentary requirements for a quality content.

Writing a nice articles is not the only thing needed. More is required.

I don't know the revenue model you have in mind. But here is the thing no one else would tell you.

A lot of bloggers want to earn by leveraging on adsense simply because they hear Linda...Naij....Vanguard....Stella...etc cash out big on adsense. The truth is....if you are starting out or intend to blog so adsense could make you a living - then you will be disappointed.

Those pretty banners won't be clicked by robots. And for the rational audience, they seek out specific content and not online frivolity. From research and experience, the best way to get those things clicked in usually by spoofing your audience the way Naijaloaded does - which is pretty annoying by the way. Spoofing here entails masking your original content with an adsense element. A typical example is when you jump on a webpage to view Mahida's nak3d video and you click the youtube play icon just to be redirected to sites like onclickads.....etc. It's an easy way to lose your users dear.

Now here is what I think you need to capitalise on. You could stick with WP. I personally love it by the way cos its way flexible - tho might be a little expensive. Engage a telemarketer for an authentic database of the target audience your content might appeal to. Spend some money promoting your contents to these people for some time to get a retainership - say 3months. Check the progress of your site's traffic rating using siteworth or similarweb. Then scout the net or other online media platforms for persistent advertisers and pitch your platform to them.

Believe it or not. Since you weren't lucky enough to be among the early adopters of online media portals such as Nairaland etc - who started out early. This is your only way out for now.

You will grow with time and more people will get to know your platform for its style and uniqueness. You might even end up not needing Google adsense if you handle this properly cos I could personally confirm a few unpopular sites that make over 150k monthly from sponsored publications.

Cover letters seriously improve your chances of been taken.

But there are some other category of people in the company who should read the cover letters. And you can facilitate their reading it by doing the following 5 things:
1. Don't apply online but email your resume to a recruiter or hiring manager instead.
2. Don't make it an actual "letter." Instead, make it the body of the email with your resume attached. When people attach a letter AND a resume to an email, let me just say only one attachment is getting opened, and it's always the resume. So don't even bother.
