TravelRe: Main Reasons Many Are Refused Visas by rochf10: 6:10pm On Aug 01, 2015
Thanks again @Vicjustice. No double face here. I just thought I would make a profile for my schengen queries and another for my UK questions.
TravelRe: Main Reasons Many Are Refused Visas by rochf10: 12:06pm On Aug 01, 2015
Thank you @Vicjustice as always for your practical advice. In lieu of our UK reapplication, do I still need to submit my savings account statement (with the unexplained deposit?)? Or will my salary/current account do? Also, my friend only has 750k (in naira) in her current account for our planned 7-day trip. Is this enough?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by rochf10: 2:59pm On May 25, 2015
justwise:
How did the money become available in last 3 months and enough for the trip? What is your salary range?
@justwise Hello there. My monthly salary is about 362k and will have a closing balance of about 1M. Should I still submit my savings account, which has the unexplained deposit? I have my salary certificate and approved leave form as worry357 suggested.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by rochf10: 2:18pm On May 20, 2015
Thank you worry357 and vicjustice for the honest reply. My first reason of refusal was submitting only my salary account with 0 balance as I thought they were only concern that salary was coming in. I did not submit my savings account then. In my second refusal, they found an unexplained deposit in my savings account (which was an honest mistake). I will try to negate this factor by submitting only my salary account this time. My question is, should I explain to the German embassy the reasons for my refusal to the UK? Will it help or will it sound desperate? Many thanks!

@vicjustice, justwise and the rest of the gurus. My friend and I have decided to forego reapplying for a UK visa and just apply for a Schengen visa via the German embassy. Would our 2 refusals to the UK affect our chances from getting a Schengen visa? My conditions when applying are the following (1) 6 months Salary account with a closing balance of 1M (2) 5 month savings account with a closing balance of another 1M (3) good travel history (been to several countries i.e. Maldives, Morroco, UAE, Thailand) (4) main reason to go is to attend the Oktoberfest in Munich (5) will obtain salary certificate, approved leave form and other documents from employer. Do you think we stand a good chance to be given a Schengen visa albeit the UK refusals? Thanks in advance!

Hello gurus. Would appreciate your input on this before I go thru another application. I have decided to reapply for a visit visa this September. Will it be wise if I just submit my salary account statement with enough funds in the last 4 months when in my prior application, I submitted both my salary and savings account? I just dont want the unexplained deposit in my savings account to come up again. Appreciate all your help.

Hello again. Just to revisit my question, in my reapplication for a visit visa (after 5 months), is it wise to just submit my salary account statement with a closing balance of about 1M+ when in my prior application, I submitted both my salary (0 balance) and savings account (with 1.5M balance but with an unexplained deposit)? My plan is to only submit my salary account as it has sufficient funds for the last 4 months. Appreciate all your help.

Hello there. My monthly salary is about 362k and I am planning to leave about 258k x the last 4 months (instead of transferring it to my savings account as before). I will still provide my savings account statement but only for the last 3 months just to substantiate that I have other funds available (available balance about 1M). Will this create a problem as I do not want the unexplained deposit in my savings account to come up again. Many thanks!

Hello again gurus. In my reapplication, is it okay if I submit a 6-month bank statement of my salary account with the normal incomings and outgoings of our salary, but with available balances only in the last 3 months (with still sufficient fund of 3-month worth of salaries and then submit as a supporting document my savings account (but only for the last 3 months)? Or will it appear suspicious as my reason of refusal is unexplained deposit in my savings account. I just want to cover all bases and leave no room for the ECO to again deny my application. I am paranoid that he would not accept my explanation (which is if course the truth) of the unaccounted deposit? Thanks in advance for your input

I see, but my friend still has sufficient fund even without the loan just so happened that it was approved early and she had to deposit half of it in her account one month before we applied. Thanks

Hello again. This is really a helpful forum. My question is, does the UK embassy consider personal bank loans as proof of fund? It is clear from the bank statement that said loan was approved ans deposited to my friend's current account. Partial amount was then transferred to her savings account. The initial deduction in March is also clear from the statement. Thanks
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by rochf10: 3:42pm On May 02, 2015
Thanks justwise for the input. One last question though, in your opinion, should I go with the immediate reapplication? Or is it better to wait another 6 months? But then again my friends are leaving mid July. Do I still need to submit signed letter from my friend?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by rochf10: 12:45pm On May 02, 2015
Yes I did. I withdrew the amount last December and loaned it to my friend with a verbal agreement that she would return said amount once her personal bank loan was approved. She received her loan thru bank last March and thus, I deposited said cash amount in my savings account. It is clear from my friend's statement that she received her loan and only deposited half to her own account as the rest was as payment to me. How do we clearly explain this to the ECO? Many thanks.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by rochf10: 7:34am On May 02, 2015
Thank you for your reply. We wanted to apply immediately to refute the ECO's claim that money lodged was invalid and also for the resason that even without the lump sum, I would still have sufficient funds. Will my friend's letter be proof enough? Also, because we are a group of 10 and the other 8 have all received their visas and we are supposed to leave this July. Thanks again!
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by rochf10: 8:39pm On May 01, 2015
Hello there. We were just refused entry to the UK due to an explained lump sum amount deposited one month prior to application. We want to immediately reapply with the explanation that said amount was through cash paid by a friend who borrowed money from me (this is true by the way). She is willing to sign a letter certifying such. Should this suffice and be accepted the EVO. Would highly appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks
