The woman identified as Mama Joy who runs a
restaurant close to police dog section in Apapa was
found dead in the hotel situated along Randle Road,
Apapa.
The management of the hotel was said to have
alerted the divisional police officer of Apapa police
station, SP Rotimi Odutona, and he swiftly sent a
team of policemen to the
scene. LEADERSHIP gathered that the hotel staff had
waited for the guest (s) in the room to check out
after their time had expired but to no avail.

Odunlade wondered why both Kemi Afolabi and She Baby would be making such allegations with his name online when he has never slept with them and said he can't have anything with a married lady.

Speaking with Saturday Beats on the matter, an angry Odunlade said he might decide to sue the actresses for putting his name in the mud, asking them to keep him out of their cheap attention seeking game.

We all eat more than we should of the wrong kind of stuff now and then. Think of your weight as something that (once you've reached a healthy weight) can go up and down to some extent.

Have a 'sliding scale' in your mind of a couple of pounds either side your target weight. Everyone's weight fluctuates a bit and you should prepare for this. No one can live for long under a self imposed too harsh dictatorship. The whole idea is to enjoy the journey because it's the journey of a lifetime. Change what 'treats' mean to you.
Like I always say it's a mind game: all our lives we have been brainwashed; from childhood it's drummed into us that "treats" consist of fatty, sugary empty calorific stodge.
So what happens next? We start eating healthily and suddenly we have no treats. We feel deprived.

Of course a treat is whatever you decide it is. Is it really a treat to clog arteries, add unsightly fat, feel bad about yourself, risk diabetes and heart disease? Then out of guilt go on a binge?
Write down five treats that don't involve enhancing fat or sugar. Whether the treat is calling a friend, going for a walk, or even having a cup of special tea or coffee, we can all reward and comfort ourselves. It's how we do it that counts. Weight loss is not a cure-all
Don't expect weight loss to cure all of life's problems. Sure you'll be healthier, fitter and so on, and that will have positive and maybe unexpected positive ripple effects but, as a slimmer person, you'll still have a bad day in the office, moments of self doubt, times when you feel undervalued.
Believe it or not, many people feel let down when they become slimmer and then find that being slim doesn't solve all their problems in one go (i discovered that the hard way and it was a painful reality) to be continued.

The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party has alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission is now under the firm control of the All Progressives Congress.

It cited the piecemeal release of results of the March 19 rerun election in Rivers State by the commission, which it alleged was done to satisfy the ruling party, as an example.

The Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus, made this allegation in an interview with reporters in Abuja on Wednesday.

He alleged that the electoral body was taking instructions from the ruling party on what to do with the outcome of the Rivers rerun which he claimed his party won convincingly.


Before the suspension of announcement of the results, the commission had released the results in nine state constituencies and one federal constituency.

But in the results made available on Tuesday in Port Harcourt and signed by the State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Aniedi Ikoiwak, the PDP maintained its lead by winning three federal constituencies while it shared two state constituency seats with its main rival, the APC.

Secondus, who also appraised the conduct of elections by INEC since the assumption of office by the Chairman of the commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, expressed concern that all the elections conducted by the electoral body since then were inconclusive.

He cited the Kogi, Bayelsa and the recent Rivers states’ rerun elections as examples.

Secondus said, “Now in Rivers, because the PDP won all the elections despite the intimidation by the military, the results are being released piecemeal because the APC has failed woefully in all the constituencies.

“It is apparent that the commission has become a department in the APC. The commission is being controlled by the APC. The commission has lost its independence and we have empirical evidence on this.”

Secondus further alleged that the commission had yet to fix a date for fresh election in the state in the areas that were cancelled because it “was waiting for instruction from the APC.”

The Mapo Customary Court dissolved the union between Sikiru Alabi and his wife, Basira, on the grounds of prostitution and adultery.

The husband had told the court: "Nemesis caught up with her recently when I met a man on her deeply engaged in s*xual intercourse right in my house. I was mad, but Basira quickly pleaded with me, promising not to do it again.

"Though, I forgave her, but she is still neck deep in adultery."

According to NAN, Mr Alabi, an automobile mechanic in the metropolis had approached the court, seeking an end to his marriage to Basira, a hairdresser at Idi Arere area of Ibadan.

Alabi said Basira was also engaged in prostitution and had continued to rain curses on him and his relatives.

Basira did not deny the allegations, she said: "It is true that there is no more love between I and Alabi."

Basira pleaded with the court to grant her the custody of the child after dissolving the marriage.

But the judge ruled that: "It is in view of the circumstances surrounding the issue at hand that the court decided to put an end to the relationship between Alabi and Basira.

"Alabi shall take custody of the five and a half year-old child produced by the union, while Basira should be free to see the child in court anytime she wants."

The President of the court, Ademola Odunade, stated that a cheating wife is a "deadly" person.

A day after two army officers were killed in Abonema community in Rivers state, an official of the Department of State Services (DSS) has also been killed. He was killed during an attack on security personnel in Omoku, Ogba/Ndoni/Egbema LGA of Rivers state yesterday March 18th.‎

Confirming the incident, the assistant director of army public relations of 2nd brigade, Port Harcourt, Eli Lazarus said;


"A joint security team consisting of the army, police and DSS while conducting patrol today at Egi in Omoku community of Ogba/Ndoni/Egbema Local Government Area of Rivers State were attacked by unknown gunmen,” he said in a statement.
The criminals engaged the security team for several hours before they were eventually dislodged. Sadly, a security agent lost his life in the unfortunate incident.

Reinforcement has been sent to beef up security in the area and normalcy has been restored. Omoku community is the same community were an APC leader, Franklin Obi was beheaded and his wife and son killed two weeks ago.

There was tension at the branch of Stanbic IBTC Bank at Abesan Gate, Ipaja, Lagos, on Thursday, as fire razed the building and destroyed properties worth millions of naira.



No life was lost in the incident, as the bank’s staff managed to escape unhurt.

One of the police officers attached to the building told NAN ‎that the fire started around 3:30pm.

The officer said the inferno started from a tanker discharging diesel into the bank’s generator plant.

He explained that a hose was attached from the tanker to the generator but suddenly a loud sound was heard from the truck where the product was being discharged.

The trial of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, before the Code of Conduct Tribunal on 13 counts of alleged false assets declaration resumes today (Friday).

The Supreme Court, in a judgment on February 5, 2016, paved the way for trial to begin after dismissing the Saraki’s objection to the validity of the charges and the jurisdiction of the CCT to hear the case.

The Danladi Umar-led CCT subsequently fixed March 11 for the commencement of trial.

Already, the Federal Government has lined up 13 prosecution witnesses to testify against Saraki.
