It's my birthday today Nov 14th and what a perfect day to share my timeline:

Sponsor eligibility letter (AOR): Jan 10, 2024
Biometric completed: Jan 11, 2024
Medical request: Apr 19, 2024
Medical completed: Apr 22, 2024

Pre arrival and COPR on tracker: Oct 22, 2024
PPR Email: Nov 4, 2024
Passport sent to Kenya: Nov 5, 2024
Passport ready for collection: Nov 14, 2024 🥳🥳🥳

It took approx 1 year from application submission to Finalization. Wishing everyone else waiting a speedy response. 🙏

Yeah ur spouse can use their own bank account as POF for you. But your spouse will have to include a detailed letter of financial support explaining they'll be responsible for all your travel expenses.

Since your spouse will be using their own account as POF then you must show strong ties to Nigeria otherwise there's a high chance it will be refused cos the visa officer believes you won't go back since you already have PR application in progress.

In my case I used my account as POF for my spouse but we didn't show strong ties to Nigeria. So it was refused.

I submitted TRV application 1 month after the spousal application but the TRV was refused. But I've seen on the nairaland canada visit visa thread of people who had an ongoing spousal application and were granted TRV. So it just depends.

Hi. I guess u might have heard of flagpoling. That's one way people already in Canada on TRV can validate their PR status while in Canada. But the other way is to book an appointment with IRCC. If you check the CBSA website, they encourage the appointment method rather than flagpoling. So, please check the CBSA website and see how you can book an appointment in a location closer to you so you can validate ur PR status.

Hi guys thank you for the replies, it was very helpful, but I need help concerning my main issue, which is that I got my ppr on the 6th of August, but I already arrived canada 3rd july on TRV, and I sent webform to change address, no reply. Accra VO, after ppr I sent web forms no reply for virtual landing. Called Ircc they only helped update my address in September till now nothing, reached out to out mp still nothing, what is your advice

I saw another one on 4th, 7th, 8th nd 16th of October

That's interesting.. I thought eligibility is the last step in the process cos once eligibility is completed it means a decision has been made on the application. Sounds like ull receive a response from them very soon.
Has the COPR details appeared on your tracker yet? When did you apply please?

In the request letter they always indicate the number of days that you MUST submit the passport. Since you have passed the days which I believe its 30days then it's best you submit a webform and also send an email to the visa office explaining your situation.

I saw a ghost update on my tracker last week on Oct 7th. But I felt the ghost update could be because someone accessed the file to get the gcms note lol. I might be worng tho.

Application submitted November 12, 2023. The gcms note I got shows Accra as the Secondary office & Bucharest as the primary visa office.
Seems most November applicants are still in the waiting list lol even though we have passed the 10months processing time.

Please, I would like to ask where your visa office (VO) is and when you applied. I'm in the same situation as you. I applied on November 8, 2023, and my VO is now in Bucharest, after having my application for months in Accra. Thank u

Also got my gcms note today. Nothing major. Info sharing complete, Criminality in progress, Security not yet started, eligibility not yet started.

They’re sticking to the 10months processing time for most applications. The reason why mine took this long is because of the secondary review.

Yeah I've bn checking my tracker. Last update was Medical passed since April 30th. Eligibility not yet started. Background check in progress.

Congratulations! Please wat was the reason for the initial denial? I also submitted spousal application in Nov 2023 and visit visa in Dec 2023.

The visit visa was denied in July 2024. But I didn't reapply for visit visa. Still waiting for PPR for the spousal application and thinking of reapplying for visit visa in the meantime.

Reapplied for visitor visa same day with spousal AOR, sponsor account statement and LOE.

Hello, why not submit a web form? I believe that’s the way you can bring this to their attention.
