Interesting. Reason I said there is no hard and fast rule. You got your AOR quite early unlike most people that it took about 2-3 months to get AOR. Best you can do for now is to keep sending web forms and probably email to Accra. sade1994: I submitted February 7th and I got AOR February 23rd. And since then, it's been total silence. Tracker is just showing eligibility in progress since March 13th. |

So you haven’t gotten medical request yet? The pattern is most people get medical request around 5 months after the application was submitted. But there is no hard and fast rule to this thing. When did you submit ur application? Also, maybe you could check your application status tracker to see if they received the additional information you provided in the web form. sade1994: Hello all!! Since February 23rd that I got AOR on my application, till today, no single update or advancement. I even created a web form to include my new born son sometime in June, no response. Please do you think this is normal. Anyone please? |

Wow congratulations. Was just in the process of sending my MP an email before seeing this. Also applied for a visit visa for my spouse but it's passed the normal processing time and haven't heard anything. Anyways, congrats again. cherez01: Hello All, Here is my Timeline for our Application. *** I am a new nairalander so please forgive me If I am not posting this right. lol
PR Timeline (Spousal Sponsorship) - Application Submitted: 16th August 2023 - AOR: 17th August 2023 - Biometrics: 20th Oct 2023 - Eligibility Started: 12th Jan 2024 - Medical Requested: 27th Jan 2024 - Background Check & Eligibility Completed: 20th May 2024 - Pre-Arrival email: 21st May 2024 - COPR appears on the tracker: 21st May 2024 - VO Accra- Ghana - PPR Mail June 6th 2024
PS: I submitted a Visitor's Visa for my Spouse in late December 2023 but that is yet to be approved as at today. Also, I raised countless webforms and I can't remember any particular response/answer from IRCC that was helpful. same "We re working on it bla bla, It's within timelines bla bla". In fact, at point they stopped responding to me sef. lol. So what I did next (I do not know if this helped me but it has helped someone I know) was to send an email to my MP here in Canada for/on behalf of my Spouse in Nigeria. Anyways, here we are today. we will be using Kenya VFS for next steps as I here It's faster than Accra.
Finally, I will like to appreciate all the non-silent members here. lol. because you share your opinions, thoughts, suggestions and experiences, you help a lot of silent like myself here. lol. you really have no idea how your wisdom and shared experiences help others here. Please never stop. I pray we all succeed and get to our various destinations in the end. Amen! |

For something like this you will most likely need the assistance of a legal professional. Even if you can’t hire a lawyer which are usually more expensive you can seek the services of a Trusted immigration consultant who has handled such cases. You might be taking a big risk if you decide to go ahead and reply the letter without seeking legal professional assistance. Don’t gamble with this. Kcenyimbk: Goodafternoon everyone. Please I’m in desperate need of help and ideas right now. I applied for spousal sponsorship in June 2023, My husband came back on April 2023,got married to me and travelled back to Canada…. We applied in May but our application was rejected due to some mistakes, then we reapplied in June… I’ve done biometrics,Medicals and all documentation… Was waiting for ppr, when I got an email… A procedural fairness letter…. First of all they asked me to prove my marriage the further,by adding more pictures and chats and documentation… That one is not an issue.. The main issue now is that they said I’m guilt for misrepresentation…… I never knew I made a mistake in the form…… To be honest,I filled the wrong box by mistake… In 2017,I was denied a us visiting visa… I think I wanted to go for vacation or something…. I can’t even remember why they rejected me… It was since 2017, So they asked me to prove myself,if found guilty,I will be banned for 5 years…. My marriage is still very young and the emotional turmoil of long distance sef is painful…. I consulted some consultant and she said I should look for the slip they gave me the refusal slip… I can’t find it…. But I had to search my mail and saw the application slip with the application number….. How do we go about it and honestly,we don’t have the funds for a lawyer at this moment…. Pls has any one gone through this |

Its Nice you like it in Regina Not everyone can manage the cold in Saskatchewan tho. Hence, the reason some Nigerians still prefer Ontario. Folafikemi: Ok I have been a PR here in Saskatchewan province and living in Regina City for over a year now.... As Salford rightly said, this is about the most easiest province to relocate to from Nigeria and Not regret ever having to make such decisions Cos it's easier to start all over again here unlike the bigger cities where u have to husstle and die to "make it". I was in ON, saw the standard of living compared with SK and I take SK ove On any day. Almost missed my flight back to SK from ON dues to gridlock like the one on Lagos Island.
Life is easier here though minimu wage is low but it's 90% a take over naija any day. I got my vehicle all paid up withing 5months of working and a decent apartment in Greens Gardiner for those that knows Regina City and so far it's been a journey worth it..
Yes it's lonely and the reason u need to move here with Ur family. And if u single then u can explore.
Above all no regret so far as I no pass my boundary and being a PR is the best I can wish for now. Citizenship loading in a jeefeey... |

According to info on Canada immigration website, a family of 2 will require $16,135 that is Canadian dollars. Juat say approximately $16,500 CAD. You can convert that with the prevailing exchange rate. debssy: Hi RonkeGoke,
Please i just got ITA? what's the minimum proof of fund required for a family of 2?. Can I chat you in private? |

Anyways the cold in Saskatchewan is something else but I'm sure many Nigerians would not mind the cold if they have the opportunity to come to Canada . However, on the good side, the cost of housing is fairly moderate compared to most cities in Ontario. |
