Tiwanna: go to national population commission(npc) to get your birth certificate. i live in port harcourt so i did mine last year at npc in Moscow rd right here in port harcourt. if you were born after 1992 you will get a birth cert from them. but if you were born in b4 1992 you will an attestation of birth instead. thats what i got the attestation of birth. so go get yours from npc sir.

Tiwanna: police report some people said they did it for 5k, some said 8k, while others said 10k. so just keep 10k at hand for the police report to be on the safe side.
well in the forms that you will send back to KCC you need a united states address so that they can send you your welcome letter, ssn and gc when you arrive in the united states. so you definitely need a US address. try reaching out to people you know to give you one when you start filling the forms, but if you have not listed any on the forms you sent back to kcc, it will be requested from you on the day of your interview. medicals is 25k, the visa fee is $330, international passport is 16-18k but just hole 20k when going to the office just in case it is higher. passport needs to be valid for sixty days means you need a passport that is current, that shows your face for what it is now. your medical and police report needs to be done in Lagos, but you can do your international passport and npc aka birth certificate, passport anywhere you are in nigeria. hope these clarifies everything @road boy. thanks

Tiwanna: first of all am not a boy, am a girl. case numbers are assigned to winners in the seven region with Africa taking the Af0000036 part, so since you are in Nigeria u fall in the Africa region. a case number is given to each person in other for D.O.S to be able to identify each winners and know how to allocate visa's for each region. when a case number is current, it means that an interview has been set for persons that fall beyond the number mention ( example for Africa 33000 except Egypt 12000, Nigeria 29000 and Ethiopia 33000) to come to the embassy to see if they are eligible for the attainment of the visa's issued.

Tiwanna: well you need to prepare for the interview, study very hard if you are using your SSCE result ensure you read your best subjects in skool, and your worst ones, if u are a graduate make sure you remember the courses you studied in your first and final year in the university, your project topic and the content in it, don't lie be bold and honest, if you cant be bold, stand up to the Co and answer his question like he is owing you money, make sure you have an eye contact with him/her during the interview. my dear you cant miss the visa if you prepare real hard and speak boldly while you remain honest. i said no offense cuz i tot u would get angry if i said what i said sorry . And make sure ur arrive on time and put Baba God b4 everything you do on that day .

rood boy: @ leripa...many thanx jare for ur response and ur prayer...I never send anytin for KCC cz of my GCE it is order processing...my GCE it going too comeout by december second...so if I never send my form to KCC I will never know my interview day bros?

Leripa: @rood boy: your interview date will be determined by your case number level. If it is low, you might be looking at anytime before december but if it is high, then it's january upward. Let's have your case number here and i believe people that are more experience than i do will assist you.

Leripa: @rood boy: no, not yet. But if u've sent ur forms to KCC, then keep checking ur email from August. Your interview date will be determined by ur case number, irrespective of how early u submit ur forms. Best of luck.

She then said ok and gave us a letter to come on the date written on it with our wedding album

you seems to be a nice lady,let's go. He took me out and said to the both of us,
you may leave. After 3 weeks they called my husband and said we should submit our passport and a new medical report in their new hospital so we did when we got to the embassy we were given a letter to go to an address and get our visa in 5 working days.
Now we are in US praise God! Halleluyah.

i won the dv 2012 ,so last year after playing for 12 years.
no need to hurry, you have visa bulletin board which tell you when you will get your interview. can be in 1 year...this is based on your number, not first come first served.
google for visa bulletin board.
i take 3 months to fill paper, sent all to KCC in october, and got invited in feb for interview and 1 month later got my immigrant visa. you will receive an email 3-4 weeks before interview to check the lottery webpage where you will receive new instruction. so the number is very important.

when u send documents to US, be sure to include an email address, if info missing they will send you an email.this happened to me because i omitted a US address.i called a friend in California and used his postal mail address. this is the physical or postal address where they will send you the green card 3 weeks after u land in the USA.you can still change the address when u arrive in the USA
