malcon: God is great. I had a successful interview today.
i arrived lagos u.s. embassy at exactly 10mins to 6am. when it was 6:30am,a guy came to announce that all non-immigrant for 6:30am interview should queue up. shortly,the guy then came to announce for 7:00am interview for immigrant category in which i belong. lucky enough, i was the first person in the immigrant queue category. after all thier series of announcement ranging from opening the medical envelope,what not to enter in with and series of security checks,i was finally ushered in. note, while you move from one point to another, make sure you secure all tally number given to you. after paying the 330dollar which was 54500naira,i was called to submit all my credentials. i submitted all i came with and the lady took just the needed ones e.g nysc cert, degree cert, neco cert, npc birth cert,epassport,three passport photo,one photocopy for each credentials and also the police and medical report. in summary, interview started after waiting for like 1hr 50mins. i was the first to be interview today in the immigrant category.

temmytanny: You are right bro but i must say here that it shouldnt be yard stick for attacks. Attimes i used my mobile phone(touchscreen phone) to type and make mistakes, i dont see these until i log on to my PC but some people will just yab you for nothing. Am very poor in writing english but i doubt if any one here can beat me in speaking it. Funny enough i never passed it at first sitting. I did engineering in school and English wasnt yard stick for me to pass my papers. But i know withing me that i needed to work on my english,no one told me. Even britons that owns the language speak badly, America that we are planing to go is even worse. Its gud to brush up your english but we should use it to attack ourselves here even if they are reading our posts from planet MARS.
Please,no more related attacks on english or else i wont back down on this.PEACE!

Will u write rubbish English u wrote to reply me? Am sure u will b bounced. For the fact that English is not our mother's tongue doesn't mean we shod nt be at least average when writing or speaking it. I no yab u oo, english no dey giv moni bt gud English dey command respect. Me sef dey trip wen some people here write beta English pass ma pry 6 own.

Kenny3273: To add to what u people are saying about having a poor english communication,the issue is very simple if u re not that good in communicate in english,find someone to rehearse with i mean acting like Co tell him/her the likely question u will encounter at the interview,if u are a olevel holder study hard with the subject u did while in school also if u re a graduate master all courses u did in school including ur project topic,im very sure u will come back and testify with what God has done for u,pls dont be discourage about ur poor english communication skills,if God is kind enough to choose you among the millions,he will see u through in jesus name be calm and do not shivering,do not be frightene the visa is yours, above all ask for the favour of GOd when going for the interview be secretive about it dont disclose with neighbours or friends im talking with experience i wish everyone goodluck and those wating to be selected, i luv u all! ferdiii: I rest my case but I have not seen anything being produced or done solely for people who do not open up to embrace education. I hate it when my mother struggles to go to her bank and do transactions and that can be excused but when a younger guy does that,it hurts. My doctor pal came to my office yesterday and was enquiring on how TOEFL is. He needs to move up.The US embassy has registered TOEFL for him on a program he is shortlisted. When you jettison education, you gonna remain where you are. Again you see yourself at a higher level and look like a fish out of water.Now you are up, you have to do what it takes to remain there.

roodboy,we are here to help ourselves as one big family, I really appreciate your tolerance and humility.The first step in solving a problem is to admit that there is a problem which you have really exercised.From your post I deduced that you might be in your early 20s or late teens so you are not too old to learn, take up the challenge and improve yourself.Get hold of English textbooks and start like a kid, I bet you may end up being a Professor in English.Just like a yoruba language english is also a language the more you are closer to people who speak it the more you understand it.Please don't be offended this is just my 25 cent.
