Mi4 is a relatively old device and you may not be able to get spare parts.
Go for newer devices like Mi5, or the Mi6.

The only fault so far is the slow charging time.
Also not everyone likes the UI, but that's subjective.

You went the long way to solve it. It took me 6 seconds to fix my umi's proximity issue......

No pain, no gain.

Proximity Sensor - Did not work out of the box, possibly requires more optimizations. I downloaded an app from the Google playstore, and this app fixed the proximity sensor issue.....

One second outage - On certain occasions, while using this phone, screen goes off for a second, but returns back. More software optimization required to fix this second outage bug..

Umi and this proximity sensor issue...


How I solved mine was with a format then flash with SP flash tool.

Proximity sensor works perfectly now.
