Sorry to tell you, the solution regarding the port situation in Nigeria is right there in Lagos state for obvious reasons, Lekki deep seaport which is the best, the deepest and modern port in West Africa is only 2-3 years away from completion to decongest the port in Apapa so you are sadly mistaken if you think ports outside Lagos are capable of diverting commerce and economic activities away from Lagos just because of new ports in the SS.

The next massive economic zone in Nigeria is Lekki in Lagos so can the ports in the SS receive or evacuate the goods and services from LFTZ or from Dangote refinery, petrochemical and fertilizer complex? No, that's for the Lekki deep.

The ports in the SS are doing better today with more ships heading there, this is not happening by accident, it's because the current administration is doing what the previous ones refused to do for decades.

PDP/Jona sat in office for 16 years and we did not hear anything about new ports in the SS, no approval even though the governors were PDP governors, they even let the old ones rot away.
