Polarbite:Lol @ "fraudsters"...anyways, we're rounding up for the year, so training commences early next year. you get to know all that has to be with comic making, comic scripts writing and storyboarding, penciling and inking, digital coloring etc. You can be sure it wount be expensive tho 'cuz we are trying to build the comic industry in Nigeria. The more the merrier. Cheers# |

The let's connect design is great...except for the perspective of the design...the instagram logo you used isn't working in correct perspective with the other 2logos(if one is to take the reflections into consideration)..the instagram logo should have been on the same horizontal plane/position with the whatsapp logo to form a balanced perspective view. But, if your wish is to have the 3 logos in the position you pit them, then, the logos and texts besides them shouldn't have been of the same size..the Fb logo will be the smallest, followed by the whatsapp and the instagram should have been the largest...you would hhave gotten away with the design you haave there assuming you didn't add the reflections which indicates your logos are on a reflective plane...However, you have done a great job sir. Continue improving your skills. |
The calender...good job. |
55th anniversary design for Nigeria is on point. |
willbob:Great work on your bio design..looks really colourful. I like the colors you chose except for the purple/pink you used to set a boundary between ur picture and bio details...the colours aren't in harmony. And your texts aren't that visible on the bottom corner of the design where you have you Fb id and email...thats for the first design... |
Ohh ok..noted... |

"Omo Ajepako"..lol..anyways, I think you should be ready to invest a lot (mb/money) if you want to know more about comics. but most importantly, you must have real passion for it 'cus comic publishing comes with its own challenges just like any other venture.the question you should ask yourself is..1, what role are you going to play in the comic publication process which include the story development, penciling, inking, digital coloring, editing, cover art design etc...2, your target market and how you intend reaching out to them..3, the comic industry in Nigeria is geting attention now with the springing up of great comic books like, strikeguard, june12, newage etc...what are you going to be introducing that can make yours stand out..4, funding..how do you intend to fund your publications even without advert or branding from coporate bodies...5..what platform are you going to be pushing your comics om..print, online or both...etc...anyways, I promised to send you a pdf tutorial on drawing comic characters, I will do that as soon as I get home. I have your email....choii..see epistle....below is a picture of Roye okupe's EXO..i snapped that page for you to have an idea of some of professionals involved in the comic publication process...beautiful thing is, it's not a must you can draw...you can simply be a good story writter and you get people to draw illustrate for you. Comic industry is goin to be big in Nigeria in the next two years..tap into it bro..all the best. |
I am sure you will find thousands of tutorials online..if you use an android phone..go to playstore and download darkhorse comic app..when you do that, launch the app and go through the book shelf menu, you will see tutorials by professional comic artists you can download for free...or you could simply send me your e-mail, I can forward you some pdf format comic book character drawing tutorials, panel division and speech baloons layout tutorials etc for free. Cheers.... |
Go for either Adobe indesign or QuarkXpress. You can download QuarkXpress online.. |
Well, it depends on the software you want to learn for your graphics and also the rate at which you assimilate. Personally, I would have advised you go online(youtube) to get tutorials on the particular graphics software you will use but I'd rather find someone to be physically there to teach me then use the tutorial gotten online to complement it. It may not come cheap but it's an investment to develop your skills. So my dear bro, the ball is now in your court. |
I got one extra to dash out free...who is interested? |
