Since 1990, notes the psychoanalyst and writer, the rate of married women who report they’ve been unfaithful has increased by 40 percent, while the rate among men has remained the same.

More women than ever are cheating, she tells us, or are willing to admit that they are cheating — and while Perel spends much of her book examining the psychological meaning, motivation, and impact of these affairs, she offers little insight into the significance of the rise itself.

Some of these villages in Abuja are really terrible, I will never advice anyone to live in them.

Any accommodation below N300k in the actual city center is actually a death trap and will moat likely going to be in a huge ghetto.

Nairaland / General / Top 5 Things That Drains Almost All Nigerians Bank Account. Number 3 Is Worst by Rottymy: 1:54pm On Sep 16, 2018
Below are top 5 things that drains almost all Nigerians’ bank account

1. Mobile Phones

No doubt, mobile phones are important to our daily life but the struggle to use latest mobile phone gadget pose a major threat to financial life of many Nigerians.

Research had it that an average Nigerian change phone at least twice in a year. Some people go as far as using their life savings to buy latest phone just to level up.

Somebody using iPhone 8 wants to upgrade to iPhone X when another iPhone XI is already out. At the end of the day, these phones still serve almost the same function, with little adjustment.

2. Recharge Cards For Call & Browsing Data

Changing phones like clothes is not enough but recharging the phones for calls and browsing is another money draining things we spend too much money on.

In all indications, network providers are benefiting immensely from spending habit of Nigerians when it comes to recharging and data usage. On the average, Nigerians spend over ₦5,000 on data monthly.

We wish to spend less on Data but Instagram Videos, YouTube Videos, Whatsapp Statusand the rest won’t let us.

3. Fueling Generator & Car

It’s sad that Nigeria is a country where you will use over N10,000 fuel just to enjoy yourN2,000 GOTV subscription.

Poor power supply in Nigeria is draining the pockets of everyone and the fact that you will still have to pay PHCN bill again after spending much on fuel makes the country more frustrating.

For those that have car too, with ₦145 per liter fuel rates, it is less expensive to use Public transport than a Private car.

4. Alcohol

Taking a look at records of Alcohol consumption in Nigeria in past years, it is quite obvious that Nigerians spend more on alcohol consumption.

As a matter of fact, guys are now balling with no budget.

5. Transportation

Only Lagosians will understand that transportation takes away a larger part of one’s income.

Many people work far away from home, so going to work everyday drains money.

Nairaland / General / Ladies: 4 Habits You Must Never Condone From A Man. by Rottymy: 2:14pm On Sep 12, 2018
No man is perfect. However, you don't have to lower your standards just because of this.

There are certain behaviour or habits that you must never condone from a man.

These include;

1. Uncontrollable anger

Although anger can be so hard to control, a real man has to know how to stop that rage that anger creates in him.

The ability to control anger is what differentiates a man from a boy.

If he can't correct you or express his side of the story without shouting or screaming, then he isn't right for you.

2. Ignoring his promises to you

Promises are critical in every relationship.

As a lady, you have to understand the difference between failing to keep the promise on time and completely ignoring the promises.

When he ignores his promises to you and explains nothing, then he probably doesn't take you seriously.

3. Lying

Sometimes we have to lie, but not to people who are so close to us.

If a man lies to you almost all the time, then he is not the man to be with.

Honesty is a very important factor in a relationship.

4. Not putting you first

A man who truly loves a woman will always put her first ahead of everything.

If he cares too much about his friends, work and family and leaves you behind, then he is probably not going to make you happy any sooner.

Romance / Pastor Apologizes To His Congregation. See Reason Here. Photo by Rottymy: 6:03pm On Sep 09, 2018
Days after he was caught in bed with a church member, Pastor O. Jermaine Simmons, 37, of Jacob Chapel Baptist Church, has apologised to his congregation. Pastor Simmons fled naked when the husband of his mistress caught them in action.

He was at Claynisha Stephens’ home in Tallahassee, Florida, to discuss a charity project when they became intimate on her daughter’s bed at around 2pm on January 17.
Claynisha’s husband, Benjamin, 38, caught both of them less than an hour later when he returned home with their 6-year-old son, after getting a call from his school that he was sick. Teachers had tried to reach Claynisha but she didn’t answer the phone having already gotten into bed with the pastor, a police report indicated. On seeing them together in bed, Benjamin got curious and threatened to kill Simmons.

He pulled out a handgun from his bedroom and Pastor Simmons ran away without his clothes, keys, phone or wallet to hide by a fence. Benjamin kept hold of his gun in the home and threatened to turn up at the church to make a ‘statement’ about what had happened. He took Simmons’ belongings and left the house. A friend later came to pick up Pastor Simmons.

Claynisha stood in front of her husband, begging him not to shoot anyone in front of their son. She called the police when her husband fled in his car. According to the police report, Claynisha said she and Pastor Simmons had been building a bond since October last year and that on the day in question, he had visited her apartment to discuss potential charity work but that they became intimate.

“Simmons had come to her residence and they engaged in sexual activity. As they were so engaged, staff at the school attempted to contact (the woman) via telephone to inform her that her six-year-old son was ill. After failing to reach her, staff at the school contacted (her husband who) retrieved his son from the school and transported him to the residence. When (he) arrived at the residence with their son, he discovered her and Simmons lying upon her daughter’s bed engaged in sexual activity.

He loudly exclaimed ‘I’m going to kill him’ at which point Simmons immediately fled from the apartment in a state of UnCloth,” the police report read.

“You cannot defend sin. This isn’t about nobody else but me,’ Simmons said, apologising to his church members. He also revealed that his wife Elise had decided to stand by him.“What I am asking of our members, and it’s something I may or may not get, and that is your prayers, I’m asking for your forgiveness.”

He said he was being ‘pushed forward’ by God and that he was a ‘work in progress’. The pastor, who has one young son, also advised members of the congregation not to engage in talks about his infidelity on the internet which he called a ‘world of sharks’.

Romance / 5 Things Women Discuss In The Absence Of Men. by Rottymy: 5:50pm On Sep 09, 2018
5 things women discuss in the absence of men.

Gossiping women. Women, just like men, have their issues they discuss.

Just like men have their subjects to discuss while women are away, women too have things they discuss when there are no men around.

Here are some of the most commonly discussed subjects by a group of women when men aren't around;

1. Guys

Just like men talk about women, women too discuss guys when they are not in the presence of any man. Usually, they discuss about their physical attraction, social status and behavioral patterns.

2. Food

Not only men love eating; women too love eating. When a group of women sit down to discuss food, they usually talk about things like recipes. If not this, they talk about some food they crave for.

3. Periods

The worst moments in a woman's life; the periods. When they sit down to talk about this, it might be about some drugs or medication to reduce the pain that comes as a result of cramps.

4. Gossip

This is not a clean term to call this but women love talking about other women. Usually, they talk about how they look, dress, talk and behave.

5. Sex and intimacy

Every woman has that one friend she can talk about every thing in her life with. They talk about performance levels, attraction and fantasies.
