The house of Reps members had to run to the national assembly when the realized same scenario might play out in their case. Even at that, his choice, Hon Gbajabiamila lost out to the people’s choice, Hon Dogara. Likely Scenarios: 1. Going by insinuations, Buhari may not likely go for a second term. Maybe that’s why so many Northern power players have been working day and night to curb the influence of Tinubu. 2. The north won’t be willing to relinquish power anytime soon so the likely scenario might be to bring up a very saleable Atiku-Peter Obi ticket for 2019 with a promise to return Saraki as the Senate President. This alone would ensure Atiku gets the southeast, southsouth, northeast and the north central. 2015 will then play out again when Jonathan won the south south and southeast convincingly but couldn’t defeat Buhari in the aggregate; Osinbajo and his 2019 running mate, sweeping only the southwest and northeast. 3. If Buhari show’s any sign of weakening health (God forbid it) like in the case of Yaradua and a Jonathan scenario is envisaged, the Saraki led Senate would be instigated(by external forces) to move to impeach VP Osinbajo on trumped up charges. The southwest has only 18 senators; 90 percent of the remaining 91(giving us 75 percent of the total; 67 percent is what is required for an impeachment to sail through) would vote in favour of that. In the end, Tinubu will pack his kaya and go back to being a local King Kong…the lion of his street; bourdillion.
