I did my biometrics and finally got ma hostel accomodation yesterday. I will be movin in on sunday to resume lectures on monday. |
When i arrive @ d lagos campus for my registration, i ws surprise to see only few students dat turned up for registration. I ws expectin to see numbers bt dat ws nt d case. This is due to d fact dat most of d law school applicants r yet to be posted and others r still on their medical test. However, registration is going smooth since there r no large crowds. Reporting from lagos |
Oh! I never knew dats wots cosin the delay.

|
I am suprise that the law school is still uploadin admission list till this moment nt to talk of posting list this one really suprise me ooooo! For christ sake this is the 17th of November which is suppose to be for registration of admitted applicants. Does that explain why as at last friday, Zenith Bank has refuse to start acceptin School fees from applicants on full admission. They should do all dat is necessary to enable students settle down at their respective campus. Abeg! |
Yep its out. Check the law school website. I ws posted to lagos campus |

i rum mates, I am graduating klass of law 2012. i was actually mobilized for batch A and was posted to Oyo State but my faculty told us dat we should wait for law skool scheduled for october 2013, i got mobilized becos of the uncertainty of going to law skol becos of backlogs. I Neva knew dat d backlog 4 law skool will eventually prevent us from going and by d tyme compilation started our seniors came and insisted dat they go first. Before i rushed down to skol to revalidate my mobilization for batch b it was late. i was told to wait for batch c and it was just last week wednesday that d student affairs in my skol started issuing out mobilization forms for batch c and i have filled it already, though i just filled d complaint form xo dat my earlier mobilization can be revalidated. i hav to wait till october. its worth waiting for, atleast dis year will not be a waste. I rep Nsuk. |
Its my pleasure, |
Well, Sincerely, i dont work with d NLS. The BAR PART I nd II is 4 16 mnts. But 4 indigenous students, since we hav done those courses under BAR PART I in our undergraduate studies, it is usually presumed we hav a knowledge of the Nigerian Legal sys. So we are admitted to BAR PART II which is 4 8 mnts. We usually take classes, attend law dinners(which is compulsory witout which one will not graduate 4rm NLS), take exams, assigned 2 and serve a pupillage in law firms, and also attend court sessions where we are expose 2 the practice of law. And like i said earlier, if u hav some questions to ask, feel free to ask at any time, i'll alwayz giv u answers. |
Alright, if u say American University in Cyprus operates a law faculty that teaches common law courses/subjects and its recognised and its graduates sits 4 d bar exams over there in cyprus, and are admitted 2 practise law, and cyprus legal system has a substantive common law content, then u can apply as a foreign law student to d NLS(though u are a Nigerian). U will b admitted to d BAR PART I because u had studied 4 ur LL.B in a foreign university. BAR PART I is usually taken by foreign students only, and courses usually taken are: Nig. legal sys, Constitutional law, Criminal law, and Nig. land law. Dis is intended to allow foreign students familiarize wit d Nigerian corpus juris. BAR PART II is 4 both foreign and indigenous students and courses taken here includes adjectival or procedural courses which is intended to make students become acquainted with d practical aspect of law. I should let u know also that d NLS can also admit those who have passed d Final Bar Examinations of d English, Scottish or Irish Bar, or d Solicitor's Final Examinations of England, Scotland or Ireland. If u're still not clear, or u hav other questions, pls do not hesitate 2 ask me, i will b always ready 2 giv u answers. THANKS |
