Travel / 20 Things You Must Know As A Nigerian Before Heading To The UAE. by Ruben225571(m): 8:40am On Oct 22, 2021
1. UAE visa is cheap but the country is expensive and with so much Competition .

2. There is so much bad Image for Nigerian in UAE so you must be willing to do more of good conduct to enable you stand out.

3. UAE is not a country you come to with $100 BTA, the moment you drop from the airplane to the moment you receive your first salary is a whole lot of spending, so be prepared

4. 99% of the Jobs your agent promised you from Nigeria is not true, he may also be on overstay and doesn't care if you join him/her.

5. Free accomodation is scarce in UAE, dont get angry when your friend or relative refuses to accommodate you, if you Intend to share with them, always agree properly, don't assume.

6. Your prospective employer has a different culture from you, always calm down to observe.

7. UAE has labour laws, get someone who knows to explain to you, don't act on information you gather online.

8. If you are a skilled worker, eg mechanic, mason, electrician, tiler etc, it's easier for you to get a job than he who comes with a master's degree in philosophy or business admin etc.

9. Always be sure you want a job before you take it , don't sign a job contract and abandon it mid-way, it may be the beginning of your predicament.

10. For those who get promises of visa and ticket to pay back when you get to UAE, there is a 99% chance that you are been exported for prostitution, in UAE prostitution is a CRIME and doesn't give you as much money as it does in Europe , so think twice when you get such offers.

11. If your main business is yahoo, no need to come except you have already made it big in Nigeria and you need a good environment where you can invest your money and have a good life.

12. Don't pay anyone hundreds of thousands of Naira to get a UAE visa with a promise of big job, if you have millions and must come to Dubai, get a one month visa and do a residence permit on arrival if you don't get a desired job.

13. Those who have a personal residence permit tend to get higher paying jobs than those who come with tourist visas and are on company residence permit.

14. You cannot rob a bank, do cultism etc and go free in UAE, there are cameras everywhere and the boarders are tight.

15. Once your visa expires, you loose all your legality and begin to pay overstay fines, avoid it if you can.

16. Shouting, fighting, protesting, illegal gathering, unauthorised photography, cultism are all prohibited in UAE, it will get you into trouble.

17. Not all businesses in UAE are doing well, some Pakistanis, Indians, Filipinos, Arabs etc you call Arbab/ sponsors are also struggling, they set up a company and employ you, they can mess up your stay if they can't proceed with your residence permit.

18. When a company employs you, size them up, evaluate their operations and check well if they are capable of paying salaries and issuing a residence permit, let me explain further; a new coffee shop in Umm Al Quain that employs 6 of you at same time and does not have enough customers may disappoint you, use your brain to avoid crying at last.

19. Starting a business for Nigerians is not as difficult as you hear, that's if you have the money, seek information.

20. UAE is not easy, guys work hard here, really hard.

Food / 12.5kg Cooking Gas May Sell For N10,000 By December, Marketers Raise Alarm! by Ruben225571(m): 1:00pm On Oct 10, 2021
12.5kg cooking gas may sell for N10,000 by December, Marketers raise alarm!

Marketers of Liquefied Petroleum Gas have told Nigerians that the price of cooking gas might rise astronomically In fact, the marketers claimed that the price of 12.5kg cooking gas may sell for N10,000 by December if care is not taken

Nigerians have been told that they might soon start buying cooking gas at an astronomical price. This is according to Marketers of Liquefied Petroleum Gas. The marketers expressed worry over the supply shortage leading to persistent increase in the price of the commodity.

They warned that 12.5kg of cooking gas currently selling between N7,500 and N8,000 could rise to N10,000 before December if nothing was done to address the crisis.

The marketers lamented that more Nigerians had resorted to using firewood, charcoal, sawdust, among other unrefined energy sources whose prices have also begun to rise.

The Executive Secretary of the National Association of LPG Marketers, Mr Bassey Essien, disclosed this during the weekly e-discourse organised by a leading Pan-African forum, Platforms Africa, a statement on Saturday by the organisation’s Team Lead, Adeola Yusuf, said. Platforms Africa is the e-community of intellectuals, policy moulders and opinion leaders on the continent .

Essien maintained that government needed to review the recently introduced import charges and Value Added Tax, else “the price of cooking gas may as well reach N10,000 for a 12.5kg cylinder.” He said, “Today (Saturday), the price has risen to N7,500 and N8,000. The skyrocketing price of gas is our fear and what we are trying to avoid. Early in the year a 20-metric ton of gas was selling for below N5m but today, the same tonnage sells for N10.2m. As long as there is that supply shortage, the available quantity and the dynamics of supply-demand will keep pushing the price higher.”

Abokifx is one of the reasons why the black market dollar is too high.
People who want to sell usually go to their website and then sell at their current rates.
That means when they put up 750 as their rate, people use the same rate.
Long before the advent of Internet or rather abokifx, the price of black market dollar was determined by demand and supply.
Now people hoard them and abokifx helps them move up the price.
They come online to claim victim, meanwhile they're part of the problem.
This current government is clueless(that includes Emefiele) but it doesn't mean they should fold their hands and watch the Naira lose value entirely.

If you are buying $USDT make sure you DYOR well don’t go and buy high and expect $1 to #1k Naira by December, check Twitter and see what’s going on between #Abokifx with the CBN make sure you buy at the right time don’t go and buy high ooo and be aiming for #1k to $1, he get why.....

Aboki fx don’t have any issues with CBN!!

CBN is just been angry cos aboki fx leak the high rate of Naira to Dollar” which the CBN governor is upset with! That’s it!

CBN can’t do shit to aboki fx, CBN Oga is just angry cos Aboki fx leak the information without taken permission. And that didn’t take permission to leak information hurt CBN Oga “ however the way things are going. If dollar hit 1k per 1$ , don’t expect it to come down that much, highest it’s would come down to 800-900 naira per 1$ . Cos things are changing!!! That’s fact!! And normally dollars always high during Christmas period!

You can make your own examples and mentions the ones you like and believe in!! Don’t tell me the coins to mention! Cos the same Sol that was 27$-37- in July is now trading at 150-200$…. Which non of you believe the coin would hit this amount so soon initially! Same way Ada from 1$-3$ would turn 5-20$ in time to come!! We all have our plans. Keep yours and I keep mine!

Hodling no hard u say àbí..

I don hear u

Yes and I say it very bold! You know Why?

There two things in crypto!
Trading and Holding!!

Some people are in crypto for day trading. While some are in for buying and Holding for a long time!!

Like me. I am in both. I have my holding coins. As well I have and know the coins i do trade!

I stake my holdings and when it’s expired. I stake again!

While for day trading. I buy low and sell high!
Nothing concerns me with my holding coins. Cos is long term investment!! And i already have the amount am using for trading!!

NB: The strategy i told you about. If you follow. Nothing would make you think about your holding!
Cos you already have the money you’re using for trading!!!!!

You can only cry out about holding if you don’t have enough money to buying coins for holding and trading!! That’s fact!!!

Example: You have 1K$ !
Your plan is this:
500$ is for trading!
500$ Is for holding of coins!

What would bring temptations into this? Unless you lost all your plan which is the 500$ for trading!

All in all. Weren’t the same” so it’s maybe hard for you as you say. But this procedures is very good and easy!!

Little strategic about holding and Day trading!

Holding of coin isn’t that hard if you do this way!

Example: You have 1K$ to invest and trade!!
Buy Ada with 200$
Buy Bnb with 300$
Buy Sol with 300$

Which is 800$ in total! This is for holding!!

You’re left with 200$!
Remember this 200$ is for day trading! And on no condition would you mistake your holding for a day trading!!

So in this 200$ for a day trading.
You bough Avax at 100!
You buy maybe Luna, Psg, matic, or any other coins of your choice inside the 200$ for a day trading.. always have it in mind” that day trading is like rollover.. You start with 200$ but your aims is to increase your initial 200$ to perhaps 300,400,500$ Etc!!! (1) Buy low,(2) you sell high” which you must be very patient in other not to sell at lose and always buy at low cost and sell at a little high cost!

In this way” You won’t feel the torture/temptation of holding! And trade smoothly!!

NB: In day trading.. You must have a plan. Is under must! Meaning: Entry plan, exit plan!
Your buying target and selling target. !!

At the end— What did I even know!! grin grin grin

Mass shut down

Approaching the September 24 deadline for foreign and local crypto exchanges to register as legal trading platforms with the authorities, almost 40 out of estimated 60 local operators are about to be shut down, the Financial Times reported, citing “industry insiders and regulators.”

According to the report, South Korean cryptocurrency traders are facing $2,6 billion losses as the deadline approaches.

“For VASPs that are unable to meet the requirements and are terminating their operation, the authorities advised them to take measures to minimize damages to service users by issuing advance notices about their business termination at least 7 days prior (until Sep. 17) to the expected termination date, informing users about the withdrawal procedures being available until at least 30 days after terminating services and discarding users’ personal information according to the relevant rules,” read the official press release, following the September 6 virtual meeting.

To be able to register with the authorities, South Korean operators must partner with local banks to open real-name bank accounts for customers, but, as the report pointed out, local lenders were reluctant to take that route, scared of being exposed to money laundering and other financial crimes.

“Huge investor losses are expected with trading suspended and assets frozen at many small exchanges as customer protection will not likely be the priority of those exchanges facing an imminent closure,” Cho Yeon-haeng, president of Korea Finance Consumer Federation told Financial Times.

They will find themselves suddenly poor. I wonder if regulators can handle the side-effects,” he added.

Following the US dollar and the euro, the Korean won ranks as the third most common currency used for crypto trading, according to the report, which reminded that the regulations will also affect foreign exchanges that run operations for Korean traders and offer won trading. !

Watch out—-
