Why you think Anambra needs to shell out money for such a project?
Some politicians are seduced by grand visions that have no pragmatic value. Anambra's long-time obsession with having their own airport (even before Obiano) is a wasted vision. Invest money on social amenities, developing the state capital that still looks like a big village, cleaning up Onitsha, connecting roads and electrifying rural communities, investing in public health facilities, schools (including the state university), agriculture etc. There is plenty of work to be done in these key areas rather than a bloody airport! Who the hell would use it?

Anambra is the safest state in Nigeria with quality and beautiful infrastructures.

Anambra International airport is 15mins to Onitsha via Nkisi federal road, less than 25mins to Awka and about 35mins to Nnewi. It is a central airport.

Personally, I really do not understand the signifcance of this airport. There is already an airport in Asaba. Onitsha to Asaba is under an hour drive. I think the governor would have opened up new roads linking Asana rather than constructing a new airport.
