Rejoice with me my E-family as I welcomed my baby boy into this world yesterday Aug 29th weighing 3kg at 42 weeks.
Alhamdulillah but baby and mama are doing well and tryin to get to know each other.
May the almighty God make it easy for the remainin Aug/Sept mamas.

My Birth Story.
Labour only lasted 3hrs......

She called later for me to come out as she's driving down to my house, I was very happy. got to the hospital at 4am, I didn't let the nurses check me as d pain didn't allow me to stay. I started pooping and my water broke, she shouted that I should climb d bed. she said I should cooperate with her so she can turn baby's head to face up to prevent her from swallowing anything. she flipped her head and I pushed with d next contraction, baby didn't come, she was too big. wen contraction returned I pushed again no way. with the third contraction baby came out screaming at 4:25am weighing 4.45kg. I was giving an injection to deliver the placenta, it came out afterwards. baby gave me tear and suturing itself felt worse than labour but thank God it ended in praise. congrats to mama's still dropping, may your Los be a source of favour and blessing to your household . safe delivery to all pregnant women and BFP to all ATC mums.

Rejoice with my family, my princess arrived this morning by 3:19am weighing 3:39kg through VD. It's the Lord doing because I was initially booked for CS tomorrow.

No need to panic but pls see your primary health giver right away. Pray all is well.

Don't know which is Shirokdah or MacDonald, would browse on it shortly. I wasn't placed under GA though, just from my legs down. I could feel d pulling and all although I didn't feel pain. So it's painful to remove ehn? Good it would be done during CS then
I actually read online that it's an outpatient procedure but my doc insisted on a few days monitoring.

It is not usually painful o. In fact it should be a 10 mins procedure with mild discomfort when removing it.

Mine was different because cervix was posterior and very high; the doctor couldn't reach my cervix and he was digging like he was digging for gold. That was the pepper o - It was so uncomfortable.

When he Finally reached the cervix , baby's head was in the way. We had to try 3 different times until he finally gave me a sedative to knock me out.

On the average the procedure is pretty swift and just mildly uncomfortable.

Congrats o. I'm sure your mind is at rest now. I didn't stay at the hospital for that long after cerclage o. Did mine on a Wednesday and was discharged on Saturday.

Runsaway thanks for that info on when your cerclage was removed. My doc says mine would be removed during CS at 38 weeks. I'm just scared of what if I start contracting before then. It is well

Wow, didn't know people stayed in the hospital for that long after placement.

Stayed one night for monitoring only. My doctor had to speak with insurance company that was insisting that cerclage is an outpatient procedure.

Was yours shirokdah? I Got McDonald which was a pretty short procedure to place in under GA but I saw pepper during the removal.

Praise the Lord with me mamas!!! Had my prince today at 8.05am via VD, weighing 3.6kg with a little tear. God made it easier than my first . BS coming later.

Safe delivery to other August mamas yet to offload, our God is on the throne!!!

Am happy to announce the birth of my charming little prince,he wowed many and charmed me with his beauty, may his name alone be praised. Gave birth on 16th.
Mother and son doing very well.i was still hoping for my surprise twin to show up ,but it didn't come through.

I'm also a bit reluctant to post such on fb not really because I'm trying to forget( because u can never really forget) the incidence, but because people are so judgemental. somehow people usually think it must hv been something u did in the past that is responsible, maybe previous abortions, STDs, etc. Even though it's not d case. I just don't want anybody judging me jare

My colleague at work has been a blessing here. She had shared her pregnancy journey with me in the past and that made it easy for me to go to her when I had my miscarriage. She understands perfectly that sh*t happens and was able to handle the conversations with insight, kindness and empathy.

It is a difficult journey to go through alone and it helps to know and connect with people who have similar journeys or challenges. I hope and pray we all find the someone to confide in and to comfort us.

Washing baby cloths... when i mentioned it to my friend a mother of 3, she laughed n fell off her chair saying its for ok cloths. .. i tried explaining why i need to wash n she still teases me with it till today.

I am with you o. I washed all new clothes I hope to use for 0-3 months - removed from the packets and washed before packing in hospital bag/ drawer. Who knows how the clothes were transported, packed or how long they were stocked for.

Help, I am bored. Rethinking taking maternity leave so early but I can't go back to work. Even my colleagues dey fear to carry me go meeting before water go break for client office or I go born for customer meeting room. Tired of watching tv and there are so many novels I can read. It is so bad I am now reading Anna karenina that I have avoided for years.

To your cerclage question, I don't know o- mine was an emergency one done just before 24 weeks cutoff for my hospital.

Sugah, team pink for twin tower Remembrance Day. Don't like the date that is why I'd don't like saying it

Read of your birthing position and googled some with interest; it makes absolute sense to work with gravity like you did. But I have requested epidural in my birth plan/request so I will be on my back. If I however don't get epidural for any reason, I will make sure to keep your BS in mind and give it a try.

Mamas with hard stools/ constipation,

After episiotomy (birthing 1st child) and after cerclage placement in this pregnancy, Dr prescribed 15ml of Lactulose solution twice daily to help bowel movement. He however mentioned that Lactulose requires you to drink lots of water as it works by drawing water into colon in order to soften stool.

Pls note that I am only speaking of my own experience and no necessarily prescribing same for you

Please do not use breasmilk as it is not safe.

Just dip cotton wool with water to clean it, it will go on its own.
