It's too early pls dear, calm ursef ok,lyk we said God's gat u. Y wil a Dr send u 4dat knowing fully well dat it's too early. Pls dnt panic ok.
Hello sweetestmum,

I agree with beyedew - it is too early for a scan to pick up anything. A blood test is more accurate at this stage and can help you determine how pregnancy is progressing. You can take another blood test in 3/4 days to see if your hCG level has doubled or at least increased significantly - that will give you an indication of how you r progressing.

Try the scan again at 7/8weeks.

Sticky dust to you.

All the best.

Hi beyedew,

Give the breast milk (BM) therapy a try. Used it for pink eye and unstuffing blocked nose when I was nursing my first child and it worked.

Hand express a few drops into a spoon when you r ready to use. One or two drops into the eye, and 2 or 3 drops into blocked nose did the trick.

Pls use fresh breast milk and not stored/ frozen BM.

Hope your ds feels better soon.

Hi Mam,

You can try using Apple cider vinegar on your face; google it pls. That is what I use at the moment (in addition to eliminating dairy from my diet), and i have stopped breaking out.

How you find something safe that works for you.

Hello mamas,

Second time sept mom posting for the first time, I have been peeping since May /June but since mat leave is starting in one day , I now have time to post and participate in this lovely tread- yippee!!!

Prompted to post cause of the following people:

raptor2- God will perfect your testimony in Jesus name.

Iyabetajos- my mantra during last miscarriage was 'this too shall pass". Pls allow take heart and tap into raptor2 testimony. It is a glib to say it but this too shall pass. My prayer is that God almighty will turn your mourning into dancing and he will lift your sorrow (Ron kenoly)

Also to respond to the mamas who have questions about cerclage.

Had an emergency cerclage at 23w5d due to funneling; I had about 1.5cm in total left of my cervix length. I also had irritable uterus which meant I was constantly contracting from about 14 weeks. Guess that contributed to the cervix funneling.
Anyway, did the cerclage under GA as I really didn't want to look at the dr and his team tugging away at my inners for however long the cerclage took. Stayed in the hospital overnight for monitoring in case of PROM or premature labour. Dr also started me on p17 injection till week 36 along with nifedipine for contractions. Cerclage to be removed tomorrow with a short stay in the hospital to see if cervix dilates or not. Hospital bag will be packed today just in case.

@ itissettled3
1. Love pepper too as it helped with MS but try not to over do it as most people suffering from MS eat less and the pepper can aggravate ulcer or similar conditions.
2. Was on Paludrine for first baby and this pregnancy too from 8 weeks. Paludrine is a prophylactic that stops malaria parasite from multiplying in your blood stream thus keeping you free from malaria. I could not use fansidar and the likes due to sulphate allergy hence the Paludrine. Totally safe for me and had no side effect or drug aftertaste what so ever
3. Not harmful but as other mamas said already, make sure you catch up on your rest during the day. 7-8 hour minimum recommend.
4. Pls do not try no-carb diet o......... You can try clean eating, but do not eliminate carbs from you diet. Baby needs it as much as you do -after all baby is not on a diet and is expected to grow week on week as is your uterus, blood volume, breast, (and nose) if you are like me. I support the idea of consulting a nutritionist if you have health conditions that requires careful monitoring of carb intake.

Happy bumping all.
Christianity EtcRe: Tithes, Offerings And First Fruits - Do They Apply To Us As Christians? by runsaway: 4:45pm On Apr 18, 2012
Reflect on all the discuss in this thread in the light of 1 Corinthians 8 (New International Version)

1 Corinthians 8

New International Version (NIV)
1 Corinthians 8
Concerning Food Sacrificed to Idols
1 Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that “We all possess knowledge.” But knowledge puffs up while love builds up. 2 Those who think they know something do not yet know as they ought to know. 3 But whoever loves God is known by God.[a]

4 So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that “An idol is nothing at all in the world” and that “There is no God but one.” 5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”), 6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.

7 But not everyone possesses this knowledge. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled. 8 But food does not bring us near to God; we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do.

9 Be careful, however, that the exercise of your rights does not become a stumbling block to the weak. 10 For if someone with a weak conscience sees you, with all your knowledge, eating in an idol’s temple, won’t that person be emboldened to eat what is sacrificed to idols? 11 So this weak brother or sister, for whom Christ died, is destroyed by your knowledge. 12 When you sin against them in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. 13 Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother or sister to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause them to fall.

my 2 cents

Accommodation

I dont like the idea of moving to cheaper accommodation cause your family is actually going to increase (new wife and baby).  I want to assume you have other savings/investments apart from the severance pay, you can also sell ur car and buy something cheaper & more fuel efficient to pay your rent instead of moving to cheaper accommodation . So go ahead renew ur rent and work with the remaining 500k

Work

I like the idea of the mechanic workshop and auto-part store - hire a couple of mechanics, electricians and panel beater and open a garage( their wages will be percentage based).  You dont have to do any of the dirty work but if your engineering is sound they wont be able to bu--sh--t  you.
You will be incharge of diagnosis, managing the guys who work in the workshop, customer relations and drawing business.

Farming too is a good idea - mechanized farming. Look into it - its serious money

Pregnant Madam

Dont just put wedding plan on hold, cancel it completely. Get your money back from as many vendors and aso ebi peddlers as possible and do a registry wedding instead.

Registry wedding shouldn't cost u more than 50k in all (25k for licenses and fees and settlement , explain ur situations to all those mamas who tax at the registry so they can slow down for you) and 25k for miscellaneous expenses.

------------------------------------------

Most important is that  you prepare your mind to make this a turning point in your life for better. Every decision you make from now on should be one that will make you look back on the sack as the best thing that ever happened to you. It is possible my brother - I have seen people who thank God that they were sacked a few years back. That will be your testimony too in Jesus Name. What wass meant for shame and dishonourwill be for rejoicing and honor in your life  - Amen

start in a small company where u are likely to get a lot of responsibility. small enough to have vacant post on top of the ladder for you to be promoted rapidly so that if u have too jump to a much bigger company u will be entering at management level. i work in a small firm now and the job challenges me everyday cause there is no one else to do it, i do it and in a few days i have more experience than several management trainees who have been working for a year.

indomie is the best in the market now and anyone that has to smuggle it into boarding house dorm can tell u that, its the only noodles u can soak and eat, i used to do it when i was in secondary skool grin

mime or meemee or mimi, or whatever they call it is disgusting, i am not choosy when it comes to food but mimee cant been eaten by anyone with taste buds, those people should just sell their plant & equipment to indomie so that they can make more indomie noodles!

RUN YOUR MOUTH AT UR OWN DETRIMENT
[/size]

you are on your own after this

your congregation is in tens of millions, now assuming you hold a service for them once every month and you get almost a million in attendance, do u keep them out in the open under the sun and in the rain when you have a couple billions in your account ---NO
you hold a meeting each year with millions in attendance- 3 million and still counting. do you keep the millions in the cold over night for a vigil? NO

what do you do? you build an auditorium to house them, one big enough for a million people. and u give them basic necessities such as chairs, fans, bulbs, PAs, toilets etc.

now mathematics starts.

a million 'okplast' chair at one thousand naira is how much
1 000 000 * 1 000 = 1 000 000 000
thats one billion for those of you who can't count.

bulbs, fans at half a billion or there about
cement at half a billion or there about
keep counting and you will be surprised that they spent less than 8 billion.

everywhere around the world, if you want quality software at a good price you go to the Indians
same thing for construction, if u want quality structures at an affordable price you go to the Chinese.
who were you expecting them to give the contract to? the thieves Nigeria contracted the Benin-ore road to or 'ogroma' who did ogun state road and the road was full of portholes before a year was up.

a humble man exhibits common sense in all his doings and all you guys can do is criticize him and rain abuses on him. I am sure he doesnt need me to fight for him and I am not going to. God will fight his battle

And redeem wasn't founded by Pastor Adeboye, There was redeem b4 Pastor Adeboye and there will be redeem after Pastor Adeboye as long as the leaders and the church as a whole can be obedient to the voice of God despite what ignorant people who don't know how to do common arithmetic on a calculator say.
