Booktree:I will have to research #9 on the list. I have never heard about it and a lot of things about it doesn't sit right with me. If anyone knows more about it they can please share. Thanks |
NORSYK:This is what happens when we turn our NASS to retirement home for people that had opportunity to impact positively on the lives of their people and yet fail badly at it! All of a sudden you now know that poverty is everywhere, I guess you didn't see that when you were governor! When you were busy spending limited state resources on expensive xmas tree and inflated contracts, you didn't know you needed to tackle poverty. When you factionalized the party you rode to prominence all in the hopes of installing your son-in-law as your successor, you didn't know your party could lose the election. True leaders are selfless, Nigerian leaders are selfish; and you Mr senator are a true Nigerian leader! Abegi, enjoy your wealth for one corner, and let the people see way to hopefully find leaders that truly have their interest at heart! |
obembet:The problem is not the debt Mr Minister! The problem is that we are borrowing to pay for N5 Bln in official vehicles for NASS, N37 Bln in Renovation of the NASS! How is that adding to national development sir? It is ok to borrow money to start a cassava farm, or mechanic shop, but only a fool and one that intends to leave nothing but heartache for his children unto the 4th and 5th generation, the fool whose children will inherit whirlwinds, borrow huge sums of money to paint his house!!! |
GEEBITE:Off course, why would you expect any less from the president of AfDB! He's probably met and dealt with global leaders both in finance and diplomacy. But does anyone feel like we might be the next President? #Justsaying. |
Adekdammy:Honestly, there's no way the sharia laws and their current implementation does not infringe on the constitutional rights of Nigerians! What constitution allows for the creation of a parallel constitution? So if the Delta State Assembly passes a bill that gives them full control of all resources in their state, will that be deemed constitutional because that's what the Deltans want as expressed through their constitutional and democratically elected officials? |
Godoverevery:Guy, will you sharaaaap your mouth!!! Did the article say he was charged with prostitution or soliciting prostitutes? Did the article say anything about prostitution? What nonsense, If you guys want Theocracy, then practice Theocracy! Nigeria is a secular state, and as long as that remains so, they should release the guy and issue an official apology, because from that article the man broke no law by being in a room with three consenting adults. #effingbananarepublic! |
I might be wrong, but from their actions of late, these pair look like they are willing to raze the barn (Edo State APC) in order to get a second term. Their actions of late smack of utter desperation, and a cry for attention of the national (Presidency) party bigwigs. The suspension of the National party chairman--that just delivered the presidency against all odds, and political in-fighting that was epitomized by the seemingly well-orchestrated and choreographed formation of a political faction (R-APC), and the mutinous NASS leaderships headed by Saraki and Dogara--appears more like a "kitchen sink" attempt at best, or on the flip side, a middle finger to the party's leadership all the way to the President! It appears the only support they have might just be PMB's "slow to anger or make pronouncement" demeanor. That will be the only explanation for how a ward chairman can suspend a national party chairman that just got a "vote of confidence" from the NEC and NWC of the party, for anti-party activities! PMB needs to make it known whether or not the party chairman has his support publicly, because no organization can stand the test of time without order. This so called charade of suspension is akin to the IG and Force headquarters clearing you after investigation, only for the constable to find you guilty as charged! If Oshiomhole prevails when it's all said and done, then party supremacy will be established in the APC. If Obaseki prevails, then it's only a matter of time before the fate that befell the PDP meets up with the APC! |
