There are other states where the teachers do not strike but where roads and other amenities are built. He did not achieve anything in doing that.

There is no excuse for the state that Asaba is in, none. The amount of money that has been wasted should have turned that place into a town to rival Calabar, instead it is on par with places like Yola for deprivation.

Warri should be one of the great cities of Nigeria, rivaling Port Harcourt. What is it today? All that money that Ibori spent for his frivolous reasons could have been better used.

You are willfully ignoring all the money that was wasted abroad by Ibori, why? Could he not have used all that money to develop his own home? What kind of personenriches another man's home and leaves his own looking like a used toilet bowl?

I don't care if politicians step on the toes of others, they are there to put in place measures and projects that will improve their environs. The problem is that some steal resources meant to improve quality of life in their locale for their own childish desires - what compounds the problem is that there people will defend them because the politician dashed them a few kobo.
and who said road were not built?

He stole. He took money meant to do long lasting good and used it as gifts.

He enriched his people how?

By giving them handouts?

What happened to ensuring that they had amenities so that they could all grow instead of dolling out money?

You have just exemplified why some people should never hold political office, nor should they ever be allowed to vote. They do not even appear to understand what is in the best interests of the society that they live in.

There's a need to impose a moral aptit tude test for anyone running for elective office and for those that wish to register to vote.

No discipline, no moral sense and no understanding of the role of government - pitiful.

have you been to delta,it's not the most beautiful place, but during ibori tenure, they was never a time teachers went on strike or you heard they was a political misunderstanding, it was during his tenure that the ijaws and itsekiris could use vehicle down to their villages,so many got employment as teachers name it,yes he stepped on toes but he never ate alone.

. when was Tinubu convicted of drug changes? Unlike Ibori, Tinubu has never been convicted of any crime. Ibori is a criminal and convict and I don't consider him a hero we shld stop behaving like hypocrites...ibori is an angel compared to many politicians i knw.his ideology of "chop i chop" won him the heart of the people of delta state.we all knw he got himself into his present predicament;he stepped on too many powerful toes including dat of the president....he even got betrayed by his cousin.i just cant understand why non indigene of delta state keep taking this ibori issue as if it was their money he embezzled.
my brother tell them, many jobless became usefull

So now you are espousing the principle of moral relativity.

He didn't steal as much so that means he should be trusted?

This is why I think that democracy (or at least universal/unequivocal suffrage) is a disaster in a nation like Nigeria.

People who have not been taught to reason are given a say in matters that they do not understand.
read my quote very well,I didn't say "trust",can politicians be trusted, ministers and other gov who has stolen, where are they?minister of aviation, most of their kids flaunt our nations money, how many have been arrested, all am trying to say is that he stole n enriched his people......I pray he should be released soon, its all politics

just because he got exposed doesn't mean he's the only person who has stolen, they are hundreds of those has stolen more than that but they are not in prison, its all politics

only in Nigeria that criminals are considered as Heroes
Whatever your view is,please,he's indeed a hero,no gov of delta had met up with his standard,I'm a living testimony of those whose life he changed,he might have stolen every politician has, even you would do the same.
