Lavoca:No, the fans won't see Messi and his useless colleagues to blame o, na EV con be the scapegoat. ![]() |
I find it very amusing... when the team wins, it is the players, when they lose it is EV. Man city vs Leicester... Pep wanted Kompany to pass the ball, what did he do? He ignored and took the bull by the horn, why? Because the matter don pass coach own. He is a player on the field and his actions (or lack of) can affect the game 1000 times more than Pep who is outside. TAA was about to leave the corner kick to Shaqiri, but he changed and took it quickly on sighting the chance. Was he instructed to do that by Klopp? The players on the field have to take responsibility. They have to know what is required in the moment and do it, without even needing to be told. Liverpool just "bullied" and "overpowered" them, plain and simple. No special tactics, no special formula. Barca players needed to grow a pair of balls and man up to the physicality of the game... they did not! |
I still say totally the players' fault. Squarely on their head this loss. They are on the field and can change things. No talking, no cool head, no one taking charge... Imagine if Kompany had listened to Pep and opted to pass instead of shoot, shebi na the same disappointment dem for dey now. |
10Dove:Then the wait will be veru, very long. Even Pep (abi una like fine football pass am) knows when to tell his team bunker down, close up shop and take the needed result.... he doesn't even need to tell dem, dem sabi! |
While I agree that EV has to go... but you can't keep giving a pass to the players. They were on the field getting bullied all over the place like secondary school kids playing against a pro side. Haba... reason am na! |
BykeLaByke:Yeah. EV will go and the next manager will come, instill 'pretty boy football', but this will still repeat itself. Simply because the club (or players) refuse the idea of winning 'ugly' to sink into their head. If they push you, push dem. They kick you, kick dem back. That is all this game was all about... or they came to anfield expecting open, shakara footie!? Believe me you, if this was Real Madrid of last season, no matter how bad things dey, dem go still qualify... why!? Because dem know the 'koko' and will do the needful. FCB neva ready to win UCL! |
Eruditor:I still maintain that no matter the system, this game needed 'fighters' and 'grafters'. Liverpool were very physical, so man up and face them with physicality too. So many 50-50 challenges lost, that is unacceptable. Dem neva ready to win the UCL! |
10Dove:Oga, na the truth. If u no fit score, u no go defend ni... or na coach go come block the goal for dem ![]() |
chrisley024:I tire oh. |
BykeLaByke:I disagree... This one is on the players. Can't keep blaming the manager. It just felt like how Man Utd used to 'bully' Arsenal back in the day. They just kept being pushed and kicked around without putting up a fight! |
Eruditor:I agree. Barca go still score ![]() |
Arthur for Vidal... I dunno. I probably would have taken Busquets off instead! |
Barca are gonna be better off attacking down the Semedo-Roberto axis. Bar a moment of magic that is where the opening for a goal is! |
Already you can 'see' Vidal in front of Alba. Terrible mistake by EV, the switch could have been made at the interval. |
Eruditor:I agree. It is a funny irony that it could end up being to Liverpool misfortune that they are at home. |
Eruditor:Beyond that. See how easy Liverpool win the second balls on Alba side. The second goal, ball was literally taken off Alba's toes, no fight. A Vidal on that side and the physical battle will be better! |
Its a 1-leg game now. Barca still got it! |
Isomerizm:Thats where the problem is! |
I said it. Put some protection in front of Alba! |
BykeLaByke:Well. That is what a manager is paid for. Re-jig it if Klopp responds with a counter move. Most Liverpool threat comes from Alba wing because Coutinho is not very strong. Vidal will really 'upset' their rhythm there. Semedo and Roberto together are formidable both in defense and attack! |
BykeLaByke:Nah, just do like the first leg, go 4-4-2... Coutinho off. Put Roberto in midfield, Semedo in his place and take Vidal over to the other side in front of Alba. |
BykeLaByke:It will help if the others just take the shot at goal rather than be looking for Messi to lay ball to! |
Nothing dey happen jor. Barca got this under control! |
simonjassy:At the end of the day, the record books will only show WHAT YOU WIN, not HOW YOU PLAYED! |
jpmoriarti:I am not being over-confident or saying Liverpool do not have firepower, but the Barca players equally know what is at stake (especially after the debacle in Rome) and for some reason, the abilties of LFC is being grossly overrated... Nothing dey happen jor, I stand by my comment 100%. This one is now a "dead-rubber"! |
simonjassy:Along with "ghen-ghen-ghen", "pace-pawa-and-pashunate-pressing" and trophylessness... they have been transferred permanently to Liverpool now. Go and subscribe to their channel if that is what you are interested in ![]() |
So some pipu still dey believe sey Liverpool can come-back... oruweh ![]() If Barca can play this poorly and still hammer dem 3. Just imagine if them bring their A-game to Anfield. Liverpool no go see na'thing. Abegiii, dis one don turn to dead-rubber! ![]() |
But the defending poor sha o! |
Wow. Messi. |
patrickmuf:Many a times i have lectured them here that na result be the koko. How dem take get the win no matter, especially in this UCL of a thing. |
Barcelona rode their luck on this one. The defending is not convincing. Vidal appears a bit more effective on the Alba flank. Roberto should play more in midfield. |
airmark:With the way Sarri dey do... ![]() |
