No 2 . B-Babirusa The babirusas, also called deer-pigs (Indonesian: babi rusa), are a genus, Babyrousa, in the swine family found in the Indonesian islands of Sulawesi, Togian, Sula and Buru. The males have prominent upwards incurving canine tusks, which pierce the flesh in the snout.Babirusas are notable for the long upper canines in the males. The upper canines of males emerge vertically from the alveolar process, penetrating through the skin and curving backward over the front of the face and towards the forehead. The lower canines also grow upwards. The canines of females are either reduced or absent. The preferred habitat of babirusa is tropical rainforest along river banks. It appears that they have been confined to the higher grounds in the interior despite occurring in lowland areas near coasts in the past. They are active during the daytime. Like all pig species, babirusa has an omnivorous diet with an intestinal tract similar to that of the domestic pig. The stomach diverticulum of a babirusa is enlarged which may indicate that it is a ruminant but evidence shows otherwise. Some interesting facts about them: -In Indonesia, the striking appearance of the babirusa has inspired demonic masks -Male babirusas have tusks that grow up through their snout and curve back towards their forehead -In captivity, babirusas can live up to 24 years, although their lifespan in the wild is typically shorter, around 7-12 years -Prehistoric paintings of babirusa found in caves on the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia have been dated back at least 35,400 years (to the ice age Pleistocene period)

No.1. A-Armadilo Armadillos are New World placental mammals in the order Cingulata. They are characterized by a leathery armor shell and long, sharp claws for digging. They have short legs, but can move quite quickly. So far so good, 21 extant species of armadillos have been described all native to the America's. The earliest armadillos appeared in South America during the early Eocene epoch, around 52–55 million years ago.The modern groups of armadillos are thought to have diverged from each other in the Eocene. Recent morphological and genetic evidence indicates that the large glyptodonts and pampatheres, both of which went extinct as part of the end-Pleistocene extinction event around 12,000 years ago, are nested within the diversity of living armadillos. The armor is formed by plates of dermal bone covered in relatively small overlapping epidermal scales called "scutes" which are composed of keratin. The scutes are held together by collagen fibres that can contract to curve following the armadillo's body shape. The skin of an armadillo can glow under ultraviolet light. Most species have rigid shields over the shoulders and hips, with a number of bands separated by flexible skin covering the back and flanks. Additional armor covers the top of the head, the upper parts of the limbs, and the tail. The underside of the animal is never armored and is simply covered with soft skin and fur. This armor-like skin appears to be an important defense for many armadillos, although most escape predators by fleeing (often into thorny patches, from which their armor protects them) or digging to safety. Only the South American three-banded armadillos (Tolypeutes) rely heavily on their armor for protection.

malware:Would you like a fancy parrot pet bird? |
Did you know the Rose-Ringed parakeet also known as the ringed neck parrot 🦜 is one of the popularly known species capable of mimicking human speech. First, the bird listens to its surroundings, and then it copies the voice of the human speaker. Some people hand-raise rose-ringed parakeet chicks for this purpose. Such parakeets then become quite tame and receptive to learning. They have extremely clear speech (cannot be compared to African greys though) and are one of the best talking parrots. It s a medium-sized parrot in the genus Psittacula. One of the few parrot species that have successfully adapted to living in disturbed habitats, it has withstood the onslaught of urbanization and Deforestation. The rose-ringed parakeet/parrot is sexually dimorphic. The adult male sports a pink and black neck ring, and the hen and immature birds of both sexes either show no neck rings, or display shadow-like pale to dark grey neck rings. Both sexes have a distinctive green colour in the wild with a red beak and blue tail, and some selectively bred ringnecks have multiple colour mutations which include turquoise, cinnamon, olive, white, blue, violet, grey and yellow. Rose-ringed parakeets measure on average 40 cm (16 in) in length, including the tail feathers, a large portion of their total length. Their average single-wing length is about 15 to 17.5 cm (5.9 to 6.9 in). In the wild, this is a noisy species with an unmistakable squawking call. Captive individuals can be taught to speak. They are a herbivorous and non-migratory species #aviculture #birdstagram #parrots #ryeo_animal_world #ryeopedia
