Dididrumz: Don't try to shield our governors from the current state of things in this country.
If Governors would do just 40% of what they're actually supposed to do, then Nigeria would have been a better place by now. these particular issues are caused by the president. He increased fuel without consulting the governors on the day of his swearing in. He float the Naira without thinking about the implications, these are the major causes of the current hyperinflation. |

I sincerely believe any Nigerian with foresight will have similar believes. your support or not is inconsequential. I know your type. So protest to you is destruction of lives and property meanwhile your pay master was involved in protest so many times. Please don't quote me as your type disgust me. |

Davidtolu12: The Direct Source Of this Post is Naijanews:
The Federal Government has raised fresh security concern ahead of the planned nationwide protest scheduled to commence on August 1, 2024.
In a statement on Wednesday, the government expressed concern that bandits and insurgents may hijack the much-anticipated demonstrations.
The Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, while briefing journalists and media executives at the Radio House in Abuja on Wednesday, noted that rather than protest, Nigerians should engage the government through another means to ensure the current administration delivers on its campaign promises.
“Government is weary of the dangers associated with protests that are vulnerable to being highjacked by bandits, insurgents and other criminals.
Rather, we request that dialogue should be advanced, and we remain open to such,” Akume said, insisting that protest is not the solution to the challenges, which the President Bola Tinubu-led administration is working to solve.
“It is in the light of these aforementioned situations and accomplishments that we wish to inform you that Nigeria is a work in progress and due course, we shall breathe a sigh of relief. The ongoing economic hardships would abate very soon and we shall all enjoy endless prosperity.
“We, therefore, appeal to Nigerians of whatever persuasion, belief, demography, gender, and status to shun calls for protest against hunger by prioritising peace and progress. For the avoidance of doubts, the government of President Tinubu recognises the right to peaceful protest but circumspection and vigilance should be our watchwords.

That's why it's a very dangerous and suicidal venture to allow una rule, bcus u are too 'over-emotional'. You act first then reason later.
If you knew u'lp still be dragging 'nigerianism' with nigerians why waste the lives of hundreds of thousands of ndigbos, first via ojukwu and now by kanu/ekpa?
what are you saying? Are you okay? Do I sounds like someone you know or someone from the south east? If you want to discuss Biafra or ipob issue look for someone from there or someone knowledgeable about that area. My focus is hunger protest, this protest majorly is all about survival not what doesn't concern me. I understand how you Yoruba and Igbos always fight here and I'm not interested in it. Hunger protest, protest against bad governance is the # tag so don't quote me again to discuss rubbish. |

Freedom of speech does not warrant the attack on the office of the Nigeria president. office of the president my foot. Who gave him the office without the people? People gave him the relevance of that office. A president that preside over the hungry country he is not fit to be call a president. Wasky101: Petrol cost btwn $1 and 1.10 globally converted to N is 1700 at the moment. Meaning if you buy at 800 govt already pays subsidy of 900 per liter for you. If the president reverses the cost of Petrol to 300 now that means govt pays 1400 on your behalf. Questions is how many liters of Petrol do you use daily ? The average big man uses anywhere btwn 150k and 300k liters per week @150 liters the govt pays 190k on his behalf. Now put that side by side with yours. Whose war are you fighting ? some of you are the problem of Nigeria, paid to support government. Do we kill Nigeria and Nigerians to save 1400n per liters or spend 1400 naira per liters to keep Nigerians alive? Countries built refineries within 6 months, he already spent 1 year plus what is his achievement? Purchase of private jet, yatch and luxuries cars.
