Omoawoke: Rubbish!!!! Northerners will protest in their region if they want to. The last protest in Lagos was hijacked by Nnamdi Kanu and his terrorists
Stop spreading fake news!! Go to the oba palace if you have the guts and stop making noise on nairaland, go and meet the oba yourself and tell him that you guys don't even have shame anymore with your tribalistic tendency. The current senator from fct is a Yoruba woman, your president is in Abuja we can decide to send him away as u guys have no shame despite your level of education. Anyone can protest anywhere nothing u guys cowards can do. Violence beget violence. It's possible you're not from Lagos, claiming Lagos. Real Lagos indigenous people don't do ethnic politics |

TopBanter: Who told you Guns will be needed if the protests will be peaceful and genuinely aimed at presenting the agitations of Nigerians to government ?
The reason every sane Nigerian is urging their fellow Nigerians to protest in their region is so that all protests can be as peaceful or as violent as indigenes want it to be. Simple.
If Northerners you seem to admire so much want to burn their region down, then so be it. This is not a revolution to oust the Government in power. Get that clear as such cannot happen in ultra-divided Nigeria. oga tribalist, any where u reside currently is where u can protest. I'm from north central there are Yorubas in my village and are free to protest there so likewise any tribe in your area can as well protest anywhere they are it's constitutional so is not for you to tell people where and when to protest after all your people are in government in US and UK government even forming political party. |

Protest is Nigerians protest and so keep your tribe and religious out of it. I learned Igbo guys said they're not joining and you southwest said you guys are not joining, both of you are cowards if south south decided to join, we and them we will do it and nothing we happen. spy9ja: PLANNED PROTEST: EKO O NI GBAGBAKUGBA
By Olaseni O. Egbeyemi
It has been widely circulated that some groups are planning what they term a "Mega Protest." Every Nigerian, regardless of where they live, has the right to protest against injustice.
The current situation affecting the standard of living is dire and disheartening. The high cost of food and essential items is appalling, and the masses are suffering.
It is often said that a hungry man is an angry man. People are genuinely hungry and angry. When pushed to the brink, they are likely to react in ways they may not be able to control.
We have witnessed both peaceful and violent protests in Nigeria. The last End SARS protest was particularly intense and destructive, resulting in significant loss of lives and properties. During that protest, organized by the youths, several lessons were learned by the organizers, the government, and the general public. Unfortunately, some elements used the protest as a cover for vindictiveness and the destruction of government and private properties.
In the end, it was revealed that the protest had sinister motives with political undertones.
The regrouping of certain elements in and around Lagos to organize another protest is uncalled for. Yes, the masses are hungry and angry, but it is alleged that some individuals, mainly from a specific section of the country, are calling for these protests as a continuation of their unfinished End SARS agenda, which caused chaos in parts of the country.
Anyone willing to protest should do so in their states of origin. "Our Lagos" is a center of excellence, not a center of destruction.
The Lagos State Government, security agencies, and responsible citizens should condemn and prevent these plans. Many have come to Lagos seeking greener pastures and have found success here. Destroying Lagos or targeting properties for destruction should not be tolerated.
The efforts of government to alleviate this suffering should be supported and encouraged, not called into question with another destructive protest. Nigeria is not Kenya. Lagos is not Nairobi.
We must protect the Lagos we inherited and continue to prosper in it. We cannot stand by while those who left their villages to thrive in Lagos rise to destroy it.
"Eko o ni gbagbakugba"
Let the protesters go to their villages and protest there, not in "OUR LAGOS." The right to protest is not the right to destroy.
E FI EKO SILE... EKO O NI BAJE, O BAJE TI.
LAGOS IS RISING. when I saw the name of the writer, and I went through the write up, trust me, I wasn't surprised but my biggest pain is that, how can well educated and formerly detribalized region relegated themselves to this level because of the aspiration of one man? The destruction Tinubu did to Yoruba race it will take years to solve. The hated for other tribes is alarming. I was in Lagos during elections I and my wife was not allow to vote because we both looked fair, even with much explanation that we are from middle belt we were not allow to, but today only senator in fct is Yoruba and so called president resides in Abuja north central. When north will come for you guys, you will beg for help from Igbo and south south if you can't love your neighbor, is it us from north you will love? Soon you will be left alone. These politicians are friends across board but foolish tribalistic and religious forks are given them chance to suffer everyone. If their is protest, I will gladly join, if I'm in Abuja or Lagos I will join nothing will happen. |

FromZeroToHero: There's this school in my area that started in 2017 with a small bungalow. Before it was just a Nursery and primary school but as of today the building is already a 4 storey building because they now have both secondary school.
From the look of this building you will know that its a disaster waiting to happen. There are visible cracks around the building which they always use plaster and paint to cover. I want to report it to the appropriate authority but I don't know how to do so.
File Photo used for illustration before you report, before sure is a structural defect, not all cracks are defects per se. Maybe you snap the building and post it here |
