cbrass: What is social protection program, that's ambiguous. Why can't they just be honest that the money will be relooted What the recessionist actually mean is that Abacha loot will be use to pay N5,000/month to Almajiris. That is what they call social protection - rewarding laziness through welfarism and stipends. Yet some people wonder why the country fell into recession. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: America Reduces Its Contribution To UN’s Annual Budget By $285m by Saaruman(m): 3:34pm On Dec 27, 2017 |
iliyande: The abolition of UN is very very feasible
UN is a failed organisation already but trying to form jagaban in voting against its sponsors:
It is becoming clearer every day that the UN Security Council has failed?
Is it the same that failed the Syrian people and were unable to end all the atrocities in Syria? Or Were they not aware of Rahinga crisis? Or even that of Yemen? The civil war in Yemen that has already killed more than 12.000, mainly by the Saudi-led coalition, displacing millions and destroying most of the nation’s infrastructure. It has also left some 21 million people dependent on foreign aid to survive. Out of 27 million people in Yemen, 20 million are starving, including 400,000 children, and some 2.2 million are in need of urgent care.
Come to talk of Libya that was invaded by the same member states when the body clearly voted against invasion, consequently creating what is now call 'Black Slave Trade'. Well said! UN is just another hypocritical organization. UN is the number 1 silent supporter of Terrorist activities worldwide. |

They say when you repackage and repeat a lie over and over and over again, people will believe it as the truth. Same thing was done with buhari's so called integrity. Only a Zoo like Nigeria will you find a situation where a person will cheat on his age to gain advantage and be called man of integrity. Buhari lied under oath and he was rewarded with integrity. If one is not honest with his true age, how can he be honest with Nigerians? Yet he claims to be praying 5 times a day? So much for a Zoo. |

AZeD1: Dude you are asking me questions you should ask your rep. I don't care about Buhari or GEJ. You all in this politics section think everybody is either a GEJ supporter or a Buhari supporter.
News flash bro, I don't care about both of them. Where you not the one shouting that NNPC is it's own govt, autonomous and hence doesnt submit its budget to parliament? If NNPC is autonomous of govt control under buhari's govt with leverage to spend monies at will - including subsidy, why was it a crime for NNPC to be autonomous during GEJ'S govt? |

EternalTruths: Pls tell me aka One Family.
You understand the group that respond with that slang once it is mentioned.
pls gist me so that I can tell fellow comrades The only thing I can say is that corruption under buhari in the petroleum sector has taken a new dimension, worst than anyone can imagine! In short, buhari and his people (north) has turned NNPC into their family business, just like they did with CBN, result of which was the multiple foreign exchange scam that engulf the whole country as was confirmed by former CBN gov sanusi. Keep observing developments in the petroleum sector especially NNPC and you will see for yourself what is about to happen. |

AZeD1: What's my business with that? All I am interested in on this thread is to educate peeps like you on the difference between the FG and NNPC. Before 2015 election, buhari made an allegation against GEJ's govt that NNPC under PDP govt is operating two accounts to commit acts of looting and embezzlement. Buhari went on to say if elected, he will reform NNPC and make it more transparent. Now with this statement by vice President that NNPC bares the cost of fuel subsidy not fg, do you agree with buhari allegations against GEJ that NNPC operate two accounts? Does the vice President's statement lays credence to the fact that NNPC still operate two or more accounts under the so called saint govt If yes why continue with what they call scam during the last govt? Is this how the plan to change Nigeria? |

AZeD1: Too many illiterates on this thread. All revenue generating agencies return a percentage to the federation account while they spend the remaining.
If the VP says NNPC is paying for it, then it's coming from their share of revenue generated.
Also the NNPC does crude oil swaps.
If you've worked in a big company, you'd know departments have budgets and they kind of spend it in different ways. I thought vegetable govt said crude oil swap was scam? Why continue with what they call scam? Buhari terminated GEJ's crude swap (a system that largely contributed to stable supply and availability of fuel) calling it a scam, only for the same man to go back to his vomit just like fuel subsidy This govt is rudderless!!! |
