LIB exclusively gathered that the incident happened on Saturday, November 12, at the popular Alafia busstop, Orile. According to residents of the area who spoke to LIB, the lynched man was a notorious thief in the area and he and his gang had tried robbing a woman of her valuables but met his waterloo when he was caught by a Hausa man who refused to let him go even though he stabbed him. Others gathered and the young man was lynched. Jungle justice should never be an option no matter the crime committed and those involved should be brought to book. From LIB's investigations, it doesn't look like the police are even interested in the matter because the guy is a criminal and in that Alafia area criminality and killing of criminals is common practice. A lot of people in the area refused to speak to LIB for fear of being attacked because the place is a very notorious zone as killings, robbery and cult operations are normal occurrences in the area. A woman who preferred to speak under anonymity said: "The incident occurred on Saturday morning, the boy who is between 20-25 years is a notorious thief in the area. The Hausa man who caught him has been targeting him for a while as he is tired of his notorious activities. So that Saturday morning, the boy and two of his friends robbed a girl of her bag and phone but was caught by the Hausa guy who insisted that he would be killed after they stabbed him. Two of his friends ran away but the Hausa man held on to the guy even as he stabbed him, and insisted on lynching him. That day wasn't his first time of stealing but that was his last day." Another resident of the area who identified himself as Ike, said he wasn't there when it happened but according to the stories he heard the guy 'robbed a lady in the early hours of Saturday, although I was not there when they burnt him, but when I came back I saw the remains of him. They said he robbed a lady of her hand bag.' 'They were three that robbed the girl, but one Hausa man that saw them robbing her attempted to help and eventually got hold of one them, before the other two started stabbing him, they even used bottle on him sef.' 'The Hausa man was adamant, very very adamant that even with his last strength he didn’t let go of the thieve, they even said the hausa man swear say even if them kill am him nor go leave the boy, even as blood started rushing out from his body, him nor gree let the guy go.' As people started coming that's when the other two robbers left the boy and ran away. So when they caught him they beat him up mercilessly and then burnt him According to eye witness reports, the Hausa man said he even knew the guy that was lynched, and that he had been targeting him for a long time. 'But I nor go lie ooo, the Hausa man know him, him don dey target am since…." Another resident who preferred to be anonymous said: 'All i know is that I came to my shop and heard that someone was lynched. The corpse has been there since that day. It was today an ambulance came and picked up the body.' A Hausa guy who works around the crime scene said the Hausa guy who insisted the thief must be killed was stabbed initially by the thief and his friends, this made him angry prompting him to insist that he must kill the man even if it means he would die too. "He dey give am money N200, N300 make him go chop free am but him no go gree. That Saturday, as him thief, the Hausa man come catch him and his friends, he come stab the Hausa man before the Hausa man begin beat am people come gather as he they beat am. They come put am tire, pour am petrol na so he die. Ambulance come today come carry am" LIB visited the Nigeria Police Force Divisional Headquarters, Orile-Igamu, Lagos to ascertain if any arrests had been made but the DPO said 'she isn't aware of the case.' and that LIB should go contact the Lagos State Police PRO if we needed information. I'm still praying this didn't happen in Lagos, or even in Nigeria, but just in case it really did, the police needs information. You can't burn a child to death for any reason whatsoever and not be punished by our creator. There will be punishment here on earth too. So anyone who has any info should please contact our police. source: http://www.gidiceleb.com/2016/11/police-needs-your-help-for-exact.html

Over 40 people including children have been reportedly killed by suspected herdsmen in Chawai Chiefdom, Kamaru Ward in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Sunday, November 13th. About 45 houses were said to have been razed in the attack. The State Government in a statement issued by Samuel Aruwan, spokesman to Governor Nasir el-Rufai, condemned the attack, describing it it as barbaric conduct by people who are opposed to peaceful and harmonious living by communities. The government stressed the urgency for peace-building and enhancement security in the area. It said emergency relief for survivors had been ordered along with enhanced security. In his reaction, the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU) urge the state government to fund a formidable joint military operation that would flush out murderers. The national Chairman of SOKAPU, Solomon Musa, a lawyer, alleged that some powerful people were sponsoring terrorists to eliminate the people. "It has now become abundantly clear to even the worst skeptics that Southern Kaduna has become a killing field, where genocide is taking place unabated," Musa urge the youths to never take the law into their hands no mater the provocation. Christian Solidarity Worldwide, Kaduna posted the photos on Facebook, yesterday, November 15th. See the post and photos below. Viewers discretion advised. "The world need 2 know this that 2day in Nigeria we live in a society where injustice 2 humanity have become d right of some people above some, Which is unacceptable. This evil happened on sunday 13/11/16 in a broad day light by the fulani herdsmen killing more than fourty (40) innocent and peaceful people at kigam village and environs of chawai chiefdom, Kauru LGA of kaduna state, Nigeria. Over 30 houses were also burned down by them. Our people are known 4 there peaceful way of life and accommodation not until when the fulani herdsmen came in the name of grazing in our land which they were accepted peacefully not knowing they are CANCER with an evil agenda supported by there unknown big brothers 2 invade, displace our people and take over our lands for NO reason. But, For whatever reason they may have 4 attacking n killing our people they will never succeed in taking over our God given land because he that is IN us is greater than whosoever that is with them. Darkness can never win against light And one day market will end for the Bamboo's. God's grace. We call on Goverment 4 quick justice and 2 provide the needed security, road network, GSM service and other social facilities that are lacking in the area. May the soul of our departed brothers and sisters RIP" source: http://www.gidiceleb.com/2016/11/graphic-photos-over-40-people-including.html

Quilox night club has finally released an official statement on the clash between Oritsefemi and a bouncer last week Saturday after the musician had told his own side of the story. Read below: “In the early hours of the 12th of November 2016, an unfortunate incident occurred between music act Oritsefemi and a member of the security team at Club Quilox. The incident started at about 2am Saturday morning when Oritsefemi came into Quilox without prior reservations or table bookings. It is important to note that tables are allocated to customers who have made prior paid table bookings in advance of their arrival except such customer is a patron or member of the club and tables are allocated according to availability in such case. However Oritsefemi who did not fall into any of the categories above approached a patron and after pleading was accommodated on patrons table, but with the understanding that other guests of the said patron were still been expected to join the table shortly which Oritsefemi agreed to. It is important to note that this is a table that could only accommodate a maximum of six people. In a surprising turn of events, Oristsemi who was drinking from the patrons bottle, threw caution to the wind by attempting to sit eight of his guests at the table, the surprised Patron strongly rejected such effrontery and invited the bouncer guarding the floor to intervene .The bouncer politely approached Oritsefemi and told him that the Patron who owned the table did not want any of Oritsefemi’s guest joining in as the patrons guests were still being expected. However Oristefemi in a fit of unprovoked rage slapped the bouncer then proceeded to breaking a glass in his hand and stabing him in the eye. Despite his position or the power he thinks he has as a celebrity, this is not an excuse for inflicting grave bodily harm on another human being. The scene quickly became rowdy as other customers rushed to the table and confronted the artist for his violent behavior, our security team quickly stepped in to salvage the situation by carrying Oristefemi out of the club (this is our standard procedure for violent altercations) while other members of staff focused on giving First aid treatment to the bouncer who almost lost his eye and had already lost so much blood. Oristefemi faced by an enraged crowd outside and perhaps realizing the gravity of his offense pretended to collapse. The artist and the bouncer were subsequently rushed to a nearby hospital The bouncer affected insisted on pressing charges as thus he and Oritsefemi went from the hospital Bar Beach police station, where Oritsefemi accepted his offense and pleaded for mercy, he was granted bail at 12pm on the 13th of November and advised to report back to the station on Tuesday 15th of November 2016. We were hesitant to release a press statement as several well meaning people have attempted to intercede on behalf of the artist but after his malicious and grossly false account of the events that occured, it is only fair that we defend the integrity and ethos of our organization. IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE ARE – Quilox is the number one luxury lifestyle brand in Nigeria, all areas of our establishment are premium as thus the allegation of denying access of certain people to certain areas is completely unfounded. this particular issue happened on a table of six at the upstairs part of the club not in the entire VIP area. – Quilox treats all our patrons with the utmost respect and dignity, our professionalism and uncompromising customer service is what has kept us at the peak for so long, the poorly worded statement by Oritsefemi’s media team claiming our CEO made derogatory remarks towards our loyal clientele(A list celebrities) is reasons best known to him, because instead of taking responsibility for his actions, him and his management are looking for artists support, and to what cause? – Club Quilox did not press charges against the artist despite his unruly behavior at our establishment, however the bouncer in question has signified his intention to pursue his fundamental human rights due to the grave bodily harm that befell him. – The music industry veteran – Sound Sultan is a member of the Quilox family and cousin to our CEO as thus it is impossible for him to be treated in the manner Oritsefemi implied, as a matter of fact he was one of those who quickly diffused the situation before it got out of hand – Club Quilox prides itself on the premium luxury lifestyle experience we provide our patrons, we abhor violence and do not support or condone any such acts on our premises. – Oristefemi did not report ANY missing jewelry in his statement at the Bar beach Police Station neither did he make any reports to the management of Club Quilox Attached are graphic pictures and a video of the bouncer Oritsefemi assaulted and also a picture of Oritefemi at the hospital before he was taken to the police station, with the said weapon included. We thank our members and patrons for their unrelenting loyalty and custom as we assure them of their continued safety and comfort at Club Quilox Jessica Ulo Oputa PR and Marketing Manager Quilox ” Source: http://www.gidiceleb.com/2016/11/quilox-releases-official-statement-and.html
