mushroomFarm:
So when it was time for swimming, I declined. Recently a Nigerian died in another city. He drowned in a river. He was a good swimmer but in Russia, the rivers are dangerously cold...one dive and you could start suffering from disorientation, hypothermia, etc before you actually get drowned. Someone here on Nairaland once said 'life has no duplicate is a black man's mantra" this is very correct. But our pastor's wife insisted that I would be very safe if I swim with her. (I never enter river before oooo)
.
.
Na so we enter sha... After few minutes I was already swimming in the deepest part of the river....but she was close by at all times...and sometimes when I dive and don't surge nor emerge quick enough she would swim to my location lol remember I told you the church here shows and practice a kind of love that would start making you wonder if something else is not getting involved. grin
.
.
Well, here is a picture we took before swimming. No mind me...I con wrap my hair grin grin na jjc I be

Politics / Re: Dear Fellow Nigerians, Let’s Discuss Fuel Subsidy by SafariHunter(m): 6:44pm On May 31, 2023
Wordsfrombimpe:
Dear fellow Nigerians,

I hope this message finds you well. Today, I would like to address an issue of great importance to our nation: fuel subsidy. It is no secret that fuel subsidy has been a subject of debate and controversy in our country for many years. As we discuss this matter, I urge you to approach it with an open mind and a spirit of unity, keeping in mind the greater good of our nation.

Fuel subsidy was initially introduced with the intention of making petroleum products more affordable and accessible to the Nigerian people. However, over time, it has become a burden on our economy, draining significant resources that could be allocated to other crucial sectors such as healthcare, education, infrastructure, and social welfare programs.

The truth is that fuel subsidy has been susceptible to corruption, inefficiency, and mismanagement. It has created an avenue for rent-seeking and has not always translated into the benefits it was intended to provide. We need to acknowledge this reality and find a more sustainable and equitable solution.

I understand that the removal or reduction of fuel subsidy can lead to short-term challenges, particularly for the most vulnerable members of our society. Therefore, any decision regarding fuel subsidy should be accompanied by measures to mitigate its impact on those who are most affected. These measures may include targeted social welfare programs, support for public transportation, and investments in renewable energy sources.

Additionally, it is essential that the savings from reducing or eliminating fuel subsidy are reinvested wisely in critical sectors of our economy. We must prioritize diversification and invest in infrastructure, agriculture, technology, and human capital development to create opportunities and foster sustainable economic growth. This way, we can build a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria for future generations.

Change is often accompanied by challenges, but it is through unity, resilience, and a shared vision that we can overcome them. Let us engage in constructive dialogue, actively participate in the democratic process, and hold our leaders accountable for their decisions and actions.

Finally, I want to emphasize that the ultimate goal should be the long-term benefit of all Nigerians. We must strive for a transparent and accountable system that ensures the efficient use of our resources and the well-being of our people.

Together, we can forge a brighter future for Nigeria. Let us embrace this opportunity to build a more sustainable, prosperous, and equitable nation.

Yours sincerely,

[Digital Bimpe ]

💯💯💯 But

Nigerian reality coming soon!!!!

Let's pray/hope for the best .

Education / Re: 25% Requirement: Solve This Mathematics Word Problem by SafariHunter(m): 9:00pm On Apr 19, 2023
The first step to solving this problem is to figure out which States and Territory constitute at least two thirds of the total number of States and Territory.

Since there are 36 States and a Territory, two thirds of that is (2/3) x 37 = 24.67. Since we can't have a fraction of a State or Territory, we round up to 25. Therefore, we need to recruit at least 25 States and the Territory.

The next step is to calculate how many people that represents. We know that there are 100 people in each of the 36 States, which gives us a total of 3,600 people. We also know that there are 120 people in the Territory.

So the total number of people we need to recruit from these 25 States and the Territory is at least 25% of 3,600 + 120, which is:

0.25 x (3,600 + 120) = 930

Therefore, the recruiting firm should employ at least 930 people to meet the requirement of recruiting at least 25% of people from at least two thirds of the States and the Territory.
