tofam3k3: guy i share your sentiments, that is the most brilliant answer. but its true, when your a broke ass, your senseless, you can not make decision of your own, you will be seen as a failure, you will like to seek their consent for their help tomorrow. but when your doing fine, your advice and suggestions becomes the best, if your not the there, the meeting will not be started. they will surely respect whatever decision you make. and for those that keeps misappling bible book of eph 6:1-3 children obey your father and you mother, the forget that there is a condition for the obedience which is IN UNION WITH THE LORD, so if there suggestions is out of line with Gods standards, they should not obey. so if your parents ask you to commit abortion, you will gladly do it abi becouse its from your parents eh? for those that think that parents knows everything good for our welfare, hmmm from experience, they may be wrong, or thier infor may be outdated, or maybe bias, or it may be a story they heard which they never confirmed if it was true. when it comes to the matters of the heart, parents has no right to interfare. days are gone when parents did that, not anymore, unless they will leave with the person the chooses and besides outward appearance can be deceitful, the girl or guy had spent longer time with him or her and therefore should be in the right position to chose whoever she wishes to spend the rest of her life with. 1 Like |

frustratedman: Bros going by your name, I can see your frustrated, but don't you in any way try to mock God or abuse him, he is never the cause of the wicked things around us today, tho he allow them to happen but your anger should be directed to the ruler of the world satan the devil - 1 john 5:19. The bible refers to him at hebs 2: 14, 15 as one having the means to cause death. God cares for you rather and he allows all this for a reason that affects his soverignty |

holatin: Bros don't criticise someone who is trying to abide by the principles of the bible to abstain from blood. Look up for the meaning abstain and you will understand better. Either injecting it or drinking it or eating, they are going in to the system and thereby violating Gods principle to abstain from blood. She loved God more than her life thas why she made that decision. 1 Like 1 Share |

carefreewannabe: studio14: Blackfire: holatin: Am not suprised to hear all these uttrances from you all because long time ago, it was wriiten in the inspired word that senseless one will go about saying stupid things without thinking and to some the truth and principles found in the bible will be veiled among those who are perishing, among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.” Why has you guys enjoyed making a mockery of a religious group that has stand out from the crowd, people who wants to live by bible principles. Why not ask questions where your not clarified than to be making noise. Is a transfusion really the same as eating blood? In a hospital, when a patient cannot eat through his mouth, he is fed intravenously. Now, would a person who never put blood into his mouth but who accepted blood by transfusion really be obeying the command to “keep abstaining from . . . blood”? (Acts 15:29) To use a comparison, consider a man who is told by the doctor that he must abstain from alcohol. Would he be obedient if he quit drinking alcohol but had it put directly into his veins? In the case of a patient that refuses blood, are there any alternative treatments? Often simple saline solution, Ringer’s solution, and dextran can be used as plasma volume expanders, and these are available in nearly all modern hospitals. Actually, the risks that go with use of blood transfusions are avoided by using these substances. The Canadian Anaesthetists’ Society Journal (January 1975, p. 12) says: “The risks of blood transfusion are the advantages of plasma substitutes: avoidance of bacterial or viral infection, transfusion reactions and Rh sensitization.” Jehovah’s Witnesses have no religious objection to the use of nonblood plasma expanders. Jehovah’s Witnesses actually benefit from better medical treatment because they do not accept blood. A doctor writing in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology (June 1, 1968, p. 395) acknowledged: “There is no doubt that the situation where you [the surgeon] are operating without the possibility of transfusion tends to improve your surgery. You are a little bit more aggressive in clamping every bleeding vessel.” All types of surgery can be performed successfully without blood transfusions. This includes open-heart operations, brain surgery, amputation of limbs, and total removal of cancerous organs. Writing in the New York State Journal of Medicine (October 15, 1972, p. 2527), Dr. Philip Roen said: “We have not hesitated to perform any and all indicated surgical procedures in the face of proscribed blood replacement.” Dr. Denton Cooley, at the Texas Heart Institute, said: “We became so impressed with the results [from using nonblood plasma expanders] on the Jehovah’s Witnesses that we started using the procedure on all our heart patients.” (The San Diego Union, December 27, 1970, p. A-10) “‘Bloodless’ open-heart surgery, originally developed for adult members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses sect because their religion forbids blood transfusions, now has been safely adapted for use in delicate cardiac procedures in infants and children.”—Cardiovascular News, February 1984, p. 5. 13 Likes 3 Shares |
Family / Re: BEATING YOUR KIDS; Discipline Or Abuse? by saffrons(m): 7:46am On Oct 23, 2014 |

I think we are all mixing two different things here. There is a big difference between flogging and beating. Flogging is an accepted form of discipline than beating. Beating should be discouraged, it involves using the hand or any close weapon of mass destruction on the child which can hurt or killed even. Inasmuch as we don't want to be too harsh on our children we should not be overly permissive. It does not matter how we flog them but how we administer the flogging. Before flogging them help them to see reason why your flogging them. Don't vent your anger on them. Use kind words to cuddle them back after and show them that you flog them out of love. Don't fail on ur promises, once you promise you will flog them, keep to it, failing to will give them them the impression that my mum always promised to flog me and will not afterward. Those of you guys that said you never flog, we have all seen their good conduct. 1 Like |

Mathew 24: 3, 22- 26 3 While he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence* and of the conclusion of the system of things?”* 22 In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short. 23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look! Here is the Christ,’ or, ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 [b]For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will perform great signs and wonders so as to mislead, if possible, even the chosen ones. Family / Re: Who's Responsibility Is It To Teach Sex Education? Parents Or Schools? by saffrons(m): 8:38am On Sep 26, 2014 |
It is sorely the responsibility of the parents which their creator has already instill in them, God has assigned that duty of caring and teaching their children all that they need to know deut: 6: 6- 8. But most parents has shy away from this God given responsibility in an attempt to make ends meet(ends that never meet), the become pre-occupied with irrelevant or not urgent issues and give little or no time to the needs and attention of their children. The closeness will not be there as the parents will now see the children as a foreign body, that relationship that suppose to exist between parents and children will not be there that instead of the children to confide in their parents, they rather confide in their peers who are as in-experienced as the are, and for sure, it will be a misleading advice indeed. But when parents spend quality time with the children, play with them, always being around them, they see you as a friend, this issue of being shy in spelling out their respective sex organ will not be there, it will even come naturally.be raw with them, Don't just tell them not to do it, emphasize your reasons why it should not be done and the consequences that follows. Schools and peers is not the best place to teach your children such things, their ideas can be distorted, the person teaching is also a human like us or at worst a single or married bachelor/spinster who may not have cultivated the right values and may have engaged in one form of immorality or the other and at such times view them as normal, he or she may not have the freeness of speech like you who is legally married and wants the best for your kids. The best advice and training that one can must receive will and must come from the biological parents of the kids. |
