According to a source, 11.0.12 for November security patch wasn't a mistake. It was sent on purpose to fix the OTA issues on 11.0.11

That's because Xiaomi's Devs keep rolling out the wrong updates. They released MIUI 12 with September security patch alongside MIUI 11 (11.0.11) with September security patch. They were conflicting with each other.

Now they fixed it with MIUI 12.0.2 (November security patch) for those on MIUI 11.0.11 (September security patch) but made another mistake of releasing an OTA update of 11.0.12 (November security patch) to those on 11.0.11.

As it stands now, 11.0.12 users can't upgrade to MIUI 12 via OTA or recovery (the only way out for them is through fastboot ROM of either MIUI 12.0.1 or 12.0.2)

How true is the bolded? I just updated my RN8 to MiUI 11.0.12

The problem is from your recent MiUI or maybe you try to enable the new control panel. It's unable to start some system app. The solution to this problem is to clear the phone data, but you'll need your Google account and an hotspot to start the phone after you clear its data.

Turn the phone completely off. press and hold the power key until it start booting, while booting, immediately press and hold the volume up key until it shows system recovery page. Clear system data.

ND: Use volume up/down key to navigate and power key to select in recovery page

What restriction are you talking about an open source? Android is not restricted, that's why MiUI allows you to record internal sounds on its screen recorder. Only third party app is restricted.
If you meant MiUI 12 copied iOS I agree, but the additional notification panels when you swap down from left top and the control center when you swap from right top is a first mover idea

The camera of the iPhone is better than that of the Redmi, its 12MP, yes, but note that it can shoot videos of up to 4K resolution, 1080p resolution up to 120 fps and 720p up to 240 fps and it has OIS.

Oga MiUI 12 is one of the best out there when you fully switch to gesture mode and the new control panel, although it's similar to iOS and it worth all the hype. The only thing I noticed in MiUI 12 of Redmi 9c I got for someone yesterday is a minor bug that caused MiUI to reboot repeatedly. I had to wiped the phone and this remove the bloatware as well which is a plus for the internal storage. But I must say, the phone is as smooth as flagship

Dimensity 1000 is listed among midrange (not flagship) by MediaTek. For now, MediaTek has no flagship. Although, the Dimensity 1000 can compete with SD and Exynos flagship, but MediaTek never push it as flagship chipset even though it's qualified. Maybe they're trying to be pessimistic about it

If you dey consider to buy Samsung, buying A series including A21s is not is a wise choice. A21s has about 107k score in performance test, this means it isn't suitable for gaming or intensive video editing app such as PowerDirector. With this shortcomings, it's sold for 76k. That money can get you 4/128gb of RN8 or R9 with 16k as change, yet they score above 200k in performance test. If you desperately want to use Samsung brand, go for S or Note series instead

In 2011, Mi a brand name of Xiaomi international officially moved into the electronics phase by the launching of the Mi 2 smart phone running Snapdragon chipset selling 11 million units. This now made Mi a global brand name for Xiaomi as well as it's flagship phone brand name.

Miui is the official Android skin for all Xiaomi devices, since android is open source, you can modify the code to fit any OS of your choice making it versatile. Miui has evolved into its own ecosystem and design ledge.
MiUI is not a company but a software, it is the powerhouse system for all Xiaomi devices and software needs.

It started out as a project using other devices as test grounds by being a custom ROM which could be flashed on any device by phone breakers. After attaining huge popularity the release of Mi 2 made MiUI officially the operating system of all it's devices naturally, but just like sense OS of HTC, MiUI was never monopolized, it was still thrown out to the public to make custom builds and changes staying true to its tradition with the better more optimized and functional versions built solely by Xiaomi which is why we have MiUI 12 today .

Then not to forget Redmi is another brand under Xiaomi which makes entry level and mid range smart phones and have become very popular in African, and global markets which needs are usually mid range and low range . They started In 2013.
