If the smelly criminally minded corrupt Supreme Court have any iota of shame left in them, they would upturn this injustice done to Yusuf of the NNPP or else they should be ready for the revolution that we all crave for which will set our dear Nation on the right track while saving it from the current political bandits at the helms of our affairs.

Give it to Diri the highest rigger to continue with underdevelopment of South South's most abysmally run state where both the people and the political class think alike.

The people of Bayelsa deserves whatever they get from bad governance.

Editorialtimes:
Admiral Usman Jibrin (Retired) Calls for Cancellation of Kogi Gubernatorial Election Whilst Contemplating Legal Action Against INEC Over Ballot Exclusion

12 Nov. 23 - Anyigba, Kogi State

In a surprising turn of events at the ongoing Kogi State gubernatorial election, Admiral Usman Jibrin, the governorship candidate of the Accord is contemplating legal action against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) following the exclusion of his party's name from the ballot paper.

The exclusion of the Accord from the ballot paper in most of the polling units has raised concerns about the fairness and transparency of the electoral process. Admiral Jibrin, a prominent figure in Kogi State, expressed his dissatisfaction with the situation, stating that the omission of his party's name infringes on the democratic rights of the electorate and undermines the principles of a free and fair election.

Speaking at a press conference held earlier today, Admiral Jibrin said, "We are deeply disappointed by the decision of INEC to exclude the Accord from the ballot paper. This not only undermines the democratic process but also denies the people of Kogi State the opportunity to make an informed choice. We are left with no option but to call for the cancellation of election and explore legal avenues to address this injustice."

Accord Party supporters and members have rallied behind Admiral Jibrin, expressing their solidarity and echoing his concerns about the alleged disenfranchisement. Social media has been abuzz with discussions, with many calling for a thorough investigation into the circumstances that led to the exclusion.

INEC, on the other hand, has not released an official statement regarding the matter. The electoral body is expected to address the issue promptly to provide clarity and maintain the integrity of the ongoing election.

Legal experts believe that if Admiral Jibrin decides to pursue legal action, the case could bring to light any procedural irregularities or oversights that may have occurred during the preparation of the ballot papers. The court could potentially order a review of the situation and take necessary corrective measures to ensure a level playing field for all participating political parties.

As the election continues to unfold, all eyes are now on Admiral Usman Jibrin and the Accord Party as they weigh their legal options. The outcome of this situation could have far-reaching implications not only for the ongoing Kogi State gubernatorial election but also for the broader discourse on electoral integrity in Nigeria.

I have never supported APC in any election but I am happy with this outcome. I'm from the South South but I have a big issue with some states like Kogi and Benue where a particular tribe thinks the seat of the first man of the state is their exclusive right.

Ebira is doing to the Igalas what the Igala did to them back to back since 1999 return to democracy until the Ebira got it by divine intervention. Playing ethnic politics in a state like Kogi comes with great consequences and regrets like this. The Benue Tiv people should get ready for a day and time like this when the Idoma by divine mercy will take over the leadership of that state to the glory of God. This election is a clear example. Congratulations to ODODO.

It's natural, where you have a predominant polygamous families, you don't expect women not to buy properties in their own names instead of joint or their husband's name.

For instance, my wife does not buy anything in her name including lands, she either use my name or our son's name to buy it, she wouldn't do that if I have other wives or if I had previously had male children with other women.

APC administration successfully transformed EFCC to something else, outside the main aim and purpose of the organisation. They practically do not go after the political thieves who are the main causes of our economic woes as a nation except for vendetta and political persecution of opposition.

It is a shame that they reduced EFCC to some unserious organisation targeting the youth who are doing all they can to escape poverty through IT.

love how you ignored my very straightforward question and tagged it emotional grin. Jewish have no homeland that's the point. they lost it. At least we agree Israel are fighting Palestine for their land that's common ground at least

It's a shame to think that you support the Arabs to fully take over Jewish homeland because of religion. I'm happy you know that that is never going to work. The Jews are fully back home this time around and nothing can stop them from claiming their ancestral given land. Let them face each other and stop crying, the bigger power will eventually usurp all the available lands are dominate it

So we want to go to who own the land beautiful? Now like you said Israel as it seize to exist a long time ago and were pushed out of the land they conquered very important. Not their homeland but a land they conquered. Now others came and conquered it and eventually Palestine settled there. Made it their home. Several generations of these people lived and tolled this land. Then all of a sudden Israel came back after years with the help of the British I might add who even made it possible. To push these people who all they have ever known is this land as their home. Now on what grounds? On the grounds you conquered it thousands of years ago? Well you lost it and other people took it and made it their home just like you took it and made it yours. Why must it now be yours when neither Palestine nor Israel are the actual owners?

You see the problem. We all know through Nigeria history than many of our tribes travelled and settled where there are now. What happens if people who conquered the land long before our tribes got to our various lands came back. Lets use your tribe for example whatever it is I don't need to know but say your tribe is in this scenario. What do you do? Do you sit down and take it?

For a UN secretary-general to say the attack on Oct 7 didn't happen in a vacuum it says a lot. There isn't a clear cut good or bad guy in this conflict. To say otherwise is to be biased and that's the truth. Look at the scenario I painted on your tribe look at it objectively and remove all bias. What will you do? Will you support your people being forced to leave the only home they have ever known? Or will you agree to live together in the same land like some have suggested or will you agree to divide it into two. And note these people are stronger than you. They have stronger allies, so fighting them in an open war is of no use. Keep in mind these people are also keeping you prisoner. Because the way I have put it now if a Palestine sees this they may come for my head. And they slowly keep taking away your lands your liberties. What do you do? I really want to know.

Remove religious bias, and remove your hatred for Muslims/Arabs if you harbor such at all. I have tried to bring it close to home so you to relate with it more easily. What do you do

You still haven't answered my question, where is Jewish homeland? There is where it is written that the Jews completely left Palestine, they had remnant who stayed and watched over their ancestral land. A sole Jewish state is vital and important like the Arabs have theirs in numbers.

Taking people's home and claiming their most religious sacred temple as Islam's second most important site is a call to anarchy that is now in full display.

If you say the Arabs took over the land through war and what not, the Jews are back to fight and claim as much of the land as possible. It is recognised in international law, lands cab be taken as a spoil of war. Russia did in Ukraine just recently when they took Cremea after waring. The Muslim world is just being greedy to say the least by coveting such tiny land that know belongs to their distant cousins.

If the Palestinians want it back then they should fight for it and as the fight owners are now doing. There is no point being emotional about this. Wars over lands will continue all over the world and innocent human casualty must be recorded. Peace

I haven't seen any Palestine praise Israel on how they treat them. You should check who those people actually are. Its just like say the South African were praising the apartied government that they treat them better than the ANC. Its ridiculous.

And no Palestine don't always attack first thats just a fallacy and you be disingenuous. You haven't heard of settlers violence? I mean you watch Aljazeera and they always tell you that Palestine are always at fault when Isrealis attack them common now. Your theory isn't theorizing.

That being said you don't occupy people's land and expect them to sit down and smile at you? The Palestinians in the west bank dey try to live in peace self but settlers won't let them be. You guys only look at things from one perspective and thats the issue. I am sure you support the South African fight for freedom from the apartied. I am sure you very much respect Nelson Mandela. But please do well to go read on the atrocities the ANC carried out in their fight for freedom. Because its Isreal now we Christians jump and support nonsense. And to top it off these people are Arabs so the label of terrorists is very easy to put on them.

The Arabs own 98 percent of the lands in the Middle East, We all know the Jews are a strong member of the semitic group who we all know originated from the Middle East. Now where is Jewish homeland if you keep calling them out for retaking their original homeland? Where in the Middle East is their original homeland? The Arabs were successful in eliminating almost all the smaller nations of the old Middle East but they couldn't successfully eliminate or assimilate the Jews into them, now they are back fighting for their home land you calling them settlers.

The Jews are about the most documented people on earth, they are minorities scattered across different territories, but we all know every people or race have an homeland, where is the Jewish homeland. Remove Christianity from this topic and let's be factual. You don't convert my land no matter how long and expect my children not to come back for it.

There is no month that passesby that Palestinians don't attack and kill an Israeli, go do more research and you will find out especially on the West Bank axis of Palestine. It's like you are not current. Even US has told Isreal to stop the bombing and US donated $100m for humanitarian supplies for Gaza.

USA opposed the resolution because it lost the vote to get the UNGA adopt its joint draft with Canada to make the UN resolution condemn Hamas and tag it a terrorist organisation. That was humiliating for the US. Remember the UNGA is even holding on US soil o.
US lost big time and China showed them shege.

On your historical claim, please kindly provide proofs of when the UNGA voted against Israel like this and Israel called their bluff and went on bombing for days or weeks after the resolution?smh

It seems you don't know that this resolution is a license for nations to start sanctioning Isreal and giving more support to Hamas. Isreal is a small country of less than 10m , it's not a big country like Russia or China, Iran, Egypt, Nigeria, SA, Turkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Australia, EU, UK, India, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia etc with huge population, huge land mass and rich natural resources deposits .

Sanctions can actually break and weaken Israel. Isreal needs this vital peace and international goodwill the US failed to get it.

please shut up already, you are talking like though you are woke with international politics but you know nothing. Even Aljazeera said the UN resolution is not binding as only the UNDC have that power to stop the bombing but US is there to veto the security Council resolution. This exercise is just a moral exercise and nothing more, it holds no water and yes this isn't the first time the UN is passing a resolution on Israel/Palestine issue but Israel always fail to adhere to any.

Aljazeera runs a propaganda network against the West and Israel in particular. I find their reportage hypocritical on every front. They ignored the Tunisian illegal immigrant terrorist that killed two football supporters in Brussels this week because of what is happening in Gaza but kept hyping and amplifying the child killed in the US.
Israel has done the right thing.
