Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso (LAUTECH) invites all candidates who made LAUTECH as their choice of institution in the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted in May, 2015 to a Post-UTME Screening Exercise between Monday 17 and Thursday 20 August, 2015 at 10:00am. Candidates must have a score of not less than 200 to be qualified for the screening exercise, except for students of LAUTECH Pre-Degree Science Programme for whom a score of 180 is allowed.

Similarly, Direct Entry Applicants who have chosen LAUTECH as their choice of institution in the JAMB application and have a minimum of Upper Credit in ND, Credit in NCE and Lower Credit in HND in relevant subjects are also invited to a screening exercise on Wednesday, August 12, 2015.

Finally, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria broke
the record as being the first Nigerian
university to produce home made cars.
The cars were commissioned this Friday
(13-3-2015) at around 4pm this evening.
The cars were manufactured as a
collaboration between the faculty of
engineering (mechanical engineering) and
shell Nigeria, the cars were named as ABUCAR
1 & ABUCAR 2.

Students sitting for the National Examination Council (NECO) organizedSenior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) will be tested using the Computer-Based Test (CBT) system starting from 2016.

The Chairman of the NECO Governing Board, Dr Paddy Njoku, said this on Thursday during the board's monitoring visit to the Model Secondary School, Maitama, Abuja.


According to him the CBT will be introduced in the coming year.

"We will introduce CBT in papers that need computer in the next exams, but some other subjects are either practical or essay; so you cannot put everything under CBT," he said.

NECO Registrar, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, also affirmed that the Council will use the CBTT system in 2016.

This is coming a week after the Head of National Office (HNO) of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), Dr Charles Eguridu, said it will not be possible to fully adopt the CBT at the moment because of the variables involved.

Listen. Your mum has no right whatsoever to decide who you should love, who you should be with or who you should spend the rest of your live with.

You love this girl and you have been with her for two years. Your mum shouldn't just come from no where and tell you she doesn't like your girlfriend and as so you should end your relationship. That's selfishness.

You are a man and you should be able to make your own choices.
Tell your mum that you love this girl and you want to be with her. Simple.
She should come terms with that. If she is not okay with it, it's her problem.

She was a able to marry your father and give birth to you because she loved him and she decided to be with him.
Now she wants to help you to decide who you should be with?
That's totally wrong.

When I was in secondary school, I used to fight a girl as if we were cat and rat. I was a class higher than her and I being the Senior Head Prefect then had the opportunity to do as it pleased me with my fellow school mates to some extent.
Immediately I finished my secondary school, I just found myself in a relationship with the girl I used to fight back in those days.
I thought it would be very nice to inform my mum of my first and only girlfriend not knowing that reverse was gonna be the case. For no other reasons apart from the complexion of this girl, my mum dislikes the girl but these days shes totally changed her mind. Seeing me with her is a great trouble for.
sincerely, I love this girl from the bottom of my heart. My heart never suggested that I should leave her. We've been together for the past two years now.
