I know some will reprove me saying 'we are all Christians.'
Think: If you marry, will you appreciate if she didn't come to your church? Will it end in happiness? Would you share her beliefs? Even greatly, it will be disobedience to our God. We appreciate marrying people who share our beliefs; it brings happiness and we can avoid marry problems as pre-marital sex, unwanted pregnancies, and STDs.

Next time when you say 'we are all Christians,' do well to be open-minded to ask yourself if your beliefs are the same with ours.

I guess you've met every Kalabari person in the world. I've not met a lot of Kalabari people but few of the ones i met tend not to like being grouped as Ijaw. But they're not forceful or violent about it the way an Ikwerre person would be when referred to as Igbo. Infact, they may not mind it but have something to say about it just like how someone from Asaba may not totally say they're not Igbo but are not so keen on being called Igbo.

Ok. So what do they like being called?

This is not entirely through. I've met with a handful of people from Kalabari that don't like being referred to as Ijaw though not in the same energy that an Ikwerre would deny being Igbo. There are also tons of people from Bonny and Opobo that don't like being referred to as Ijaw even though Ijaws refer yo them as such.

I'm half kalabari how come I have never meet such people,( as you Igbos always claim) don't you think it's strange?

It is that same similarity that connects Kalabari to Ijaws in Bayelsa that connects Ikwerre to other Igbo clans.

As for the language can an ebony man understand the language of an IMO state or anambra man?

Arrant nonsense!!! The most of the progenitors of the todays' so-called Ijo were Igbo. Some of the forbearers wore names only intelligible to Igbo person. Names such as Utazi, Otaji, Ediabali. Azumini. Ikiri, Ndoli, Opuamakuba etc. However some took names from Indians and Filipinos who were ship hands or mates on the British ships. Equally the names of ship Captains on British ships were embraced as "nicknames". Besides Ijo, there is no other ethnic group in eastern region as close to Igbo as the Annang, Ibibio and Ogoni. Why did influence of the Igbo fail to change the names and languages of these groups?
