I will be Trading the AUD Cash rate tomorow morning and this is my view... we have a QM structure on the 4hrs TF, price has pulled back to the QM level which is a good area to sell from, but we can see a supply area that led to the change of character clearly on 1hr TF. so i will be waiting for price to drive into the supply area, will drop down to the 1min chart once this happen to lookout for QM pttern to sell this asset.

A sad miss on GU this AM.

@realone12 , we all experience that.
Just try to stick to an asset or 2, and then learn to lower your trading risk by using the lower TF(1min) for your entry and sl...

Recently I stopped using pending orders and started waiting for reversal patterns like @sa.intfaculty does. it's quite stressful but isn't that the cost of learning?

Waiting for reversal patterns before taking a trade is a great, though conservative way of trading but this has improved on my trade result. On Friday GU, waited for price do drop into my poi, looked out for reversal patterns before taking the trade. If I had place a sell limit at the opening/beginning of the poi, my sl would have been taking out before price dropped. U see how price printed my reversal pattern, both bos/Choch were formed on lower TF and it was a good trade.

Nice one... i never saw it from that light... QM is one of my favorite pattern and yes i can see similarities between choch,bos and QM.

Good evening, one question Abeg. What’s the difference between BOS and Choc?

BOS is a continuation pattern, while Choch is a Reversal pattern.... Most times before price reverse we see a BOS, and then a Choch followed by a retest of the order block/supply area that lead to the Choch.... Please look up videos on this on YouTube.. lots of good stuff there on this topic

Just an addon on the 1min entry i talked about earlier...
Please do well to lookout for BOS/CHOCH on youtube and learn how to spot them, it will greatly improve your trade results,reduce your trade risk, increase your reward and eliminate fomo during trading.

Looking at the sell on GU on friday... i missed this, had other commitment
All i needed to do was to wait for price to drop into my zone of interest..., Then i drop down to 1mins chart and Lookout for a change in character of price (choch) , wait for price to return to the supply or OB that lead to the CHOCH and i sell at 50% mark of the OB or supply.... The risk on these trades is usually around 3-7pips.
This is the same pattern i wait and watchout for daily on GU... Some days its clearer, some other time u need to train your eyes to be able to spot the OB or supply area.... The same thing is applicable to buy setups. If I don't spot this reversal pattern, most of the time I skip the trade.

Abeg o but u didn't really get my Point.
Before now, I take my entries from 15min TF with 15_30pips sl... Now I drop down to 1min to refine my entries in order to reduce the risk to 5-7 pips.... Its ok Sha, what works for me might not work for others.

I have been neglecting the 1min chart for a long time now but discovered that the 1min TF was actually designed for entries... This discovery has improved slightly on my trading result. Analysis(poi's) takes place as usual on Higher TF's. Go down to 1min TF to lookout for entries... You will be amazed with level of reversal patterns/structure that u can easily spot on 1min TF. Your reversal entry on the 1min can be price returning to an order block, flip zone, qm , trendline or fib retracement levels or even general chart patterns like the wedges, pennants etc..... And the risk:reward ratio is crazy.... Usually my sl is around 15-30 pips... But I see my self having 5,6,7 pips sl's trading setups from the 1m chart.
Note that on the 1min TF u will spot many patterns/structures, the ones I take are the ones in line with my view/projection from the HTF's. Hopefully someone picks a thing or 2 from this.

The truth about the box I watch and every other area of interest is that they are not effective on their own, but when we find a price action pattern that conforms with the pyschology of traders within that zone, there we have a perfect trade setup....
No be juju... Price fit just shoot up inside your OB or any box u looking at and violate it without mercy... Thats why we lookout for reversal patterns before taking any trade within any area of interest... For GU which is my favorite pair, it almost always form an M or W pattern or wick rejections before it reverses and if price drops into my area of interest and does not print a recognizable reversal pattern, I skip the trade.

If u look at my POI for the last 7 trading days on gbpusd, u will notice that price formed an M or w pattern before leaving the box.... thats why its good to stick to an asset or 2 coz u tend to understand the reversal patterns formed by that asset.
