thts the point . We don't need more products we need more producers.
I quite understand your angle and totally agree with you but the cheapest place to manufacture right now remains China. Even, the likes of iPhone and Samsung are assembled there. Until such time when the government provides the infrastructures to encourage local manufacture, we'd all continue building China's economy.
Meanwhile, WE, all are the government.

The competition might actually spur them to up upgrade in order to meet consumer's taste. They've enjoyed a long time patronage and already have the structure. They'd just have to meet certain standards to stay relevant. Competition is good!

If all these rumours are true at a price point of $440, it'll look like I'm ready to abandon my RN4. That February/March timing also seem perfect for switching phones.
I hated the notch on Mi 8 or any other notch but waterdrop might be tolerable.

Why are you sounding pessimistic man? See wetin tecno don cause. embarassed

Xiaomi phones have great build quality and don't develop faults out of the blue if handled properly and with the right accessories.

I can attest to your commendation of Xiaomi build quality. My 19 months old Redmi note 4 is your witness.
But these things don't work that way with a carefree mother who has three hyper-active baby boys. I knew how her three previous phones journeyed.

Get her Huawei y9, that phone is sleek. She will like it.
She's Ib based. I'm not certain Huawei get office for there. It'll mean she'd send it to me in Lagos to repair-the kinda job I'm avoiding

I gotta buy phone for my twin sis but feels the only option available for me right now are these Mediatek craps forming local champion in Nigeria. If I get her Xiaomi, I'd be earning a new job of maintenance- troubleshooting, broken screen repair, answering seemingly inane question. If you know how Tom and Jerry we are as twin, you wouldn't want to kind of job. She's better of with a brand she'd readily get local support/spare parts for without my input.
Spending a dime on another Tecno or Infinix just dey pain me. Choi!

I pray this decision to ban ads entirety does not come back to haunt us. 1 ad per day per seller would have been the perfect solution.

I loved the Note 2 with that curved screen and flagship SoC until they ruined that series with the last iteration coming with mid ranger SoC

My suggestions

Sellers should create a whatsapp group and take turn to post adds, d whatsapp group will be for u guys to update each oda and take turns to drop add/ reminder on who's turn it is to drop an add, this will eliminate d issue of 2 - 3 adds being dropped accidentally.

Thanks

Why is it that the only thing I hear is "form a cabal", "empower the union", "start a dynasty"?

I'm only kidding
Or maybe I'm not undecided

It's a new year and I would like to propose a slight modification to this sales advert rule. Looking at the potential number of sales "agents" on this thread already, I want to suggest that a seller should be entitled to ONE ad a day and the rule of one ad per page should still be adhered to. We have 4 consistent phone sellers, 2 accessories sellers, data resellers, repair merchant too and who knows what other additions we might have as the year progresses.

This is just a suggestion because we need to be as fair as possible to everyone. Any suggestion is welcomed, affected stakeholders wetin Una feel?

Fifthed

Then, we'd have to contend with indirect ads in the form of quotes of previous ads

Umidigi kept rolling out these mediatek devices and call them "flagship", "monster", "flagship killer", "best" etc. Wouldn't somebody send them a pack of 1000 pieces of SD 855 SoC? I'd like to see them combine their remarkable marketing tricks to a proper flagship and watch the domino effect.
