A lot of times I see posts about engineering in Nigerian universities on different sites and I came to realise that nobody has been saying nothing about my University. The one and only Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University(ATBU). Bauchi.... aka. The Atomic Time Bomb University( No Time to check Time) Many of the stuffs usually posted are just based on personal judgments and not facts. Escpecially by those who dont know much about other schools. ATBU is definitely one of the best, if not the best in engineering programmes generally and best in Mechanical Engineering. Long like ATBU . Doctrina Mater Artium... |
Hello guy. I want to use this opportunity to ask a question I have been seeking genuine answers to. HOW SOLID IS THE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING PROGRAMME IN THE UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN COMPARED TO OTHER UNIVERSITIES? AND HOW TOUGH DO STUDENTS FIND IT? I need sincere answers urgently please. God bless!!! |
eelvismd: [b]Really?I think the point is that. You might get confused if your father speaks of unknown terms to you and. Your Father can also get confused when you speak jargons you learnt Info school to him. That doesnt spoil the tree-fruit /father-son/ Mechanical-chemical relationship |
Hello people, I just completed my National Identification Registration today here in bauchi. I was told that would alert me when my IDcard is ready. Does that probably mean that its this eID i would be given or this would take another entirely different process? |
RedBenson: Why we no go para when most Nigerian ladies can be so annoying? They do almost nothing and yet expect to marry a rich dude. From where? Most ladies dump guys or refuse to date guys cos of thier present financial level, if later they hear that God has visited the same guy, they begin flash, call and be sending some undescribable text messages and full ur phone. Why do they always want to reap where they did not sow?Why una dey tackle each other na!? we are here to discuss offshore and not tackling please |
royarpit1: I'm an offshore worker working in Middle East country. Working in offshore is really a great opportunity. Salary is attractive than any other shore based job. Everything is there to make the offshore life more comfortable. Movie hall, playing room, Gym room, Galley with delicious foods, Recreation room make us boring free. The best part is the working schedule. In most of the Rigs it's 28 days on and 28 days off. That means after 28 days duty one can get a fully 28 days vacation. Those who wants to join offshore rig and make their life more enjoyable please visit www.vacancyinoffshore.com , where I've discussed about offshore life, offshore latest vacancies.Peace be upon you! This middle east offshore job seems kinda more attractive. Especially this 28 days on & off shift. If your family are outside the country, you can easily travel down to spend good time with them. Please can you shed more light on this middle east offshore thing. I personally have always been interested in that part of the world. What exactly can one do to ease his way into the industry down there. What kind of things would give an edge to getting the job. Your reply would be so appreciated And, do you think they pay better there than in Nigeria. Lets have a.view of what the salary looks like. |
emmy4real94: Hy bro.. In ds 2014 jamb I scored 205, and aplied I.T, so wats nxt for me? I dnt jux knw hw to go abt it...6 credits in SSCE. . . And the next thing is, WELCOME TO ATBU |
If you chose ATBU in the 2014 UTME examination and have questions about the school, here is a forum to ask you questions. To be very realistic ATBU is one of the easiest in terms of admission in Nigeria. I can assure you that. All you need is your 180+ in UTME and Your 6 credits in SSCE relevant to your course. Judging by the last screening exercise. If there would be changes you will get to know here in this forum. Wish you all the best of luck.

RedBenson: U marry oil worker abi? See ur mouth. Ur boyfriend wey still dey hustle for Ikorodu, u no wan marry that one abi?laff won kill me die. All these funny comments.... mehn! una no go kill person.... |
modewap: Please sir, what is the difference between mechanical engineering and product engineering? Or is product engineering a sub department under mechanical engineering?I think mechanical is kind of completely different from productions. same courses might be offered from 100-300level. but theres vivid difference in 400level. Because by then, you get to strictly face what u are studying... But In a situation where by One does Mechanical Nd product. thats double honour Two in one degree. both its really over load. In my school, lectures tell the students that 2.1 @ the course is equal to 1st class in any mech eng in any naija university. ATBU is only uni that does such a crazy combo except from Enugu state uni i think. But here is really mad! |
massmedia: iz this amusa opeyemi of OBMS ringroad ibadan,,alimi john friend??wow. dont tell me I know OBMS well. am a confirm IB boy. i rep Kambridge college oni&sons. OBMS girls are bad!!! I had one there too |
top10nigeria: 32million means that plus tax I am doing about 40. Also, my low 32 has to do with age and not yrs. Age is not on my side. I am 32. I have a colleague on my level who is 46 and on my same level earning 47mil. Also wages grow in "triangles". As you grow, your salary growth stalls. It has nothing to do with Technician or Engineering. Eg. my overall boss who is like the Installation manager earns about 70Mil and he has not had a salary increment for 3yrs because he has maxed out and only gets 5% annual productivity bonus and asset optimization bonus which is undefined depending on how much cost he saves. He is 30yrs in service, now Senior management and looking to retire in 2yrs. So salary is defined by a combination of all kinds of things that HR experts put together. Your first 10yrs, your salary will grow faster but then remember that the company wants to make sure they control how much pension they will have to pay you after retirement, especially considering that Nigeria staff get automatic 11% increase every year due to Nigeria inflation, plus the company is paying a percentage of your salary into your RSA. So there is a conscious effort to manage how much pension you will be due as at the time of retirement which makes also affects your salary growth.discussions like this drive me crazy. Am a 100level student in ATBU.Bauchi. Mechanical and productions engineering. @ Top man. you are a motivation. This discussion makes me want to do anything to get that 1st class. Mehn! |
Wiinnd: Hey, i'm studying Production and Industrial Engineering in University of Benin. I'm in my Year 4. Production Engine is the best. The Mother of all Engineering. How you dey?Am great oh bro. Hows uniben like na. cuz here in ATBU, probably due to the crazy combination of mechanical and production things no easy oh. nobody has ever grad with a first class degree in the course since the existence of the school. very few 2.1 but 2.2 nd 3rd class are like promo |
Hello room. Lemme ask, do we have engineering students in Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in the house? |
Hi, Alawiye Abdulsalam by name. I rep mechanical and productions engineering. Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi. The Atomic Time Bomb University. Feels good to be here tho. |
This thread is a highly motivating one. Am a student Of Mechanical and productions engineering here in Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi. and i wish that one day probably after graduation, i would get to work offshore. I really need you that are into it aleady to give a little piece of advice on how to make it up there without being stressed up. Cus obviously you all sound relaxed and cool now. You know what u see on your pay slip makes you smile. Definitely u must have been through some hard times. Nothing good comes easy. please give us aspirant areas where we should focus more on. God bless y'all. |

@falconey. am surely awaiting admission list......I pray we will all be admitted..... am just trying to get more enlightenment because I have never heard much about the remedial thing before |
falconey: Remedial is a six months or more programme of an institution dat enable you enter 200 level into the institution.........u will start as a student if u pass..... is a ticket to 200level...the amount for the programme is always expensive more than the main students fee. Thanks for that enlightenment!....... If someone is not offered admission Asin time....can he apply for remedial?...... because this second or no second choice. And indigene nd no indigene thing is making me think of another option. |
Jamonirich: tank u all for evrytin. Dey say, trut is bitter dan liquor. D most important tin is u ask quetion an u av sm1 here to ansa u, am so hapy abt dat...... oya explain remedial to me now! |

Jamonirich: last year court off mark is 180. who know it might be reduce, and the good news is that, den knw dey do post ume. jobitess: As long as u are hoping, believing fully that ur admission is some good percent sure, then u will surely av it. U didnt choose d school by mistake neither did u choose it cos u dont av choice. I am of d opinion dat the delay of d list is 4 d gudness of both aspirants nd students of d school.FALCONEY & JAMONIRICH ar only tryin 2 help in restoring lost hopes about admission by supply every info they could get from the school directly 2 dis forum. So dear aspirants I beg u al, we should remain focused on notin but admision @ ATBU wit fervent prayers. This is our time. May d Almighty God help us all. Amen. Jamonirich: last year court off mark is 180. who know it might be reduce, and the good news is that, den knw dey do post ume.amen |
this thing is somehow confusing me o..... How will a school offer us admission When they don't know If our o'level is confirm.. will just check our data from jamb And just select their family And friends And Bauchi people And just choose names randomly And present it as admission list. don't they change people's course?..... How will they know the course we might like to change to?.... this no post jamb issue is not making sense well |
I don't even give a damn about any merit list. all I care about is that they should gimme admission. we don't even know yet If they will change our course. Wu has knowledge of the conditions that cause change of course |
