bakila:Unfortunately, I received not a single kobo as compensation. But what I got afterwards is MORE SECURITY AND ASSURANCE. If such or similar incident occur, the culprit will pay in full total expenditures incurred previously with interest and pay equal sum of damages |
I ploughed the land in February. Planted water melon all. Summary. the watermelon gave me 18 pick up load. at the rate of N30000. We sold them off at the local market as it too much in the market. 18 * 30000= N540000. This is the proceed excluding all transport and logistics fee. N540,000. So I have recouped my initial loss. My capital assets remain |
I was dejected but not tired. Since I already bought seeds for water melon and ploughed the land. We commenced work on water melon as cucumber and Ewedu farms are already a failure. |

Identifying a herd of cattle : Why do I need to be able to identify a herd of cattle? Of what use could that be? Yes. Very important. Lots of clashes we hear and read about daily about farmers and herders. My own sniffing around a firms something; MOST TIMES WE ARE ACCUSING THE WRONG HERD FOR OUR LOSS. Is that possible? But you actually saw them around your farm so they are the ones. 1. It is important you identify the herd that damage your farmland. 2. Notice the general color patterns on the particular herd you want to identify. E.g all white, all black, all read or mixed. 3. Look closely at the ears of those cows and observe the marking patterns. They must have a cutting somewhere. It could be on the two ears or on one ear. Better still spot the general ear cutting or markings. 4. Watch out for numbering or bodily marks e.g numerals or alphabets or line pattern across their bodies. Approach them calmly and cautiously too

My Gain The herdsmen fled to Republic of Benin never to return to our end again. A fugitive you will say. My farm will be free henceforth. I can sleep without fear of herdsmen in my base/farm again. MY LOSS I lost all the recurrent expenditure made on that farmland amounting to about N250,000. Other Capital expenditures exclusive

DSS INTERVENTION The DSS in my Local Government played a vital role in extracting Full Compensation. A formal report was lodged with pictures and video. An emergency meeting was called. The herdsmen NEVER SHOWED UP on appointed days. |
Very unfortunate. Total farm in ruins. Not a single trip to the market except for 2 bags at first picking

while the total damage was going on. the herdsmen were sleeping under a tree closeby. image coming soon

all was well as I had anticipated 250 bags of cucumber In my mind 250* 4000= N1,000,000. Fantastic idea. Back up plans : 1. Traditional veggies which gives me N20000 per week. Tested and Confirmed formula. 2. Plant water melon at onset of first rain. 3. The vegetable cycle should run for 2 cycles before may. |
Estimate expenditure about N250,000 Scan pics coming

I'm a lover of Cucumbits. I cultivate only during the dry season and go on holiday whence the rains are here. Location: Onile Oo Village, Igboora, Oyo State. ( Unfortunately, impromptu visits isn't possible as it is about 45km from main town. It's a river bank. I have access to about 10acres but only using about 5 acres only. Crops grown: Cucumber - the simplest ; Golden melon, Traditional Vegetables; water melon. Space booking |
Device means of determining when you crop needs water |
Do not water when it’s not needed; stick a finger into the soil to find out if it is dry. |
Water early morning or late in the day to avoid evaporation. Water evaporates quicker at midday. |
kolacluxe:If your farmland isn't more than 1-2acres it will work. The water reservoir sits on the floor. the 3inch pump sucks it's water from the reservoir while connected to a raingun. IF YOUR FARMLAND ISN'T MORE THAN 1-2ACRES ONLY! |
